This is a darling little home which provides the ideal location for traveling with your furry friends. It is in a good neighborhood for dog walking, plus it adjoins a large empty lot. Ideally located for walking to beautiful downtown Edenton
Minutes from the waterfront, coffee house and restaurants, independent shops and a downtown movie theater.
Good water pressure, large television with lots of channels plus free movies, full kitchen, all you need.
Owner is accessible and helpful, but not intrusive. You'll only see her if you need her.
Stay there every year and will continue to do so
Upon arrival to the cottage we were immediately taken with the front porch and well kept yard. The house and neighborhood are so appealing and conveniently located to downtown historic Edenton and the waterfront. The interior of the cottage is interesting with memorabilia and furnishings from the 1900's. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped with all essentials making our stay most enjoyable. We were accompanied by our 2 older "Golden Girls." The cottage, yard and adjoining park were ideal for our dogs. We truly enjoyed our stay and Karen, the owner, was so gracious and accommodating. We hope to return soon.
This cottage was idyllic and the owner anticipated a wide variety of our needs, making it a breeze to settle in and enjoy our time there with our dog. The house was clean and orderly, and we were super comfortable. If you have a kayak, paddleboard or canoe (or fishing gear), take them (or you can rent kayaks in town) - there is public ramp just for personal watercraft a couple of blocks away on the main waterfront. The main part of town is only a couple blocks away, and we walked to just about everything, the only exception being when we used the two bikes provided by the owner. Edenton is like something out of a southern storybook (be prepared to wave and say hello to everyone you come across - everyone is extremely friendly) and if you love small towns I guarantee you'll find yourself wondering if you can afford one of the picture-perfect cottages in the historic neighborhood.
The house had everything you could have possibly forgotten to bring. Our experience was perfect minus the jacuzzi tub not turning on. The house is just a short walk away from downtown and the Sound. There were two bikes provided but they are standard adult bikes, not made for midgets. There was information left about the home and the area on the coffee table, that was astounding to read. It was a fun experience and I would recommend anyone to stay there.
My husband and I stayed the weekend at Karen's house and it was everything we expected and more.We just needed a nice short getaway from Williamsburg and we brought our dogs because they are our kids!!
The house has everything you could possibly need and more. We were able to relax and chill out while being able to walk the dogs all over the neighborhood.
The house was immaculate and welcoming . We will definitely be visiting and staying here again.
My boys and I stayed in Karen's home in July of 2016. It was located in the quiet little village of Edenton and was centrally located to many of the sights we wanted to see. The cottage was comfortable, fully equipped with all the amenities of home, and the owner was extremely helpful when she personally came and let us in after I accidentally locked us out. Thank you Karen!!!!!
