This is a completely furnished one bedroom-one bathroom apartment offered at $2,800.00/month. We prefer 90-day minimums, but other terms may be negotiated. Please note: Starting 1 June our minimum term of stay is 90-days, i.e., 1 June - 31 August.
This elegantly furnished apartment is considered one of the best units in the building--located on first floor, rear of building, away from street noise and a rear deck that adjoins a nicely landscaped patio. The apartment boasts approximately 650 square feet, is handsomely furnished with many items from The Bombay Company and accented with tasteful wall art (many original pieces). The space is perfect for one person yet will accommodate two comfortably. Ceilings are 10' tall and pronounced with crown molding and recessed lighting. There is adequate natural lighting in both the living and bedroom areas. Hardwood flooring is throughout the apartment with plush area rugs and brilliant white, ceramic tile is used in both the kitchen and bathroom. Guest entry is securely controlled from within the apartment by a telephone/intercom system.
The living area has a chic and very comfortable leather sleeper sofa and leather storage ottoman, Queen Anne style writing desk and chair. In the living area you will also find a Sharp Aquas High-Definition, 32' flat-screen television, with Direct TV's Premium Channels that include (5) HBOs, (11) Starz and Encore channels all resonating from a Panasonic surround sound home theater system with iPod dock . . . AND . . . Verizon's secured High-Speed Internet (commercial service in both wired and wireless applications) is all included in rent---not bad for a nicely furnished apartment of this size in one of The District's hottest neighborhoods.
The kitchen opens to the living area joined by an 'eat-in' granite counter space with stylish Ralph Lauren bar stools. In the kitchen you will find everything needed to easily prepare meals: a full complement of pots and pans, glasses (water, juice and wine), dinner ware, flat ware all nicely accented by newly installed granite counter tops, stainless steel sink and a commercial grade faucet wand. Other kitchen accessories include: refrigerator, garbage disposal, dishwasher, ceramic top oven/range, toaster, coffee maker, and microwave oven. If you haven't determined by now---everything is here! All you need to bring are your clothes and your toothbrush!
The bedroom area is approximately 12' by 16' (click on apartment floor plan below for exact sizing details) and has a deep mahogany bedroom suite consisting of a 7' tall Colonial highboy chest, two night tables and a new full-size Seally Posturepedic mattress set. From the bedroom you can access a private deck and nicely landscaped patio with table and chairs for quiet relaxation. There is adequate closet space for your hanging and folding items. The apartment comes supplied with a complete set of pillows, towels, and linens.
The unit is equipped with washer/dryer and an iron and ironing board. An energy efficient heat pump (central air unit) with digital thermostat provides comfort year-around in the unit. Please note: utilities (electric usage) is NOT part of rent and will be deducted from security deposit at the end of your stay. All apartments are separately metered; therefore, you only pay for the electric used within your unit. The building and apartment is very energy efficient and your electric bills will strictly be based on your personal level of comfort (thermostat control), how frequently you cook to prepare meals and how often you use the washer/dryer. Recent electric invoices for this unit show approximately $59.00/month during spring and fall months and $86.00/month during winter and summer months.

You can relax in comfort while viewing a movie, DVD or watching your favorite TV show from High Definition (HD) flat screen TVs and Direct TV's Premium (HD) channels all resonating from surround sound home theater systems. High-Speed Internet is provided in both wired and wireless modes via Verizon's commercial-grade Internet service.
Nothing is more burdensome than hauling your dirty clothes to a laundry facility, so we've put a washer and dryer and iron and ironing board in every apartment. Should you need items dry cleaned, merely walk one block to Cupid Cleaners.
We are smartly situated (12 to 15 minute walk) between three (3) Metro rail lines (Adams Morgan/Woodley Park Station-red line and Columbia Heights Station-green and yellow lines) and several Metro bus lines (90, 92, 42, S2, S4, H1, H4) are merely one block away.

We are not a hotel or Bed and Breakfast and therefore not required to participate in D.C.'s Hotel Tax policy when terms of stay are 90 days or longer.
Electric usage will be deducted from your security deposit at end of your stay. All apartments are separately metered and you only pay for what you use. Your electric usage is predicated upon how much cooking you do, how frequently you wash and dry clothes and your personal level of comfort (thermostat setting to you central heat and air conditioning system).
We will provide you with a 'Move-In Checklist' to grade condition of the apartment upon taking possession. Before departing we will provide you with a 'Move-Out Checklist' as a guide to help you prepare the apartment to the condition found, or you can pay an additional $100.00 as a cleaning fee--your choice.
