Located high and dry just steps from the Muddy Mississippi River . This property is in the original footprint of the city of New Orleans !
Conveniently located near Tipatinas music club and walking distance to world famous Magazine st. Where you can shop until you drop then dine at the finest restaurants. You will never get tired of the sights and sounds in this hip, trendy area ! Easy commute to downtown and French quarter!
Fabulous floor plan with independent bedrooms and one and a half baths. Small galley kitchen and laundry in the unit. This unit is so well-laid out and an efficient use of space. You will love the convenience of the location. You can be at the universities in 10 minutes or downtown/CBD/French Quarter in 15 minutes !
The property was as described in the posting. Clean, comfortable and well appointed for 4 adults. Close to everything you need and a walmart just down the street for groceries. The list of restaurants was great and we found Coulis to be our favorite for breakfast/brunch. Stephen is responsive and easy to reach when needed. A couple things I noted, the front door could use an update, as it didn't seem to close as secure as we would have liked, although lock seemed to work fine. No fans in the bathrooms, however water was nice and hot and had good water pressure.
Loved the house. Short walk to Magazine for morning coffee. Centrally located. Easily accessible pleasant owner.
We enjoyed our stay in this property. It is a very charming house that seems to retain a lot of the original character from when it was originally built. The neighborhood is quiet and the property is within walking distance of several restaurants and shops along Magazine Street and St Charles. The listing was accurate and the property was as described. We particularly enjoyed the Garden District area and the house was a very nice home-base for trips we took to the Oak Alley Plantation, Pearl River Wildlife Preserve, Bogue Chitto State Park, City Park, and the Audubon Insectarium and Butterfly Museum. I would recommend this property.
We enjoyed the home and it was in a good location. Good coffee and kitchen equipped nicely. The linens were very clean and beds comfortable. Only drawback was tub very slow to drain and a small ceiling leak in front bedroom. The weather was really the only thing that put a damper on our stay as it rained the whole time we were in New Orleans, and you can't control that. We'd stay again.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this great little rental. We stayed for the weekend with our young daughter and had more than enough space. It was great for her to have her own bedroom, and yet we weren't far away at all with the two bedrooms positioned close by with the full bathroom between them. The kitchen is small but well stocked (I loved that it came with fresh coffee, sugar, filters, etc.) Plus, it is somewhat open to the dining room so it doesn't feel too cramped. The location is very convenient, but those who are not familiar with the area should know that being close to Tchoupitoulas is not always the most picturesque or tranquil setting in NOLA. However, we knew this going into the weekend, and didn't have any issue with sound or anything negative related to the neighborhood. In fact, I personally really enjoyed being able to go for a run on nearby Magazine street, which with all the retail shops and restaurants, makes exercising much more entertaining. Oh and one last thing, the bedroom linens and towels were also very nice, which made the place very home-y and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to others and stay here again myself.
Pleasant rental experience. Safe, well appointed, easy access to anything you could want to do in the Big Easy. loved the recommendations for dining and easy access - close walk to public transportation and nearby stores. Unbelievably great rate and really everything you would need as a base to enjoy the city without being in the thick of madness.
Walking distance to one of the best music clubs in the city (Tipitinas) !!!
