Great place for one or two couples. Very cost-effective in a convenient area of uptown New Orleans. Walking distance to world-famous Tipatinas nightclub. The fun place to be during jazz Fest. Always world class music.

We rented this house with another couple in April. Although the house had all the amenities listed, we were a little disappointed with the inside. The living room furniture was old and covered with slip covers, the second bedroom needed a mirror and didn't have a closet. The bathroom lack an exhaust fan, and the tub didn't drain. Also, drawers, and shelves seemed to have lots of clutter. It seemed to be a house in progress. Finally, our biggest concern with this rental was the door lock. As stated in a previous review we read about the house, we also had some problems with the lock. It usually took us several attempts to open the door, and a few times we were not confident we would get in. When we did contact the owner about the problem, he informed us that the lock was fine. He later emailed us, and stated he would stop by and look at it. Unfortunately, we never received any confirmation about his visit, and the lock continue to be very temperamental our entire stay. Even though the house was located close to bus and trolley lines, and had many restaurants, shops and bars within walking distance, we would not stay at this rental again unless some updates were made.

Walking distance to Magazine Street and Streetcar

Charming house in a great neighborhood. In walking distance to shopping, restaurants (the charbroiled oysters and cocktails at Dick and Jenny's restaurant are a must have) and St. Charles line streetcar. We did not need to rent a car during our stay. Would definitely rent again.

Great Urban location, avoids crowd yet right in the middle of action

Clean, easy access to parking car outside your front door and to everything including grocery stores, restaurants , Superior Seafood Restaurant 2 blocks away, Pascals 3 blocks away, Whole foods etc.

Quiet neighborhood

The home has the potential to be a very charming home. It is lacking attention to detail. We asked the host ahead of time if the property had a coffee maker and coffee and we were told that it had both. The morning after our arrival we found the container that is suppose to have coffee completely empty. We also realized pretty quickly that there was a shortage of toilet paper. We had an issue with the front door combination lock not working. We got back to the house around 10:00pm and the lock was not working. We called the owner and he seemed annoyed that we were locked out. He initially told us to call a locksmith. When we told him we were not the owners and might have an issue with a locksmith he said he would call. We ended up having to but a business card near the door latch to get the combo lock to stop making noise and allow us to re enter the combo code. I would recommend that the home be fully stocked with basic supplies.
