My family and I live full time in Lexington, MA. We decided to purchase a vacation home in Chatham, MA because of the short access from Boston. Chatham has all the charm and beauty as Nantucket Island has which is where we married. It just so happens Chatham is so much easier to get to than Nantucket! This was our first purchase and because of the experience and the quality of life we have had vacationing in Chatham we have purchased an additional property and decided to rent out this property moving forward. Being in North Chatham and one mile north of the Chatham Bars Inn this location gives us great access to the Atlantic ocean side beaches, Pleasant Bay and Downtown without running into any major traffic. Having a great breakfast/lunch restaurant (Lazy Lobster), great coffee, pastry's, sandwiches and ice cream (Chatham Coffee) and beverages (Chatham Light Liquors) within a minute walking distant is a huge plus.
The quality of the house and the fact their is a huge fenced in backyard with a large deck and room for fun outdoor activities is great.. The firepit (portable) and all weather table top tennis is fantastic and lots of fun! Additional benefits A/C, flat screen /Direct TV and high speed Internet.
The unfinished loft above the garage has plenty of character and is a great spot of 10+ year olds to have a 'fun away' location to watch t.v. , play games, sleep and just get some time away from the adults!
It was a pleasure staying at this property. Our favorite part was enjoying the time in the backyard and the deck. It was a great space for our nephews to run around and enjoy themselves. Ping Pong table was a huge hit amongst us and when we hosted a bbq. In fact, after using your grill which is connected to the main gas line, we decided that we will do the same at home. Cooking on gas was definitely much more enjoyable then propane.

We have nothing but amazing memories from staying at your vacation home to spending time in the cape in general.
Our family, which now includes 3 young adult children and 2 dogs, have been vacationing on the Cape for 23 years. This was by far one of our most favorite houses to rent. The space was perfect for us and had all the amenities we could ever want. The master bedroom wing was private and our dogs felt comfortable staying in there when we would leave them for a few hours to go to the beach. The loft over the garage was used a couple of nights by my 18 year old daughter and a few of her friends who were also vacationing on the Cape. When we found the toaster not to be working properly , we let the owners know and they had one shipped right away to us from Amazon! Thanks Evelyn and Dave! We hope to return next year.
Our family, which includes three young children and a small dog, enjoyed this home for a week in July 2016. Although we have been vacationing in Chatham for years, we found this location in North Chatham to be ideal in terms of its vicinity to downtown and a variety of beaches and restaurants. The house was so well appointed. The kitchen had everything you could ever need and the washer/dryer, outside shower, and completely fenced in yard were perfect. The house was immaculately clean when we arrived and everything was in good order. The owners were helpful and responsive. We would love to come back!
Your house was immaculate, cozy with a spacious private yard. We had a family wedding so children and grandchildren stayed with us. Close to everything especially the Lazy Lobster right across the street. We called in our orders and walked across to pick them up! Delicious. Sorry we didn't have more time to spend. Thank you
Wonderful house with loads of charm. Meticulous detail in every room from comfortable beds to well stocked kitchen. Owners are very responsive and quick to return email or phone calls. Coffee shop and wine shop 5 minute walk. Games, games and more games in the living room closet. All lights on dimmers to set a peaceful mood. Lightning fast Wifi. Huge fenced back yard with well planned deck for entertaining. Very pet friendly. Highly recommend this property.
We had a great time and enjoyed Chatham very much. The house was lovely, warm, and inviting! Very close to beaches, restaurants, and shops in town of Chatham. Our children had a great time as well and felt right at home. We truly enjoyed our time with family and friends and thankful for the opportunity Mr. and Mrs. Grainger provided. They were very responsive and great to work with!
We just returned from a wonderful week staying at this house. It was just perfect for us. The first floor master bedroom suite was amazing - gorgeous wide-panel wood floors, cathedral ceiling with basket-weave wood trim and ceiling fan and the most comfortable four poster queen bed. The master bathroom has a double Kohler deep sink vanity with gorgeous Kohler faucets, a beautiful stone floor shower, and large deep soaking tub. In these separate quarters are ample hall length closets and a stackable washer and dryer. Because this suite can be closed off from the main house, it was perfect for giving our two dogs some quiet time by themselves without them feeling like they were locked in a room alone. These same Kohler fixtures are in the other two bathrooms as well, along with gorgeous high gloss wood marine-like counters (like you would find in a fancy boat) throughout all bathrooms and kitchen. All through the house are beautiful wood floors and lots of windows that really let the light and air come through. The yard was great for our two dogs as well, since it is fully fenced in. While we were staying there we had four days of rain. The garage, with the covered path to the house was perfect for keeping us dry. The day we left we were able to load our car inside of the garage, which was so handy because we had a roof top carrier. If you are staying during the cooler months, you might want to bring some of your favorite cozy blankets with you, as we found the blankets provided to be more suited to summer temperatures. We were pleased to find a Keurig coffee maker along with a regular one in the beautiful, light-filled kitchen. This house is right on Route 28, so there is traffic, but we were not affected by it in the master bedroom suite, which is on the back of the house. The owners were also very responsive by email leading up to our arrival and very nice to deal with. We would highly recommend this home - especially if you are travelling with your dogs. We will definitely be returning next year!
