The Lodge at Beaverdam Creek Cove

Bedrooms 4
Space 3,400 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 0 - 3 nights

About the property

4 Bedrooms + 2 Sleeper Sofas, 3 Full Baths (Sleeps 8-12)

4-bedroom deluxe property completely renovated in 2008/2009. Four bedrooms with queen-sized beds; 2 additional full sofa beds. Beautifully re-done kitchen with all new appliances. Separate wet bar on lower level with beverage center and ice maker in game room with gaming table and billiard/ping-pong table. Game room opens to den with 42' Hitachi TV and sitting area by wood-burning fireplace. Walk out of lower level to large back yard for games. Three full baths--2 with tiled showers and 1 with tiled shower/tub. Upstairs great room includes kitchen with island bar, dining area and living room with wood-burning fireplace. Also TV's in kitchen & all bedrooms. Three bedrooms on upper level, one on lower level plus sleeper sofas in living room and den.

Lakefront property includes 150' shoreline with private dock and gazebo. Five-person Jacuzzi on lower patio. Chaise lounges, eating table and gas grill on upper deck.

Feedback from Past Renters: 1. Private boat ramp was big plus--little tykes could wade into the water to splash; big tykes could wade in, board their floaties and not spill their drinks. N.B. Most Lake Norman properties' shorelines are lined with large rocks, relegating swimming to jumping off the dock (which you may do on this property also).

2. Large, flat back yard was great for family participation in badminton, volleyball, croquet, boccee ball, etc.

3. Lots of activities available inside at night or on a rainy day: billiards, ping pong, gaming table, darts, TV, stereo, games.

4. Quiet cove location to watch ducks and mallards swim by, yet only 1/4 mile from open water.

5. Owner's attention to decorating detail and cleanliness of house were big plusses. Welcoming fresh flowers and chilled wine were thoughtful.

Near-By Amenities: 1. Array of restaurants from 3 to 7 miles away, including steak/seafood, sports bars/restaurants, sushi, Mexican and Chinese, as well as fast food outlets.

2. New, large, upscale grocery store 5 miles from house. ABC store 2 miles away.

3. Within 7 miles of house: Dick's Sports, WalMart, Walgreen's, CVC, Bed 'n Bath, Best Buy, Staples, Lowe's.

4. Within 2 miles of house: marina for pontoon boat and jet ski rentals; large passenger boat for lake cruises/tours.

5. Antique stores in old downtown area--about 9 miles away.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Wonderful place for our extended family to meet and enjoy our vacation. The house was perfect for those rainy days (which we did have many of). We were kept entertained by the numerous activities and great attention to detail. We will be back again.

Great place for family fun!

  • 4 of 5

Great for multiple couples. Only negative observation carpet needs to be cleaned. Owner was excellent to work with! Even decorated it for the Holliday.

The house was cute and accomadated our group of 11 ! But !!!! Could only give it a 3 star!

  • 3 of 5

When arriving to house , first impression that it was cute and plenty of room. Close to the lake, gazebo to enjoy. The poker table came in handy along with ping pong table. Kids enjoyed it. BUT a new cleaning company needs to be used. I spent a lot of time cleaning before I would unpack anything. Examples: coffee pot never cleaned. Grains filled with mold , had to soak it before I could even clean it. Cobb webs in several areas , the fridge down stairs never cleaned , sticky stuff all inside. Counter tops still had crumbs on it. Bath rugs were still in the dryer. All the patio furniture needed to be cleaned and wiped down. If you are alergic to bees , bring your epi pen. Two people got stung due to nests in the deck, but my husband sprayed and nocked them down. Make sure you have a green thumb because the owner expects you to water his plants . Which we did but still heard a complaint about it. The 3 bedrooms were perfect and our beds were very comfortable, EXCEPT the pull out sofas. Definitely bring air mattress and they will fit perfectly . Plenty of room. Everything worked At arrival except the jacuzzi but the worker that there was just finishing repairing the jacuzzi and it was enjoyed through the week. We rented a pontoon boat, great time all week with it. The owner has boats at the docks, so let him know you are getting one and he will make room for yours. Kids jumped right off the docks and swam. It was a great trip and would definitely come back to Lake Norman . Just as FYI you are right next door to the trailor park. All in all we spent most of our time on the lake . Rented jet ski's also for the day and it was great.

Excellent house!

  • 5 of 5

House was extremely well stocked and had one of the prettiest swimming areas that we have had since renting on Lake Norman the past couple of years. The downstairs game room and tv area was perfect for a family with children. House was close to area restaurants and shopping. Would definitely stay there again!

This home was perfect for our family Thanksgiving holiday. The fireplace was enjoyed on the cold nights. The main floor is very Cozy, yet open floorplan allows for great flow of all activity. We enjoyed boating on two 70 degree plus days. Had great place to keep our boat docked and a nice fishing spot right off of the pier. Downstairs of house is a Game Room/Family enjoyment area that became a great hangout for kids and sports watching. House is well equipped with all you need to cook meals and it is well located for access to local stores and restaurants. Thanks to Fred Jones for sharing this place with us and we are planning to come back.

Awesome Lake House!

  • 5 of 5

This lake house is AWESOME! Our family vacation was the first week of October 2016. Hurricane Mathew became an issue and all of the SC coastal towns were evacuated. We had to leave Edisto Island very quickly causing our kids and grandkids to be devastated in the fact that our 10-day vacation was interrupted so early into our vacation. We found this lake house online and contacted Mr. Jones. He was very accommodating and worked hard to meet our unexpected next day arrival. The house is very well laid out with three bedrooms upstairs with a large/well stocked kitchen and family room. The down stairs lake side of the house has a wonderful theater room and game room along with a wet bar, and another bedroom and full bath down stairs. This particular lay out was great for my family. The lakeside downstairs porch was wonderful. Even though Hurricane Mathew blew through, we were still able to use the porch and hot tub. If you have a large family with grand-kids, this house is for you. There is plenty of room for everyone and gives privacy where needed, but has smaller spaces for comfort and closeness with your family. The dock was well maintained and there was plenty of space to dock our 20-ft. boat. There is a boat ramp available on the property to put your boat in the water and take it out when you are done with your stay. We enjoyed having the boat docked and ready to go when the weather allowed for us to spend some time on Lake Norman. We certainly will return to this beautiful lake house again. Thank you, Mr. Jones, for sharing such a wonderful place with us!

THE Perfect Lake Norman Home Rental

  • 5 of 5

We have been renting vacation homes for many, many years on Home Away. We have had some good experience and some bad ones. Quite often the homes are not quite as nice as they photograph or are described. THIS house is the exception! Photo's for this house do not do it justice! It was the perfect home for us to rent for our son's wedding in Concord! And Fred could not have been more accommodating. He allowed a Thursday to Tuesday rental over the Labor Day weekend. The house was set up perfectly for the groomsmen/ guests and our family to relax and enjoy their time together before and after the wedding. The deck and patio had multiple seating option to enjoy the view of the lake. The hot tub was a hit and swimming off of the dock and volleyball was enjoyed by all! Fred made room at the dock for our boat and we all had so much fun! Only wish he was there to take us out on his beautiful sailboat!! The beds were comfortable (except the one across from the master, I am told) and we had plenty of closet space and nice large bathrooms. The downstairs gaming area, wet bar, laundry facilities and huge refrigerator was a nice bonus and we used it all! The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything I needed to cook some fantastic meals. The only minor negatives I could even say about this property was the bed linens could be upgraded and the sliding glasses doors could be replaced - but we had no difficulty using them. We definitely put a star by this rental and look forward to returning to The Lodge at Beaverdam Creek Cove!
