Tucked along a private lane is Mariner's Blue Rest. Two spacious airy parlors of many windows joined together create an excellent area for musicians to congregate and practice! Front porch of many windows is connected to parlor by more windows. See the view of Lubec Narrows. Feel the breezes of Johnson's Bay. All in the heart of Lubec Village.
Built by a seafarer, this home is tucked off the street in the quiet village of Lubec. The house is within walking distance of beaches, waterfront, restaurants, shops, grocery store, library, concerts, and more. Very close to Campobello Island in New Brunswick Canada.
Enjoy hiking, whale watching, sight seeing in our beautiful area. Take ferries out on the bay and see porpoise and whales as well as many sea birds.
This home will be your respite in away downeast, 'a world apart' as it has been called.

Nice but not adequate
House was clean, but no T.V. Scant furniture, small love seat not ideal for stretching out. Wireless password and contact information was outdated in info book. Tried to call/email the property manager but to no avail. Can live with everything else, but no T.V. is a deal breaker. Not happy.
We now have smart tv with ROKU. And Wi-Fi of course. The loveseat in the living room is a double recliner
Charming, tranquil cottage
This is the second summer we have stayed at this wonderful property. The cottage is simply furnished but has everything you may need. It's impeccably clean and we found it very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the friendliness of the neighbors in the adjacent homes. It's a very short walk to the main street, where you will find a number of pleasant restaurants and a great public library that welcomes out of towners.
The listing is completely accurate and the property manager was extremely helpful. We recommend it highly.
One thing potential renters should be aware of -- which is not a reflection on this specific property -- is that Lubec has no laundromat. So bring enough clothing to last your visit, or be prepared to drive half an hour to the nearest laundry.
Happy to say this year we have added a washer/dryer!
