About Rebecca Kissick, Brandon Petersen

Brandon is a Grand Junction native. He and I (Rebecca) met on the front range and relocated to Grand Junction in 2008. When work took him back to the Denver area, we decided to rent out our property so we had a place to stay when we came back and so others could enjoy our home. We now live locally again and are able to manage the property. We take pride in our rental.

What makes this house unique

This home is located close to town yet feels very secluded on the 1 acre lot. It was a perfect family home and always brings families and friends together. A great home to entertain.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Perfect home in Grand Junction

  • 5 of 5

We had to unfortunately come to visit Grand Junction for a death in the family and this was our first experience with a short term rental. Given the circumstance the last thing we wanted was more stress around where to stay and how the experience would be. Well this home exceeded all expectations. It felt like "home". It was clean, with fantastic views, plenty of amenities and the instructions were very clear and organized into a nice booklet. We couldn't have asked for anything more during what was for us a difficult time.

The property is beautiful & sets perfectly to offer plenty of room & the right amount of privacy.

We had a wonderful time with family and friends. The house was perfect for the wedding rehearsal dinner. Whether the guests were out on the patio or in the dinning areas there was room to mingle. The kitchen allowed for us to create some beautiful edible centerpieces for the wedding. After the wedding we retuned to the house for a very peaceful and restful night. We would stay here again and again!

Great place to stay with kids.

  • 5 of 5

The owners were easy to communicate with and very responsive.

We had a couple of minor maintenance issues which were easily resolved.

This is a large property that is great for those traveling with kids and pets.

Beautiful home, great patio & hot tub, nice yards, easy to locate w/access to stores, etc.

  • 4 of 5

We definitely enjoyed our stay here!! The home is well maintained and clean, bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The eat-in kitchen is large, open to the dining room and the formal living room. The game room downstairs has a pool table, foosball, gaming table and large TV and DVD player. Great for family game playing!! The patio is large with various sitting arrangements, fire pit, BBQ grill, and a hot tub that we used every nite!!! We were disappointed that my granddaughter wasn't able to utilize the sand box due to the fact it was overrun with ants and that the trampoline did not have a protective screen around it, but those are minor issues. The home worked wonderfully for our annual family vacation and would highly recommend it to anyone!!

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review Barbara. The sand box is being torn down next week as there is an ongoing ant problem that we can't seem to keep up with. We don't have a protective net around the trampoline due to it being ripped by wind. We have had a lot of comments on the safety of it and are considering getting rid of it all together but like having it as an option for kids. Other than that we are glad you enjoyed the home !

Spoiled for choice on things to do!

  • 5 of 5

Our group of three couples visited the Junction area for golf, vineyard touring and relaxation. We found this home was nearly perfect for our needs! There is plenty of room to spread out, the kitchen accommodated all of us making meals and the amount of games (cornhole, basketball, ping pong etc...) available actually made us want to hang out at the house all evening. The beds were all super comfortable... no complaints there! Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

Spacious, comfortable, and in a quiet neighborhood

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed a week-long stay in late August and had a lovely time. The owners are attentive and timely in responding to questions. Pool table, foosball, ping pong, hot tub, and being able to spread out were highlights for us. Beds were comfy and linens and towels very nice. The kitchen is well stocked with smaller kitchen items but cookware is poor; a downside for us as we wanted to cook our own meals. Location was perfect for us as we planned to visit Arches, Canyonlands, CO Natl Monument, and Black Canyon of the Gunnison - and did! If we find ourselves back in Grand Junction, we'd happily seek out this house again.

Owner's Response: Bonnie, thank you for your review. In order to improve our property can you please be specific as to what items of cookware are "poor" ? I just inspected them all after the last reviewer stated they didn't meet her expectations and I found them all to be in good condition and nicer than what I have in my own home :) . If you could please be descriptive that would help me improve things. I'm glad everything else at the property was satisfactory and you all enjoyed your stay.
