The view from the cottage offers spectacular vistas of the river and valley. Three bedrooms, large kitchen, laundry, satellite TV, one bath and an outside deck overlooking the valley. Here is a wonderful escape from city life for a family, a couple, or a few friends.
Hike the ancient trail to the river where you will find fishing, canoeing, swimming and exploring. Hike the 150 acres or roam the Natural area close by. Bring your camera and a pair of rough shoes. Or simply relax in the hammock or relax by the outside fire on peaceful evenings. Children can splash in the creek. Pets are permitted. Wildlife abounds.
The setting is secluded well away from others. Memories will be made here.
Well, Tom actually grew up on this property. We were both gone from the country for most of our working years.
When we came back we vowed to slow our lives down and begin enjoying the days here in this special place. We enjoy the people who visit as guests. We preach nature and relaxation here at Rock Eddy Bluff Farm.
Kathy and Tom Corey purchased this cottage in 1991
This property in on the land where Tom grew up. It has many memories for him. Our country business is unique in the state, offering secluded accommodations in the ozark woods. The cabins/cottages have scenic views of the river valley and are well apart from each other.
Rock Eddy Bluff Farm offers fully modern cottages and off-the-grid cabins in the woods.
Fishing, canoeing, RELAXING, hiking, bird and nature watching, silence, solitude, photography, art. And there are family campfires in the eve along with the singing of coyotes and owls.
Great weekend for my husband & I (plus two dogs!). The view was beautiful, the cabin had everything we needed, our only complaint was our weekend was too short ;) We loved our visit and would definitely come back!
Within view from the cottage and approximately 1 mile away is Clifty Creek Hollow, home to a beautiful natural stream running down an unspoiled hollow. Here kids can play in the creek. Further up the creek is a Conservations Dept natural area featuring an enjoyable hike to a natural limestone bridge across the creek.
At the river below the bluff you will find a sandbar make for wading and swimming. Bass and other species lurk in the waters near the rocks in the eddy.
While there are many things to occupy guests away from the location, most come here to stay in these natural surroundings. Some come to purely relax and unwind from the pressures of modern living, while others choose a more active getaway, finding pleasure in hiking, canoeing, fishing, and nature and bird watching.
This cottage will attract nature enthusiasts and those who love a country setting. Think spectacular views, relaxing setting, pleasant walks, campfires in the evening, and all the modern amenities for your comfort.
