What a wonderful house to stay! We enjoyed the house and the location was unbeatable! We spent our days playing in the water, walking, and reading and our nights out on the porch were just awesome! The rate for the whole house (five adults) was the same as just one hotel room in downtown Syracuse and the house was roomy and comfortable. We are definitely coming back!
This was an amazing experience! The house was beautiful and clean. Anything we needed was right there. The owner was nice and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone.
My siblings and I were looking for a place where we could gather for a family reunion and to celebrate the life of my dad who passed away. We were very pleased to find this lovely home on Oneida Lake, a very tranquil spot with beautiful views of the lake. Only three couples stayed at the house overnight, but the hosts were very accommodating to let us set up tents for three young people to sleep, and also portable canopies for meals when others came during the day. We enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding right from the dock, and my brother was able to put in his sailboat at the public launch a couple miles away. A highlight of the weekend was getting my 92-year-old mom out in a kayak!
My family had a wonderful time at the property. They were very resposive to our concerns and facilitated our needs. We were looking for some peace and quiet from the city life and enjoying nature, and that's exactly what we got. Would book again. View from the master bedroom is great.
We had a lovely weekend! The kitchen was stocked with about every gadget you can imagine. We enjoyed a cookout on the back deck. The view of the lake from the living room and the back yard was just wonderful. There were plenty of sheets and towels for everyone. The neighbors are quite close, but very friendly.
I may be a bit on the nerdy side here, but I would have liked a binder with pamphlets of things to do or go to in the area (there were a couple for restaurants in a drawer) and reminders of how everything should be left. I brought a copy of my contract with me.
Pat got back to us very quickly about everything, including the deposit. Thanks for sharing this house with us!
The home is less than five minutes by land or water from marinas, Free State boat launch, boat rentals, public golf course, Town Park, and great restaurants. The convenient location is in the center of the lake shore in Bridgeport, NY, so it is only 20 minutes East to Sylvan Beach and 20 minutes West to Oneida Shores Park. Although hard to believe when gazing at the lake, if you’re up for more action it is also only a 25 minute drive to Turning Stone Casino, Destiny USA Shopping Mall, and Downtown Syracuse (Armory Square).
