About Paul Bradley
I am a physician in the US and Mindy is a CPA. Our friend was the original developer of the area and we fell in love with the place on our first visit.
Paul Bradley purchased this Villa in 2004
Why Paul Bradley chose Dominicalito
We did not plan on buying anything on our first visit to the area. The beauty, tranquility, and romance of the area overwhelmed us and we bought a lot on impulse. After a year of thinking we had gone mad buying property in a foreign county, we decided we might as well take the deep plunge and started construction of the villa. It took almost 5 years of a crew of artisans and craftsmen to complete the project, but it is absolutely amazing.
What makes this Villa unique
THE VIEW!!! I've taken tens of thousands of photos and I have yet to do the view justice. It's just so big that you can't take it all in in one photograph. You feel like you are literally perched on top of the world looking out on the most beautiful coastal view. If that were not enough, the 10 foot tide which sweeps in twice a day constantly changes the landscape. And the sunsets are beyond spectacular!

Unforgettable Costa Rican family vacation at Villa Paraiso
We loved everything about Villa Paraiso. The views and amenities are self-evident from the pictures but more lovely in person. Even better were Olmer's knowledgeable concierge services and personal attention, chef Adams' wonderful meals and stories, Ruth's help and kindness around the house, and all the other adventures we enjoyed in the area from whale watching to sunset horseback riding on the beach, ATV rides to a high altitude coffee farm, and just hanging out at a local bar where monkeys stopped in each afternoon. Tons of room for our family of eight to spread out and relax, but great opportunities to come together over fine cuisine, time at the beautiful pool, and memorable sunsets with some wine from the cellar. Can't wait to return!
Thanks so much for the wonderful review. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
I could not have been happier with our stay at Villa Paraiso. The amazing view was breathtaking and the home absolutely incredible. The beds were super comfortable, the grounds beautiful, the house clean, and the pool - words can not describe! We hired a private chef for the duration of our stay and that just topped off this once in a lifetime trip for our family. Rambo Tico and his assistant Diego treated our family like royalty! I highly recommend this property!
Thanks so much for the kind review. We hope to see you back soon. Pura Vida!
Stunning views while relaxing in this amazing villa
We are coming back!! We fell in love with Costa Rica and we felt like we hit the jackpot on our first visit to this amazing country! The home is located out of any tourist congestion...but yet close to many activities you would like to do. Many waterfall hikes are nearby, national parks and even a great hike right out the front door! We would take our morning walk and every day we would see wildlife...monkeys, toucans, piccary, parrots and more!
We traveled with 5 family units and the villa is spacious enough for us all...and set up nicely so that privacy can be had when wanted. The pool was the best pool I have ever been in...the kitchen is large and has everything needed for cooking and sharing meals together.
Views are spectacular and the sunsets were so beautiful....We talked about coming back to Costa Rica to explore other areas of the country....but that may need to wait a while....because we are booking our stay next year right here!!
We also want to thank Ruth and Olmer for taking care of all our needs. Thanks again for an amazing vacation experience!
Thank you so much! We look forward to seeing you again next year.
We had a great week at Villa Paraiso! This home worked very well for 6 teenagers and 2 adults -- with plenty of space and amenities. Highlights - the view of the coastline is absolutely spectacular, from sunrise to sunset. The pool is great fun, and the kitchen/dining/veranda areas were perfect for entertaining. The location of the house was convenient for getting our group to and from the beaches, town and activities. Thank you and compliments to Olmer, the Property Manager/Concierge, who was always accessible and very helpful before and during our stay. Olmer, I enjoyed working with you very much! He helped with activity arrangements and addressed questions and minor repairs. Many thanks to Ruth, the Villa's housekeeper, who was so nice and on top of things! While staying at Villa Paraiso, we did everything from kayaking and surfing, to waterfall rappelling and spa appointments -- great experiences and memories! Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us!
Thanks so much for the kind review. We hope to see you again next year!
This property is breathtaking.
We were 7 guests in this beautiful estate and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The property comes with a housekeeper each day and a wonderful concierge to help you plan all your activities. We highly recommend it!
Thanks so much for the kind review. We hope to see you back next year!
Fabulous home with spectacular view!
Our three generational family of 10 just returned from a wonderful Costa Rican vacation, which was made even more special due to this fabulous abode. The view of the coastline is spectacular. The huge covered terrace and pool were a big hit with our family, 5-74 years old. Most nights we ate on the terrace. Some of the children even ate at the swim-up bar, so that they didn't have to leave the pool! The terrace wraps around the house on 2 sides, so a comfortable spot in the shade is always available. The inside dining/living room was beautifully furnished and comfortable, as well. A few of us sought the AC there, when the temp outside soared. The bedrooms are as described on the site, with AC and en-suite bathrooms. All have a safe. Our Master suite on the top floor, was sumptuous. Huge rock-lined shower, big double vanity area, closet, toilet area plus a big outside terrace with hot tub. There are no curtains in the MBR, so if a 5:30 AM sunrise bothers you, bring eye-shades. We had one of our grandchildren sleeping up there with us on a blow-up queen bed and there was plenty of room to walk around it. It was nice to be able to have a wine cellar, of which we availed ourselves. And, the home theater was a fun perk. The housekeeper, Ruth, keeps everything spotless. We used the Chef, Osi, who prepared outstanding meals! Our delicious daily breakfasts were varied. Dinners were really terrific, too. There is a nice menu, from which you can pre-order your meals. A few in our group have severe food allergies, but Osi catered to their needs very well. Those three ate in every night. Others went out to eat a couple of times. Langosta Feliz is a typical Tico restaurant, with few Gringos in attendance. La Parcela, only five minutes away, has a gorgeous view, though parking is a challenge. Both are good, but go early. Olmer, the concierge, helped with home cooked menu choices and booked tours for us. He was very helpful! Get a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
Osa Canopy Tours in Uvita is a zip-lining experience that you'll never forget. We all loved it! But, it is not for the faint of heart. Go onto their site to see/read about it. The Jungle ATV tour in Uvita was a big hit, too. Very dusty, but fun. We took a truck ride up to Nauyuca Falls, which was a much better idea than trying to hike 4 km.straight up. Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary was fun to see,. Having a private guide in Manual Antonio Nat. Park was essential. Go to C.R. & stay here. Pura Vida!
Thanks so much for taking the time to write such a wonderful review.
Villa Paraiso is located within the Osa Peninsula, which National Geographic describes as: “the most biologically intense place on earth.” The house is an easy scenic 2.5-3 hour drive from the international airport in San Jose (SJO) down modern and recently paved highways. Or it can be reached by a quick 15 minute commuter flight, which leaves from the international airport and then a short 30 minute drive. Or for the ultimate experience, a 30 minute helicopter ride which lands at the house. The beauty of the area is that it has all the tourist activities of the rest of the country with virtually no tourist pressure. Perhaps, that is why Travel and Leisure Magazine dubbed the area the 'Hottest Travel Destinations of 2013.' It's also why Lonely Planet says of the area, “this is undoubtedly Costa Rica’s top spot to witness wildlife at its wildest.” Despite it's remoteness, there are amazing restaurants, grocery stores, liquor stores, and gift shops. Whether it's bird watching, hiking, surfing, or fishing, it's all a world class experience for those staying at the Villa Paraiso.
