Outdoors enjoy plenty of space for outdoor fun. Maybe you enjoy sitting by the lake and sipping ice tea and simply relaxing. Perhaps you rather try casting a line for some fish which is a great fishing lake. The lake shore is reedy so best to swim off of dock. The lake bottom is soft so may not be good for small children. Reviewer Comments:

The house was very peaceful and secluded. A little hard to find at night when arriving. The next morning in daylight, we had no problem at all locating the property. The house was more than we were expecting. There was some minor wear and tear with a couple of items in the house. More room than a family of 5 needed. The bathrooms were spacious and nice. Most of our time in the house was spent in the kitchen/living room area. The pool in the basement was unique although we only swam once just to say we did. Boat launch was located just across the lake and the fishing boat went in first thing Saturday morning. The dock was a nice touch to tie the boat up to. The exterior of the home was fair. We enjoyed the deck overlooking the lake and of course the fire pit was used nightly. If you want to swim in the lake, I recommend going out in the middle of the lake off a boat. Not much of a beach area. All and all a nice experience.

Reviewer Comments:

We booked this house for our annual weekend getaway for 8 women. The house was very clean and well kept. The kitchen was very well stocked. It was really hard to find the house as the vacation sign was blocked by tall grass and trash cans. After 20 minutes going back and forth on the main road, we finally found it. The first night was an adventure. The downstairs shower door had come off and the upstairs shower head had come off. The management was quick to respond and everything was fixed the next day. The only downside was the pool was ice cold. The temperature was 65 degrees and the heater was locked so needless to say we couldn't enjoy the pool and where this house is on the lake, you can't swim in the lake due to all the plant growth. It wasn't that big of a deal for us since we were there for the wineries and sleeping bear dunes.

Reviewer Comments:

We were in MI to see family for a very short amount of time. We booked this rental so we could have our family members come stay with us on the water and enjoy the pool. The pool was disgusting and looked filthy. Very cloudy and murky, every person who saw it made negative comments about it. It was EXTREMELY embarrassing! The chairs and benches around the fire pit were so filthy, they were covered in cob webs and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months. We paid $1900 for a 3 days stay &I this property was a lids grace to vacation rentals. The Ip North Live employees were no help, very rude. I will never stay with them again and most certainly not at this property.

Reviewer Comments:

My family enjoyed our time together at Pearl Lake. There was a public boat launch around the other side of the lake which allowed my dad an area to put his boat into Pearl Lake, there was a dock on our rental property which easily fit his 17 ft fishing boat. There was even room for our 12 foot Malibu 2 kayak. It was great being able to leave them on the dock the whole vacation overnight. Our girls enjoyed the indoor pool, however the water was freezing and murky (not sure why we couldn't see the pool bottom). Also, kids came down with mysterious terrible cough within 24 hours of using the pool. The lake was warmer, but not child friendly with natural lake growth...the kids would have loved a small sandy beach and swimming area free of seaweed. Kitchen was adequate but knives were dull and we couldn't find any steak knives or pairing knives for preparing meals. The coffee pot we had to run a couple cycles of vinegar thru as the first morning it took over 2 hours to make coffee. Firepit was very relaxing. The property was in need of maintenance, deck boards/nails stuck up, yard needed a mowing, weeds in areas I would have taken out if I had yard gloves/tools. Bedrooms were wonderful and had lots of space. There was low water pressure in sinks and showers, I liked low pressure but some of my family would have loved a faster stream for showering. Our family of 10 and dog did love the cozy great room space for gathering. The deck even had a gate at the top of the stairs which was great for the kids. Too many stairs for my grandparents to get to every floor/space but perfect master bedroom and bathroom for them. House is 2 story with pool in basement/walkout area. All in all a fun family vacation and lots of card games were played, lots of memories were made. Only a 30 minute drive to Traverse City.

We planned a weekend away as all of our kids, 24, 22,19, had finished school, work or had time off. We needed a place that allowed dogs as our daughter had just gotten a puppy. Everything was awesome! We grilled out our first night as the deck was equipped with a grill. Spent all the next day enjoying all of what northern Michigan has to offer. Thank you for your hospitality.

Stay started fairly rough. Difficult to find. Then arrived and bed broken. Called and someone came over that night to fix it. After fixed squeaked every time turned over. Wife took shower and faucet broke. Water wouldn't turn off and ran all night. Called and plumber arrived during day. Outside of house had cobwebs and bugs stuck all over it. Could use power washing. View to lake could be better if some trees were removed. Weeds along side of dock. We didn't use pool which is located in basement area. Otherwise property was clean and had plenty of towels and other items one need. Property managers were responsive.
