A Maui Coastal Family Vacation Rental, upgraded and clean from top to bottom. Playfully designed for the enjoyment of a small family or 1-2 couples. Our one bedroom has King size bed, TV, fan, W/D & private bath with walk-in shower. The upstairs Loft has two twin built-in bunks for the young ones and a full sized daybed extra. The living room has a queen sofa bed, TV with Netflix/Amazon,etc., built-in desk, fan, and opens via sliding glass doors to the lanai and open lawn and a bathroom with shower services both the loft guests and anyone else... Kitchen has brand new appliances, custom concrete countertops embedded with Maui Sea Shells, Bamboo cabinets, and eat-in table for 6. The Lanai also seats 6 to dine outside. Puamana is a unique & safe gated beachfront community one mile from Historic Lahaina Town, where residents and quest share 28 acres of mature tropical gardens, almost a mile of beach, two surf breaks, 3 swimming pools, swings and a tennis court. If you've stayed at Puamana before, Our unit is 23-4 overlooking the clubhouse and tennis court. We have ocean and mt views from our lanai and far enough from Hwy noise, only ocean waves and birds! Shoes are completely optional your whole stay. Ideal for families and friends alike. ALOHA!

About Kim McEvoy

We are a family of four that make the North Shore of Maui our full time home. We are committed to preserving our beautiful natural resources here on Maui. We donate 1% of net profits to Trilogy Corporation's Blue Planet Campaign promoting clean oceans and education (ask about getting involved during your stay). As we recently updated our unit we ecologically refurbished and artfully refurnished with local conservation in mind. Using renewable Bamboo cabinets, low VOC paints, Venetian walls and reclaiming & re-purposing many materials for a fresh, young, casual Maui style..

Why Kim McEvoy chose Maui

Why Puamana? When I was a kid I grew up in Lahaina. Puamana was my favorite place to ride my bike, roller skate, surf, play frisbee and hang out with all my friends. I wanted my family to enjoy it also. When we arrive it is SURF, POOL and PLAY time! No worries. You can enjoy leisurely, visiting the Plantation Era Clubhouse with spectacular ocean front swimming pool (unique in the Islands), lending library, workout room, piano, tiled courtyard and gazebo.

What makes this condo unique

The benefits of the Puamana Property are so many. It is hard to find open space complexes anymore. The mature trees make beautiful private shady spots to relax and read a book. And in the summer the Mango trees go off like crazy! The biggest & sweetest mangoes you'll every find.

Notes:
During Mango season (June- July) huge ripe fruit drop from gigantic trees. Yours for the collecting to make smoothes, margaritas or just straight up deliciousness. Two surf breaks accessed from property.

Pretty Much Perfect in Lahaina

This Puamana unit does not disappoint! It is as cute and clean as it appears in photos. It is steps from a pool, tennis, the club house and "beach"! It is nearer the entrance which is convenient – and yet with the way it is sited, it is still private and quiet. Everything worked well and there were plenty of towels, laundry detergent, etc. Having TV access to Netflix for the rare downtime was appreciated. The property manager lives on site and was very helpful. Kim, the owner was great to work with. We were a family of four from Oregon, with two teen boys. The boys took the upstairs — we ALL appreciated this separation of space. Everyone had their freedom to walk into town or play on site, conveniently and safely. We can only hope to stay here again in the future!

Perfect and magical

We stayed with our 4 year old and our 9 month old and Puamana was perfect! It was far enough away from the crowds of Lahaina town but close enough that we could walk into town if we wanted. The attention to detail was evident in all the small touches in the unit. Lots of thought and design which we really appreciated! Our son loved having all the grassy areas to run around and play in as well as the pools. Watching sunset in front of the clubhouse was spectacular. This was our first trip as a family of four and we cannot wait to return to Red Mango Surf Hale again!

Quaint comfortable and clean property

We stayed here for a week in June and had a great time. The property was clean/comfortable, and a great location with easy access to Lahaina, Kaanapali, as well as many of the great west side beaches of Maui. We will definitely consider this property again for future trips to Maui!

This unit gets a thumbs up!! Very clean, quiet and comfortable.

This Puamana unit easy great for our whole family(two bathrooms is a must for us). It did not disappoint us and was as it appeared in the photos. The unit was comfortable, spacious and had adequate setting inside and out. The kitchen had all the appliance big and small along with an extra large washer and cloths dryer. The location was convenient to major roads and tucked away from the crowds. The grounds and pools were beautifully maintained. We found the fresh mangos falling from the two biggest mango trees ever seen to be a delight. We especially loved watching the sunsets along the rocky shore line. If we ever make it back to Maui we will be sure to look up this location again.

Great Location

Really good spot: close to Lahaina to walk, unit was in a nice location close to the pool. Quiet family accommodation. Easy check in and we really appreciated the couple extra hours at checkout with a toddler! Overall a very pleasant stay.

Superb Location - Beautiful Condo!

Red Mango Surf Hale was in the perfect location within the gated Puamana Community- we really made the right choice!

Kim's place was always filled with beautiful light and an airy and open beach feel - very cozy! Only steps away from the Mountain Pool as well as the Ocean Pool and the gorgeous Club House. Our mornings drinking coffee on the Lanai, listening to the birds, and taking in the natural beauty are some of my best memories.

There were five of us - all adults and we were comfortable. It was nice to come back to the peaceful quiet of Puamana - only 1 mile down Front St. from the Lahaina waterfront shops and restaurants. You can walk, like my husband did, or Uber/Taxi if you plan on having multiple tropical cocktails and don't want to think about parking/driving.

We BBQ'd one evening and utilized the convenient washer/dryer. All so much better than a hotel. I highly recommend Kim's place and hope to book here again.
