Our Prince Kuhio condominium is a beautifully renovated studio that has been fully updated from top to bottom. This vacation retreat features slab granite counters, custom tiled floors, new appliances and cookware, and a generous king bed. It is close to everything and a great place to come home to after a day of sight-seeing.
Spend your mornings sipping coffee on the lanai. Take a stroll down the lane to the Shops at Kukuiula , or walk across the street to one of the top snorkeling beaches on Kauai. There is a popular surf-break just off the point where you can try your hand at surfing, or just watch the local talent as they ride the waves.
Enjoy relaxing by the newly renovated pool, surrounded by lush, tropical gardens and a beautiful lava rock waterfall. Have a sunset cocktail or dinner at the famed Beach House restaurant, just across the street. If you prefer to cook yourself, the kitchen is fully equipped and there is a wonderful barbeque area onsite. The Prince Kuhio even has a lovely koi pond in the gardens.
Had enough sun for the day? Then catch your favorite show or a movie on the 32” flat screen TV/DVD. At the end of the day, climb into the generous king size bed outfitted with a pillow-top mattress and Tommy Bahama bedding. Doze off listening to the rustling of the palm trees and wake to the soft chirping of tropical birds.
We keep our unit stocked with beach chairs, a beach umbrella, coolers, and beach towels. If our studio unit is not available for your dates, check out our beautiful one-bedroom at https://www.vrbo.com/783352.

We were recently married at Shipwreck Beach, just a few miles down the road from the Prince Kuhio Condominums on the sunny side of Kauai. We purchased this condo in the hopes of wintering here once we are retired.
Colleen Jergens purchased this condo in 2011
We enjoyed visiting several of the Hawaiian Islands, but Kauai quickly became our favorite. After staying at a few different hotels/condos we knew the Prince Kuhio was the right place for us. We love the quiet, laid-back feel of the complex and the stunning beauty of the grounds.
We love the monk seals that laze around the beach across the street. We often snorkel there and enjoy the multitude of fish and turtles we get to share the water with. Each evening the there is a loose knit group wandering across the street to take in the sunset at Lawai Beach - it has become a ritual of sorts, with lots of friendly folks basking in the last rays of the day.
We enjoy exploring all the different sides of the island, but it is always great to come back to Prince Kuhio - our home away from home.
All around perfect each stay. Love their condo, love the pool and beautiful lush grounds very relaxing and quiet. Can't beat the location sunny side of the island. Close to everything on South shore. Condo has everything you need. <3
We absolutely loved staying here. It was spacious for two people and had everything we could want. The fully stocked kitchen was a dream and allowed for a very affordable trip. The snorkel gear, beach chairs, cooler, beach towels, and drying rack really kept us ready for the next adventure. The movies and guide books were an added bonus. I loved the beautiful pool and listening to the wind rustling the palm trees and the birds singing. We made great use of the little patio - perfect for breakfast and reading. Convenient covered parking. To top it off, there is even a great book exchange in the building! For the price, the condo was twice as nice as I expected. Thank you for a wonderful week on the island!
This is where you want to stay on Kauai!! Its definitely a studio and worked great for two people, but no more. The pictures are very accurate. It had everything we needed in the kitchen, enough linens for our stay, and great beach supplies. Kitchen was stocked with tupperware, pots and pans, spatulas, silverware, glassware, coolers...everything! Air conditioning was a plus if we came back in the afternoon! We had more than enough room for our suitcases, and were easily able to cook a couple of dinners while we were there. Its worth noting that the pool closes at sundown, not 10 PM as it does many other places, so don't plan on swimming in the evening. Balcony has two chairs and a table and overlooks the pool, perfect place for a meal or reading. Also, we felt the beach down the street was a bit shallow and rough for snorkeling, so I would recommend Poipu Beach Park for newer snorkelers. Pretty close to great food, shopping, beaches, and hikes. The closest shopping center has a weekly farmers market and live music on the regular. Had no trouble getting the key/into the place, and it was very clean when we arrived. Would recommend nearby: Pizzetta, Chalupas, Garden Island Grille, Bubba's Burgers, and SoHa living for gifts. As with anywhere on Kauai, you may want to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper - there are roosters all over the island, and they crow early in the morning! Thanks Colleen for an excellent, easy stay!!
We just loved Prince Kuhio 234! It is beautiful, was sparkling clean, and was extremely well stocked with everything you could possibly think of. Colleen has put a lot of thought into providing her guests with the most comfortable and convenient place imaginable. The view is lovely, of the gardens with waterfall by the pool. We ate in everyday and had loads of dishes and cookware to use. It was wonderful to have a cooler, beach chairs, and an umbrella to grab as we were heading out for the day. The location is perfect. It was an easy drive to Waimea Canyon and to meet our snorkel boat in Port Allen. The little beach that is just across the street is amazing. We watched the sunset every night while enjoying sightings of sea turtles. Our first morning there a monk seal was hauled out on the sand just steps away from the sidewalk. The snorkeling here was tremendous too with all kinds of coral and fish. We were so impressed with the condo and could not have been more pleased, and such a bargain when you are trying to save money. We can not wait to return!
We had a very enjoyable stay in Kauai, and were very pleased with our accommodations. There was plenty of room for myself, husband and our 5 month old baby. The bed was very comfortable, the view (onto the pool) was nice, kitchen well stocked, and he bathroom had a very nice tiled shower. Beach chairs, towels, and coolers (stocked) were handy to have to bring to the beach The AC unit worked very well, and we found the unit to be quite soundproof. Great location (near spouting horn) and awesome price. We saved a lot of money by preparing our own meals in the unit (Costco in Lihue about 25 mins away). We found the travel books inside to be very useful in planning our days on the island, as well, and the location made it easy to access what the island had to offer. Great communication with property owners, Colleen and Mike, timely and professional. Overall, I would say the pictures don't do the condo justice (looks dated in the pictures, but in reality everything is new, clean and modern) and we would highly recommend this property... Hopefully being back ourselves in the future!
We loved our stay here. The grounds are well-kept and the condo's large windows and balcony offer a beautiful tropical view. Kitchen had all cookware we needed for homemade meals. A small beach is walking distance, great for snorkeling and sunsets, or to watch surfers in the distance. The air-conditioning unit was a blessing during the humid and hot week we were there. King size bed was very comfortable. Laundry facilities on grounds are good; there are dispensers for laundry products (note: must be scent-free). The beach chairs and cooler were handy for trips to the beach and picnics. We just froze a water bottle as our ice pack. We went scuba diving with Seasport Divers, just minutes away, which was a great experience. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here.
