You will discover why Pacific Grove calls itself “the last hometown,” in this pristine single-story ranch-style home whose traditional look has been updated for contemporary tastes. Imagine upscale Pottery Barn élan meets sun-drenched beach palette. This recently renovated three-bedroom two and one half bath cottage, which sleeps seven, is located in a quiet upscale neighborhood and makes a perfect getaway for family and friends to reconnect.

The location can't be beat. It is one street away from the Monterey Peninsula Recreational Trail, which follows the shoreline from beautiful Asilomar Beach around the point to Cannery Row and the famed Monterey Bay Aquarium. In addition to Esplanade Park, there is a tiny public succulent garden nearby. The friendly shops, restaurants and boutiques of downtown Pacific Grove are just a mile away. A picturesque lighthouse is a mere half-mile away, and a fine municipal golf course with ocean views that is the locals' best kept secret is a few blocks up the street. Carmel and Monterey are 10 minute drives.

This cheerful yellow house trimmed in white and teal has a classic feel with a curving stone path that leads to the front door and the tiled entry that opens to the comfortable living room. The interior has hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings throughout. Family and friends can gather for visiting, playing games, puzzles or watching their favorite programs or movies on the 49' HDTV in the comfortable living room with its red-brick fireplace, cushy sofas and sturdy dark wood tables. You can see the ocean from the dining room that features a dark wood rectangular table that seats six and old-fashioned wrought-iron chandelier. Cooking will be a pleasure in the bright, fully-equipped kitchen with its well-conceived layout and pristine white cabinetry and appliances -- including new gas range, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator. Read a magazine or book and sip your morning coffee at a round oak table in a cozy breakfast nook.

Pro Am Guest

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with another couple to attend the Att ProAm golf tournament in February 2017. The house was great! It was nicely decorated & located just a short walk (5 minutes max) to the ocean & the coastal walk/bike trail. You can take the trail along the ocean into Cannery Row which is about a mile away. There were very comfortable beds (very important to this traveler), plush bath towels, and a well stocked kitchen (including a dishwasher) with a nice breakfast table, and there was also a separate large dining room. There is a bonus bit of an ocean view from the kitchen window & dining room! We enjoyed using the outdoor gas barbecue and the living room gas fireplace. We all agreed that we would definitely stay here again!

Great location in Pacific Grove

  • 5 of 5

Lovely little home in Pacific Grove! Perfect location - just one block to the ocean and easy drive to Monterey & Carmel. Bedrooms were comfortable and well stocked with linens, which we appreciated since it was cold in December! Home was very clean and cozy, and very nicely decorated. Spacious living room for our family of six adults. Easy rental process and lots of information about home & surrounding area provided. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!

The most cozy, comfortable home, something out of HGTV!

  • 5 of 5

Great location, a block from the beach, an easy access to both villages of Pacific Grove and Monterrey. This home is so charming. It is an older home, but has a modern feel and decorated beautifully, like you find on HGTV. Beds very comfortable, linen and towels plush. You know the owners take pride in their home as they left great instructions, plus their are positive signs throughout the home which we found ourselves taking photos of. We did not use the backyard as it was too cool to sit on the patio chairs/table, but went on long walks along the beach. Nor did we use the kitchen much except for a light breakfast; the owners have it stocked with coffee and tea which was a treat:) We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful house, great location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with another family over Veteran's Day weekend and had a wonderful time. The third bedroom with 3 twin beds was perfect for our kids. The house is located in a nice neighborhood close to downtown Pacific Grove, shops, restaurants, grocery stores and best of all, only a block to the ocean! We ran the Pacific Grove 5K & 3K and it was less than 1.5 miles to the start at Lovers Point...super convenient. We also brought our bikes and hopped on the trail for a ride through Cannery Row and the Wharf. We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen - it had everything we needed including spices, foil, ziplock bags, etc. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! We will definitely be back.

The Monterey Peninsula is unique in its combination of breathtaking natural resources and a multiplicity of cultural and entertainment possibilities. You can find something for every possible taste. For nature lovers, there is the diversity of mountain and sea, for picnicking, surfing, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, beachcombing, bird-watching, kayaking, scuba diving, tidepooling, biking and more. If you want a man-made excitement, we have art galleries galore, excellent fine-art museums, local theater, outstanding restaurants, boutiques, a natural history and a children's museum, a world-class aquarium, and that's just for starters. History buffs will have a field day exploring the adobes of Monterey. There's so much to do that you cannot possibly do it all in one visit, which means you will have to come back.

Other Activities: Whale, dolphin and sea otter watching.
