1 block from the beach and beautifully kept home for a great price! Living room was big and comfortable, bedrooms and linens were excellent. Kitchen charming for a beach cottage. Home is very well kept and cleaned. Highly recommend a stay at this property!

Weekend get away

  • 5 of 5

Rooms were clean and smelled fresh! Comfy beds! The door to the backyard from the dining room sticks pretty hard and I was afraid I would damage it when I closed it.

Owner's Response: We are very pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit and we appreciate your comments about the patio door. We believe the door was sticky because of the series of heavy rains recently in Pacific Grove. We will have our housekeeper check to see if the problem is continuing, and we will fix it if it is.

Superb for 4 to 7 people.

  • 5 of 5

This is an excellent home for four to seven people. It has two full baths, good beds, lots of living space and is well-stocked with all that you will need. The home is very well maintained. The owners obviously take great pride in this home. It is a very short walk to the beach where there are benches to sit on and marvelous views of the ocean. There are many fine restaurants within short driving distance as well as shops, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the city of Monterey including its wonderful wharf. We found the home to be better than we expected and the Aikens extremely gracious and helpful when we had questions. Pacific Grove is a very peaceful city and does not seem to have any crime issues at all. Staying here is like going back in time to a more sane and serene era. This house is a great place to stay when visiting “the quiet side of the peninsula.”

Pro Am Guest

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with another couple to attend the Att ProAm golf tournament in February 2017. The house was great! It was nicely decorated & located just a short walk (5 minutes max) to the ocean & the coastal walk/bike trail. You can take the trail along the ocean into Cannery Row which is about a mile away. There were very comfortable beds (very important to this traveler), plush bath towels, and a well stocked kitchen (including a dishwasher) with a nice breakfast table, and there was also a separate large dining room. There is a bonus bit of an ocean view from the kitchen window & dining room! We enjoyed using the outdoor gas barbecue and the living room gas fireplace. We all agreed that we would definitely stay here again!

Great location in Pacific Grove

  • 5 of 5

Lovely little home in Pacific Grove! Perfect location - just one block to the ocean and easy drive to Monterey & Carmel. Bedrooms were comfortable and well stocked with linens, which we appreciated since it was cold in December! Home was very clean and cozy, and very nicely decorated. Spacious living room for our family of six adults. Easy rental process and lots of information about home & surrounding area provided. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!

The most cozy, comfortable home, something out of HGTV!

  • 5 of 5

Great location, a block from the beach, an easy access to both villages of Pacific Grove and Monterrey. This home is so charming. It is an older home, but has a modern feel and decorated beautifully, like you find on HGTV. Beds very comfortable, linen and towels plush. You know the owners take pride in their home as they left great instructions, plus their are positive signs throughout the home which we found ourselves taking photos of. We did not use the backyard as it was too cool to sit on the patio chairs/table, but went on long walks along the beach. Nor did we use the kitchen much except for a light breakfast; the owners have it stocked with coffee and tea which was a treat:) We will definitely stay here again!

Car: recommended

The Monterey Peninsula is unique in its combination of breathtaking natural resources and a multiplicity of cultural and entertainment possibilities. You can find something for every possible taste. For nature lovers, there is the diversity of mountain and sea, for picnicking, surfing, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, beachcombing, bird-watching, kayaking, scuba diving, tidepooling, biking and more. If you want a man-made excitement, we have art galleries galore, excellent fine-art museums, local theater, outstanding restaurants, boutiques, a natural history and a children's museum, a world-class aquarium, and that's just for starters. History buffs will have a field day exploring the adobes of Monterey. There's so much to do that you cannot possibly do it all in one visit, which means you will have to come back.

Other Activities: Whale, dolphin and sea otter watching.
