We had a wonderful time in the Crescent Beach area. This unit had spectacular views of both the ocean and the intercoastal waterway. The only issue was that we wanted a unit that slept 6 and this one stated that it could. The pull out sofa was so bad that no one could possibly sleep on it. We ended up having to sleep 1 on the couch and had to sleep 3 in one bed. This unit should not have been listed as a 6 person unit.
This is one LARGE condo, I think 2 units were combined to make it, PLENTY of space, 2 real bedrooms away from the kitchen and living area, it was perfect to close the bedroom door to rest while others can use the kitchen and living room. Yes, there is a view of the ocean form both bedrooms and the living room. The space is used very very well. Kitchen is very spacious and away from everything- we really liked that all the kitchen activities stayed around the corner, while the living room always felt like a vacation. Absolutely enjoyed the washer/dryer in the condo, we used it many times, very convenient to have it in the room just like at home. The balcony is very large, we spent lots of time out on the balcony as well.
The condo was indeed well equipped- from kitchen dishes, pots/pans, laundry detergents to linens/towels/extra pillows. We did appreciate all the spices and ketchup/sauces in the fridge, great idea, because somethings you need just a dash of salt or a squeeze of mayo and you don't really want to buy the whole bottle from the store. The owners have extras which sometimes come in handy like birthday candles, flashlights, kids games, etc. I did read 2 book during the stay, the books are also in the condo. The views were amazing, we had 2 days of dense fog in the beginning of our stay and having the palm trees and blue pool was a nice view otherwise we would only see the white gaze.
Not a deal breaker but I would consider changing the carpet and living room furniture, seems a bit outdated. The only real problem we had is the shower head in the guest bathroom, it worked semi ok for a couple of days, but after that it barely let the water out. Your condo is so nice and I can see you put a lot of love and pride into it, please fix the shower head to make it perfect!
The property itself is ok, kind of far from the stores and pier but it depends what you are looking for on a vacation, this spot is perfect if you want a quite get away. I do wish the pool was heated, it is NOT. So swimming in winter is out of question. Hot tub would also be nice, there is not much to do at the beach during the cold months, hot tub could allow more enjoyment.
Overall we enjoyed the stay, Thank you for sharing your home with us.
The property met all of our needs and then some. The view from the balcony is beautiful and rhe balcony stretches across the length of the unit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
My husband and I enjoyed 6 nights in this great condo. The location was perfect for us...off the busy strip, but close enough to St. Augustine and restaurants, and close to parks and kayaking. Our 23-year old son joined us on Day 2. The condo was clean, well-equipped with beach chairs, towels, cooler, toys, etc. and plenty of toilet paper, soap, paper towels and kitchen necessities, and thoughtful extras. We only needed to buy food and bring personal toiletries Beds were very comfortable, large dining room table, view was great (even from beds) and pool and beach really were just steps away. Two elevators made access to condo easy. Rental was easy...all of the information we needed was sent to us in advance.
Some reviewers complain it is "dated"... that is part of the charm. We went for the view and beach access and were not disappointed. Property is well maintained...pool and patio area is clean. Beach access is easy...no splinters on plastic "wood" crossover, and beach is mostly hard packed, beautiful smooth sand, which is easier to walk on if you have mobility issues. Other guests in complex were friendly, and the owners checked in with us after we arrived.
This is our second visit here... I am 50 and my mother will be 87 shortly. The accommodations are perfect for us. I can work on-line from my room with a beautiful view and she can sit in her room or in the living room and watch the ocean. There isnt a bad view to be had. We also love having a view of the intracoastal... the sunsets are gorgeous. I love to run the beach and swim in the pool... you just couldnt ask for more. It is beachy and yet close enough for day trips into St Aug. We keep finding new things we want to do "next time". We really love the area and esp. this condo.
What a wonderful place to stay! We enjoyed the location and the condo very much. St. Augustine is a great location, not too busy, beautiful beach, friendly people. We liked that traffic wasn't too bad (like Orlando or Ft Myers Beach area); it was very easy and quick to get around. We have a 4 year old and he LOVED the Alligator Farm. We also went to Marineland, which was enjoyable but small and a quick trip since we didn't pay for any extra activities. Our only complaint was that the pool wasn't heated (not even a little) and was VERY cold to swim in for early April. We braved the cold water a few times during the week but it was exceptionally cold even with the warm, sunny weather. This of course is not the problem of the condo owner but for those seeking lots of pool time for spring break, it didn't happen. As for the condo, the rooms and the views were amazing. Accommodations were excellent - couldn't ask for anything more to be provided. There were even Legos for our little guy so he was thrilled to say the least. Great place and we highly recommend it!
This property is located on the quiet end of Crescent Beach, only 10 miles from historic St. Augustine, the nations oldest city. Daytona Beach is 35 miles south. Jacksonville International Airport is a 90 minute drive north. Area attractions include history and ghost tours, outlet mall shopping (2). Golfing and The World Golf Village Hall Of Fame. are a short drive from here. Surfing and fishing are only steps away.
