Welcome to our clean ,spacious Cape Cod built in 2006. With the charm of a mountain cabin interior, your family of 4-5 will enjoy the 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The great room couch comfortably sleeps the fifth person. Breakfast is perfect on the large screened in back porch, where coffee pot, toaster oven, and table-top propane grill make a picnic out of any meal. Rock away on the wrap around front porch as the sun descends over the trees or snuggle in front of one of the 2 fireplaces. The attached 1 and 1/2 car garage has a ramp allowing easy transference of suitcases into the house. Located on a mostly tree filled acre, the house is 1 and 1/2 stories with a large loft bedroom and full bath upstairs. You will love the privacy of being far enough from the street and neighbors to leave the curtains open but only 1 and 1/2 miles, off 903, from the historic district. We are ideally situated in an established year round community, perfect for a romantic weekend or a safe, quiet family stay, away from the vacationing party crowd.
Place is tucked away in the mountains, but close drive to the city of Jim Thorpe. It was spotless clean and had a great outside deck to hang out. The owner was very nice and helpful with our stay. Would definitely recommend this place, Thanks again
The house was absolutely charming, along with being exceptionally clean and neat. The surrounding area is very picturesque. The biking in the Lehigh Gorge is fantastic.
What a great house! Everything about our stay was terrific, and we had a fun-filled weekend. Trudy was so thoughtful, and there was more than enough room.

My boyfriend and I drove up from to Philly to Jim Thorpe for the weekend and stayed in Trudy's house. The location was great, very quiet street but only 2 miles from the downtown area. The house was incredibly clean, well stocked with books and board games that we played in front of the fire. The front porch and back deck were great for enjoying our morning coffee. The kitchen was also well-stocked with all the necessities, spices, etc. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone else looking for something in the area.
We just love staying here! Trudy is so accommodating and helpful. The cabin is nestled in the trees just outside of Jim Thorpe. Whether its relaxing on one of the wonderful porches or doing some of the many activities in the area, it always ends up being the perfect get away!
It is very clean, and that is a huge compliment coming from a clean freak like me. I never have to worry about it like I do when staying at a hotel.
I highly recommend this vacation home if you're coming to the Jim Thorpe area.
Just a note for all my fellow Celiacs: There is a great GF restaurant in Jim Thorpe called Stone Row Pub and Eatery. They have a TOTALLY GF kitchen and the food was wonderful! So you can stay at this wonderful home and safely go out to eat all at the same time!

Well let me start to saying that the place is neat and you got everything you need besides the groceries but trudy was very helpful and very nice we definitely will be back thank you trudy for everything.

Due to the high cost of heating oil, a meter has been attached to the oil tank. Any EXCESSIVE use of heating oil or propane will result in an appropriate amount being deducted from the damage deposit. Normal winter usage, keeping the heat at or below 72 and the doors and windows closed, will not cause renters to loose their deposit. Weather conditions will be taken into account.
Maximum occupancy is 5. I have a well and sand mound septic. They were built to accommodate 5 people. Large parties are not only inappropriate for this quiet country setting but cause problems with the functioning of the well and septic. Any overnight guests (all those present after 10 PM) beyond the 5 person maximum limit will be considered unauthorized and the full amount of your damage deposit will be withheld to pay for the extra cleaning and long term wear on well and septic. Large parties held on the property of over 10 people and extending beyond 10 PM will be cause for immediate eviction with no refund of your payment.
