Spent 2 nights in this great apartment with husband, daughter and her fiance, my sister and my mom. Plenty of room for everyone--spacious, well appointed, comfortable, fun & eclectic furnishings, great location. Having 2 bathrooms was great. Master bath is huge. Fun balcony in the back off the master bedroom. Easy walk to subway. Really nice to have a working kitchen for breakfast and snacks, even brought in pizza one night after a very long day of sightseeing and walking. Lots of food places in the neighborhood to get morning coffee and bagels, etc., as well as lots of restaurants.
And there is a washer and dryer!
Apartment is on the 3rd floor--no elevator; somewhat narrow staircase. We had no problems. Note to access master bathroom, you must enter master bedroom.
Would definitely stay here again!
My family of 5 just returned from our very first trip to NYC. From the beginning the management of this property was prompt and courteous with their communication. The beautiful apartment was nicely maintained, clean and exactly as described. No surprises. So much space! We felt like we got a real New York experience staying in this walk-up apartment, right in the middle of a real NY neighborhood. Subway was just a few blocks away- this was our only mode of transportation. CVS and other small markets and delis nearby for stocking up on drinks and snacks. Lovely restaurants nearby-we adored Penelope's for breakfast.
Our flight was canceled at the last minute and we had to scramble to find a way into NYC. We finally got there but it was late! Management stayed in contact with us throughout the ordeal and could not have been nicer. They had someone meet us with a key when we finally arrived-after 11 pm!
We are already planning our next trip to NYC and will definitely stay here again!
Had a great time in this clean well located apartment. It is as advertised. Front bedroom can be a little loud at times. Bedrooms are roomy. Well maintained.
This is a very large apartment, and it is very well maintained. You have all the space you want and no crumbling decay to deal with. The bedrooms are both enormous, and the MB ensuite is equally giant.
We found this apartment to be extremely well located. A fifteen minute walk from Madison Park, and a 2 minute walk from the subway (6 line). We didn't shop for food and do any cooking, but there was a D'Agostino and a couple other places nearby that would work--although, you'd be better off at the Union Sq. Whole Foods.
Check-in was fast and easy. Check-out was even faster and easier--we just left!
Noise...The master bedroom was quiet for NYC and what we expected. The front bedroom was noisy from traffic on Lex. Our kids didn't seem to notice though. It wasn't any different than you'd find in any other similarly positioned apt. in NY...
We've stayed in dozens of rental properties and this one is definitely one of the few worth returning to...
As an added bonus: We left a retainer behind and it was quickly found by the cleaning staff and mailed to us immediately.
We stayed in this apartment last weekend and were very pleased. The apartment was spacious, clean and modern. Bedroom and bathrooms were large. The location was great and close to the subway. I would definitely stay here again!!!
We stayed here for a week with six adults and one toddler. I would highly recommend staying here. It was VERY spacious, only 3 blocks away from two different subway stations, within walking distance to the Empire State Building, 5th Avenue and many resturants and a grocery store. There were two seperate bedrooms and bathrooms which were both very spacious. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The only bad thing about this apartment was the bathroom which was very cold because it had a large window in the shower (frosted over of course). There happened to be a blizzard while we were there so outside it was only about 9 degrees which made the shower area cold. Also, we couldn't get the water in the shower to get hot. After a few days we figured out that if we ran the cold water in the sink then the shower heated up.
The staff was very nice and extremely helpful when we arrived and we had no problems. It also seemed very secure because there was a gate to get into the entrance to our door and then you also had to have a key to get into the actual building.
The only other downside is that if you have a hard time climbing stairs this would a very difficult place for you to stay. There were A LOT of stairs to get to our room. We were all fine with it but it might be hard if you were not used to climbing stairs.
