About Carole Musaracchia & Beverly Balbirsingh
Hi! We are Beverly and Carole, who are the owners at 823. We live on the first and second floors of our home. We welcome you to a comfortable stay in our studio apartment
Carole Musaracchia & Beverly Balbirsingh purchased this Studio in 2005
Why Carole Musaracchia & Beverly Balbirsingh chose Bedford-Stuyvesant
Our home is situated in an up and coming section of Bed Sty. It is a 10 minute car drive to both the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. We enjoy the conveniences to activities in and around Brooklyn and Manhattan. We like the vibe of the neighborhood and the diverse population.
What makes this Studio unique
We fell in love with this house because of the backyard space. We created a private space in our back yard to enjoy when we need to unwind. It makes us feel like we are in the country in the city. We like to entertain and having friends and family over to enjoy the space with us.

Spotlessly clean, just like home !
Everything well thought out, spacious and very adequate, super comfy beds. Words can't express how happy you'll be with this place. Much cleaner, inviting and spacious than any manhattan hotel. And a great price too !!
Oh thank you Sabrina
Those were very kind words! We DO like to keep the place clean and tidy for our guests.
Thank you for booking with us!
Great place! Perfect for what I needed for my short stay! Comfortable and clean and close to things!
Thanks for booking with us!
Great stay in NY, I would definitely stay in the same place again!
We had a great stay in this studio. The owners were very receptive and helpful the entire time. The location is great, close to bus and subway, and there are many restaurants in the area as well. The studio is very comfortable and had everything that we needed. Overall, we really enjoyed the place and would definitely stay there again!
Hi Roberta, you are welcome to stay any time! The neighborhood has gotten some nice new restaurants. Aside from our regular great Chinese food take out on our corner, we also have a new Brazillian place and a Venezuelan restaurant right around the corner. The new small groceries stay open even later (2am!) than our big grocery, and they carry organic food and cooked food as well. So there are a lot of choices and if you get hungry after midnight, you can always grab a snack!
Being at this air bnb is the best part of our trip. Carole and Beverly truly went above and beyond to make our stay feel like home. From the decor to providing us insight on places to see and how to get there were definitely appreciated. Location was perfect for us and walking distance to grocery store and other locations. Will definitely be returning back to NYC staying at this location.
Thank you so much Gwen. It was a pleasure hosting you! Bev loves to tell people about our city and what is around. I think she gets so excited that she will get on the train with you! LOL. There is so much to see and do in NYC. For our future guests, remember to bring comfortable walking shoes. This is a big city and there is lots of walking because a lot of the sites are close to each other, within walking distance. You can probably spend a whole day walking through the Metropolitan museum alone! We love it here and we hope our guests do too!
Great place to stay!
Carol and Beverly were very welcoming and helpful with questions. This is a very nice place to stay and very convenient. We used the grocery store down the street and grabbed the bus to take us to the DeKaulb subway station that took us into Manhattan. You could not ask for a better place for the price. We appreciated everything Carol and Beverly did to help us with our stay!
Thanks Tracy! Getting around town from here is so simple. Some folks like to take the G train or the M train into Manhattan. But we always recommend the B38 bus on our corner to the Train at Flatbush avenue and DeKalb. For us, it is the fastest, most direct route. Also on the bus, you can see what other people are doing and where they are going to eat. There are many restaurants on DeKalb Avenue as you get closer to the train station. Also you pass our lovely Fort Greene park where they have a big Farmers Market on Saturdays. Its like the scenic route but more direct to the city.
We are located in Brooklyn in historic Bedford Stuyvesant. Our home is right on DeKalb Avenue just steps away from the B38 bus to Downtown Brooklyn. It's a ten minute bus ride to a strip of fantastic restaurants, Fort Greene Park, the Barclay Center, home of the Brooklyn Nets and the venue for concerts and BAM. Take a stroll through Pratt Institute's Sculpture Garden which is only 7 minutes away by bus. Have a slice of Juniors famous cheesecake only 15 minutes away by bus, before you connect to the B,Q, N or R train to New York City right on the corner of Juniors. Stroll through the mall near Barclay Center where you will find stores such as Target, Marshalls, Uniqlo and DSW. Or explore the newly reorganized and rapidly changing Fulton Mall near Juniors in which you will find Macys, Aeropostale, Aldo, American Apparel, Armani Exchange, Banana Republic,Brooklyn Industries to name a few. We are very close to the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, beautiful Brooklyn Bridge Park where you will find the most spectacular views of NYC between 2 bridges. Brooklyn Bridge Park offers free outdoor movies in the summer with the NYC skyline as a backdrop, Beach Volleyball courts, Kayaking, Ping Pong, Bocce, Basketball,Rollerskating Rink
and the famous Janes Carousel where, for 2 dollars, young or old, you will enjoy this. There are fun parks within the park for children and a scenic bike path. Food festivals are a regular attraction at this park. Citibikes are available a few blocks from us, where you can rent a bike and use the bike lanes made available, we will supply maps. Prospect Park is also nearby Grand Army Plaza and the Brooklyn Public Library and the Brooklyn Museum and the Zoo. A large green market takes place during the summer at the edge of Prospect Park and also every Saturday at Fort Greene Park. Many farmers from upstate New York attend these markets as well as every Wednesday near Union Square Manhattan, a short ride on the Q train.
There are a number of public parks and a public pool (Kosciuszko Pool) which is 3 blocks from our house. There is so much to do in Brooklyn, so many restaurants and bars near our home and in the nearby Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. We are centrally located and a very easy commute to all attractions.
You will have a great time and we will help you navigate your way around town. We are gay friendly and straight friendly. Families with children welcome!
