About The Owner

We travel extensively and our experiences with HomeAway have been so pleasurable, we have decided to become hosts ourselves. Our location has so many wonderful things to offer, we are sure you will be eager to return!

Why The Owner chose Rhode Island Coastal

The house is located in Gaspee Plateau within walking distance to picturesque Narragansett Bay and quaint Historic Pawtuxet Village. The Village boasts marinas with a bridge crossing over the Pawtuxet River, where you'll often find children and adults fishing. Pawtuxet Cove Kayak and Canoe provides equipment and guided tours of the cove and bay. During summer months there are free concerts at the gazebo in the park. May thru November on Saturdays visit the Farmers Market. The area is filled with a variety of restaurants, coffee shops and ice cream shops.

The renaissance city of Providence, also know as the 'Creative Capital' is only 10 min away. It is a city filled with culture, a thriving arts community, vibrant and diverse neighborhoods and a renowned restaurant scene. The Water Fire event is not to be missed, for a schedule visit the website.

exceeded my expectations!

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I were visiting rhode island all the way from nevada, as we are planning on moving there next year for school. We both had the most fabulous time staying at her place in warwick. She thought of every possible detail- provided us with clean towels, shower/toiletry items, coffee/teas, fridge/toaster oven/microwave, netflix/cable, and we even had our own private patio area. Everything was beautifully decorated and comfortable. She made us chocolate banana bread which was absolutely delicious. She was very nice and even provided us with maps and brochures of the area. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a nice, peaceful, and comfortable stay in warwick.

Cozy and Immaculate Respite

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I thought this apartment was perfect for our girl's getaway trip to New England. Just so happened that we arrived during a cold spell but the apartment was very cute, warm, cozy and wonderfully comfortable. Chris greeted us upon our arrival and she was just one of the sweetest person's you could ever meet. We got to the apartment a little late in the evening but were very pleasantly surprised the next morning to see the beautiful neighborhood. Chris has a great little patio set up at the back of the apartment we would have loved to relax in had the weather been warmer. At her suggestion, we ate dinner in the nearby village and had wonderful meals of pizza, pasta and wine. I would love to get back to this area again with my husband and will definitely keep this gem of a place at the top of my list. ~ Chrystal, it was such a pleasure to meet you! Thank you for having us and for welcoming us so warmly as your guests. Oh and thank you for the scrumptious bread you baked for us to enjoy. You have a great eye for decorating and I took home a couple of ideas from your apartment!

Exceptional

  • 4 of 5

This was our second use of Home Away from Home. 10 Minutes before arrival, Chrystal said to text her so she could leave work, meet us and let us in. Upon arrival Chrystal was waiting for us - yard immaculate, home lovely and Chrystal was a blessing. We didn't know the area nor have any "plans", yet we brought our bikes and enthusiasm for what the weekend held. Well, Chrystal was a wealth of knowledge and timing had it that we were able to enjoy the Waterfire show in Providence! In addition there is a little village nearby, which hosted a craft/art show all weekend, and contained outdoor restaurants! Lovely! Can't forget to mention her knowledge, as well as her parents, which we had the chance to meet!, a bike path in Providence, East Bay Bike Path, starting at High Point Park, just awesome.

Now, the inside, first and foremost, the beds... Very comfortable and luxurious sheets, felt like heaven to me! The outdoor living space she created was just what I/we needed, an inspiration to create my own! And not to forget to mention there was this little tool provided in the shower, think it's called a "squeegee" which I thought was pretty cool! The place had everything you needed and it was especially nice not to pack all the towels/linens/bedding... And the price was terrific! So, yes I totally recommend this place and the High Speed Ferry to Martha's Vineyard is not far away either! Clean, lovely neighborhood! ENJOY - oh ya, there was fresh fruit, a homemade chocolate chip banana bread and Half and Half all provided for us!!! Very thoughtful! :) Thanks again, Alison & Michaela XOXO.

Loved it

  • 5 of 5

Loved our stay here. The apartment was lovely, warm, homey, cozy and comfortable. The neighborhood is beautiful, we took a walk around to admire the surrounding homes. The central location worked well, we were able to get to destinations easily including Providence, some fantastic wineries and historic towns. The purpose of our trip was lobster and wine, accomplished both easily. Chris met us on our arrival to give a tour of the space and answer questions. Since the apartment is attached to their house we always felt confident that any concerns would be addressed quickly. Luckily there weren't any. Can't speak to the TV, never turned it on, too many other things to do instead. There is a large box of brochures and maps in the apartment to give ideas if needed. We had some fun times at local farmers markets, they were just getting started for the season, but we found some local items to bring home, plus it was great to talk with the merchants. Overall would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely apartment.

  • 5 of 5

This was one of the nicest rentals we have experienced. We were met by Chris who was wonderful. She has taken great care to make the apartment comfortable and welcoming. We really appreaciated the little extras including fresh fruit, banana chocolate chip bread and the scented oils in the bathroom. We would definately stay here again.
