Point Pleasant Resort manages our villa for us. Resort managed villas provide the best Point Pleasant vacation value and service. Most resort services are exclusively for guests and owners on the resort’s hotel plan. The resort provides their guests with complimentary services such as on-site and off-site transportation, daily beach towels, arrival rum punch, complimentary gym use and daytime turn down service on request. The off-site transportation they provide saves the expense of renting a car, high cost of gas and the hassle of driving on our island roads! Resort guests also enjoy complimentary use of snorkel gear, kayaks, zayaks, pedal boats and paddle boards. The lobby staff that provides concierge and excursion services does so exclusively for resort guests. Not all villas inside the Point Pleasant community meet the standards of Point Pleasant Resort. The resort’s staff is also on site 24/7 for your comfort and security.

This hillside resort on the eastern end of beautiful St. Thomas boasts amazing ocean views and values for your next Caribbean adventure. Point Pleasant Resort has been offering memorable experiences to guests for over 40 years and includes 3 pools, our own small but private beach, a spa and fitness center, all while being conveniently located to the area's multiple water and land-based activities and attractions.
St. Thomas features many wonderful restaurants within an easy drive or taxi ride. If you prefer al fresco dining on your terrace overlooking more than a dozen Caribbean islands, rest assured the kitchen is well supplied and grocery delivery is available. We know you will appreciate the value of having a kitchen versus staying in a hotel room just like we do.
Point Pleasant Resort is located on the east end of St. Thomas just five minutes from Red Hook, home to the ferry boats to neighboring islands and the best nightlife and restaurants on the island. Just one mile away is the number one tourist attraction and best snorkeling beach on St. Thomas: Coral World and Coki Beach. One mile in the other direction is beautiful and peaceful Lindquist Beach. Magens Bay and Little Magens Bay beaches are located just 5 miles away. Traveling to St. Thomas is easy. A U.S. Passport is not required unless venturing over to the British Virgin Islands by ferry. Point Pleasant Resort is located only 8 miles from the Cyril E. King Airport.

Great views, amenities, and staff. What more do you need for a fantastic vacation in St. Thomas?! No complaints here.
We made great friends during our visit to St. Thomas! The waiters, drivers and front desk staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. We weren't in our room much but we were very satisfied with the mattress and cleanliness. 5 stars for sure!!
We very much enjoyed our stay at this villa. I read the previous review and it made me chuckle. Ask the front desk what the price of a gallon of water is in St. Thomas. You'll figure out why no owner is going to encourage long showers! ;-)
But this villa was lovely. The view is fantastic and we enjoyed hanging out at Shoreline Bar & Grill, the resort's restaurant. Great time and great rum punch!
We stayed at Point Pleasant in 2012 and have been back each year. They are updating all of the units and D31 was awesome! convection oven/microwave; french door fridge; new flooring, bed, deck furniture - really, really great value for the price. The resort is great - 3 pools but I think the best one is the top pool with excellent views. They've added or partnered with some other businesses so there are excursions that leave right from PP. And the rates (July off season) are extremely reasonable - I can barely go the local beach here for the same price! We didn't get a chance to check out the Spa (another newer addition at the resort) - but they offer everything.
We went to Shoreline (restaurant located on the property) for breakfast each day and a few times for dinner. Not a huge menu (but it's a smaller restaurant catering to the resort) but everything was really good and there was enough variety that i think everyone could find something they like and change it up from night to night . I saw a review that the prices were high at Shoreline, but I've been to many restaurants on the island and i think it is very reasonable (but, yes more than here - Maryland). You can also avoid that with the full kitchen (there's a full grocery store near the resort in Tutu Park; just ask them and they will know.)
The resort provides transportation to local beaches but i like to rent a car. If you're not familiar with St. Thomas or St. John, it's very hilly so if you walk around the resort (depending on what unit you stay in) you will get a good workout! (That's ok - work off some of the painkillers you drink at Shoreline ;) I prefer the "D" units that are at the top but i also stayed in the lower units once.
I want to keep this place a secret but everyone asks me why I love St. Thomas so much. Its affordable, beautiful - crystal clear water and soft sand beaches and I can't wait to go back - and yes, we will be staying at PP again!
We have been to St. Thomas several times so this review should be helpful to newbies. While the condo itself was a clean condo and well up-kept it has a few drawbacks. I will start with the positives. The view is very nice. My wife and I spent every night on the deck watching the lights on St. John and the boats on the moon lit water. The shower is decent sized (big enough for two) and the overall layout is nice. OK, now on to the downsides...
I mentioned that the shower is big enough for two. That is because it has to be. The only way both of us could have more than a 4 minute shower with marginally warm water was to be in it together. This would mostly be due to the fact that the water heater is a whopping 6 gallons under the kitchen sink. The owners should really think about investing in an "on demand" water heater. They are fantastic for conserving energy and still giving you nice warm water.
The other major issue that I have would be the chairs on the deck. They are ok but they obviously didn't really sit in them before they bought them. They put your viewing eye level right at the top rail of the deck. I really puts a cramp in your view. You either have to stretch your neck way up or slouch way down in the chair to be able to see anything. When you slouch way down it's like you are looking through a jail cell.
Some of the other issues are a bit smaller but still issues. First, the comforter shown on the bed is not the one you get. Not that thats huge but the one that was on the bed was more like a "hotel" one and not very comfortable to sleep under. The kitchen is not very well stocked at all with every day items. If anyone was planning to bring a decent family of 4 here it would be a stretch to go to the grocery store and get food and then have enough dishes, plates and silverware to feed them. There also is no oven, just a stove top. While this may seem like no big deal because you are on an island, think frozen pizza!!! Who wouldn't want a good frozen pizza once in a while while sitting on the deck at 11 pm watching the water.
As for the other few things, while this place does have a fold out murphy bed, it is located right by the front door. That means when you fold the bed down to use it it completely blocks the front door from being opened even 2 inches. In case of a fire, you have to use the patio doors.
As I have run out of characters to leave more info I guess I am done!
Our experience was a "5"! A beautiful resort, and very accommodating staff. Thanks so much for making our stay so enjoyable. We'll definitely pop on Trip Advisor and recommend the resort as well as the spa services and Panga restaurant.
Thanks again and we hope to be back soon!
