Canyon Corridor Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Den, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

NOTE: A 30-day minimum stay is required throughout the year, with a 3-month minimum for winter guests. My beautiful Palm Springs residence is currently available for rent in 2016 from May through Sep ($2,150/mo) and from Oct through Dec ($2,800/mo).

Check out a video tour of the residence:

Enjoy classic South Palm Springs living in this mid-century architectural gem designed by Palmer and Kreisel in highly desirable Canyon View Estates. A comfortable, carefree, and captivating experience awaits you in this expansive, 1,750 square-foot residence that feels more like a home than a condo. A high, clerestory ceiling with 4 large windows drenches the large living/dining area in light, and the mountain views are spectacular. Relax on the huge private patio with a drink and your loved one while watching stunning sunsets on nearby mountains, plus gorgeous sunrises. Enjoy the hardly-used pool and large spa just off the patio, surrounded by a green belt filled with palm and citrus trees. As an end-unit with a private driveway and enclosed garage, you’ll have more privacy than most homes nearby. Everyone loves this place! (Our complex was featured in a beautiful 8-page spread in the July 2013 Palm Springs Life Mag!)

You’ll rest well in the large master bedroom (with private bathroom) and guest bedroom offering sleeping for 4 on queen beds. A den/office doubles as a third bedroom when needed. Home includes Internet and two new flat-screen TVs with cable and DVD players. A complete kitchen has modern, upscale appliances and stone flooring in the kitchen, bathrooms, and entryway—and upscale marble countertops—add classiness. Rejuvenate yourself on a high-end leather sectional couch and comfy leather club chairs.

Relax and unwind in this, tranquil, beautiful paradise 10 minutes from PS Intl Airport, minutes from downtown, close to golf courses & horse stables, and 1 block from mountain hiking trails. Near Smoketree shopping complex offers stores & popular Koffi coffeehouse; Desert Regional Medical Center is close by if needed. Wi-fi Internet & complimentary long distance phone service -- Canada too -- included. Dogs allowed with $125 pet cleaning deposit (for extra soiling situations).

About Lew G.

As a photographer specializing in outdoor photography, I love all the beauty Palm Springs and the desert/mountains have to offer. There are many beautiful sights and vistas nearby my residence, and I love photographing the area and spending time outdoors. The mountains are just steps from the front door.

Lew G. purchased this condo in 2011

Why Lew G. chose Palm Springs

I purchased this property due to the ideal location in South Palm Springs, where you're nestled away in a corner of the city, it's quiet, the people are real friendly, and the views are terrific. What appeals most to me are the gorgeous mountain views right outside the front glass door and from the large patio in the back of the residence. I love walking out the front door and starting on a mountain hiking trail a block away. What a great way to start the day!

What makes this condo unique

The best aspects of the property include the beauty and peacefulness of the immediate area, the friendly people and the terrific views. It's a great place to relax and unwind -- Paradise in Palm Springs!

So Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

I could hardly tear myself away from this vacation rental at the end of my stay. The spacious, sunlit unit is part of a complex of mid-century modern attached homes whose style and functionality still shine after half a century. The unit is furnished with the sensibility of a designer and equipped with the thoughtfulness of a host who wants to provide maximum convenience and comfort for his guests. The kitchen was fully equipped, including two different types of coffee makers, coolers for picnics, all sorts of serving containers and dishware for entertaining, and even unexpected items like a juicer. The furniture throughout was stylish and comfortable.

As much as I liked the interior, I never wanted to go back indoors after I stepped onto the patio. The patio is slightly raised from the grounds below, and the views are idyllic. In one direction you see palm trees swaying in the foreground, citrus trees off to the side, and the San Jacinto mountains standing majestically in the background. If you look in the other direction, down across the grass lawn, you see the inviting pool and jacuzzi, surrounded by more palm trees. The patio is large, well furnished, and very private -- not connected to other patios like some of the units in the complex.

I enjoyed the quiet days in this neighborhood, but the amenities of Smoketree Commons and downtown Palm Springs were nearby when we wanted them. We could bicycle to Koffi for a latte in the morning, or to the grocery in the evening. We also took advantage of the local hiking guide provided by the owner. To give you an idea of how thoughtful he is, there is an extra copy of the guide in a three ring binder so you can remove pages to take on your hike. Now that’s good customer service!

A fabulous home!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from January through March! The home was exactly as described - and more - and we began to feel as though it was our home. The location is convenient to walking, hiking, shopping and downtown Palm Springs and the views are breathtaking, regardless of the time of day. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and relaxed. We brought our 11 pound Shih Tzu, and we were happy to find that it is a very dog-friendly community. We and our dog soon looked forward to daily walks and we became acquaintances with the many dog owners and who walked in the morning and early evening.

We enjoy cooking at home rather than eating out, and were pleased that the kitchen, as well as the rest of the home, was thoroughly stocked with any implements and furnishings that might be needed. It was evident that the property owner had thought through what would be convenient for short term as well as long term stays in his home. The home was comfortable and welcoming - a truly relaxing escape. Every day the patio beckoned us to enjoy the fresh air, tranquility, and views. The property owner gave us very detailed information about the home, contact information, local establishments, and areas of interest. He was also very responsive to our questions and requests and we always felt that his primary concern was the comfort and satisfaction of his tenants.

We are already looking forward to returning next year and would highly recommend this property to anyone considering a stay in Palm Springs.

Wonderful location and views

  • 5 of 5

I really enjoyed the location and views from this condo. It felt like I was living in real neighborhood of beautifully well kept homes all under the shadow of the San Jacinto mountains. Everything was as advertised and more. Clean, well maintained and fully stocked. I would highly recommend this rental. Thanks Lew.

Palm Springs Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Lew's desert mid-century home is fabulous : well-appointed, spacious, beautifully furnished. The neighborhood is gorgeous - 360 degree mountain views from the house, quiet and serene, terrific neighbors, lovely porch, greenbelt and swimming pool. The neighborhood is near Indian Canyon hiking trails and oasis. It is also just minutes to downtown. Lew is a very accommodating renter and provides tourist information about Palm Springs.

This is an excellent property to rent. We had a wonderful time and were sorry to leave this home. AAA+++ 100% positive experience.

So Relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first month long stay in Palm Springs and we loved it! Canyon View Estates is the place to be! So close to everything, downtown, lots of hikes, a great CrossFit gym, shopping etc...

Our home away from home was just perfect, it is totally stocked with everything you would ever need in the kitchen! It was very clean inside which is important to us, new counter tops, redone bathrooms, a huge master suite shower, and lovely glass works highlighting the whole place! It was nice to have an assortment of Palm Springs magazines for us to read and discover new places in and around the surrounding area. There were lots of brand new towels, and sheets. The den is nice and cozy to watch tv in at the end of a long day. The patio has the most amazing view of sunshine, palm trees, and mountains. We didn't hear a peek from any neighbours. The only issue we had was that the pool wasn't heated in March. We were lucky to have my Brother staying down the road at another condo and we became their quests and used their heated pool everyday. Otherwise all was perfect, so much better then the snow back home!! Thank-you Lew for everything! :)

Owner's Response: Was wonderful having you, Carleen, and Alan as my guests in March. Appreciate the lovely review. Indeed, I'm working on the pool heating issue with our HOA and I anticipate that it will be completely resolved by next winter. Thanks!
