Lucas is a photographer and printmaker who finds her primary inspiration in nature. Her formal training culminated with a BFA from The Cooper Union, in NYC and was supplemented by additional studies at Mason Gross School of the Arts, NJ and The School of Visual Arts, NYC. In recent years Yvette has explored new media and techniques, embracing various forms of printmaking, pastel and drawing. Her work as a photographer spans several decades, during which she has had extensive experience with traditional and custom darkroom printing. Combined with significant work in commercial and fine art digital prepress Yvette is an uncompromising technician when it comes to the quality and execution of her final prints
When focusing on particular scenes - trees, rocks, and bodies of water - Yvette aims to give the viewer a connection to the landscape which is specific, imbued with feeling and meaning, and that elicits each setting’s personality. Every image is named based both on the character of the place it depicts, and the effect of the environment on the subject. The series will continue to develop as Yvette often revisits these sites in order to see their evolution over the course of time, deepening her relationship with landscapes and allowing her to further refine her vision.

Great downtown location....
My family (my husband, 9 year old daughter and my parents) stayed here last October - the place was both cozy and modern - furnished with everything one would need to have a relaxing vacation whether you plan to cook at home or go out, sleep in or hang out in the living room. It was surprisingly quiet given that it was right in the center of town. We loved being able to walk out of the door and not use our car unless as long as we wanted to hang around Lenox. Andrew - the owner - was very responsive, helpful and easy to communicate with. We strongly recommend the apartment (as long as it does not conflict with our plans to stay there next time... :-). Recently we stayed at this apartment for a month. We loved the location and the ability to walk everywhere easily. The apartment has been stylishly renovated with light colors, new appliances and tasteful furnishings. There was beautiful artwork supplied by the local gallery which added to the overall effect of serenity and relaxation. The local restaurant choices are excellent - our favorite breakfast place was Haven and we also really enjoyed Alta and Nudel. Parking was simple and both the owner and property manager were easily accessible and responsive.
We look forward to a return stay and meanwhile recommend it highly.
This apartment was newly renovated. Everything in it is brand new. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to be right downtown and close the the galleries, shops and eateries. It was a pleasure dealing with the owner and we had a wonderful time. The apartment is a quick drive to Tanglewood and the Shakespearean Theater as well as to Monument Mountain, and a five minute walk to the Chabbad Shabbos minyan in Lenox and there are so many other interesting sites nearby. If it were possible, I would give this apartment and owner a ten star rating, but they only allow us to give a maximum of five !!!! We had one of our nicest vacations ever !!! Come to the Berkshires and stay in this apartment. I promise you will not be disappointed.
