A Room with a VIEW!!! An AMAZING VIEW!!!

  • 5 of 5

Don't even hesitate- book your stay NOW!! We stayed in 4 different properties while traveling around Cape Breton, and Kate's was the ABSOLUTE best, without a doubt. When you arrive, be prepared to be totally blown away by the view. Her photographs help you visualize what you will see, but trust me when I say it's a million times better in person! Kate has provided everything you might possibly need...and is quick to reply to your messages/questions/concerns. As someone fairly new to VRBO, I don't mind telling you I was a little freaked out putting my trust in an absolute stranger. Kate was so patient and kind with me, answering every message and phone call in a timely manner. The property is absolutely gorgeous, very well-maintained, and sparkling clean. We loved the sensation of being tucked away on the hill, and slept like babies during our entire stay (so nice and quiet!) When you arrive, Kate will either be there to greet you, or leave instructions for entering your apartment. Then you will find a little booklet welcoming you and outlining everything you will need to know during your stay (as a detail person, this warmed my heart and made me like Kate even more!!) From there you have the options of chatting with Kate (which we did, and loved) or keeping to yourself- either way you will be comfortable and well cared for! While in Port Hood, we went hunting for sea glass in Inverness Beach, about 30 minutes away. We also enjoyed a ceilidh lunch at the Celtic Interpretive Centre just up the road a bit. We didn't eat out very often, instead choosing to buy a few groceries at the local coop just 5 minutes away and using the kitchen of the apartment. We sincerely hope to return to Cape Breton, and when we do, we will be seeking out this property again! Thank you, Kate, for the marvelous conversations and fabulous accommodation! You have an absolute treasure, and we wish you every success. Sure hope to cross paths again!

Couldn't have been better!

  • 5 of 5

Where do I begin? From the spectacular view to the convenient location and the wonderful host, all of our expectations were met. Kate's apartment was perfect for us. It's spacious and well appointed. Kate makes herself available to provide anything you need to make your stay perfect. If you're looking for a true home away in Cape Breton don't hesitate to book Marble Hill Oasis. We'll be back for sure!

Thanks

Even better than we anticipated and the view spectacular.

Everything about Nance's place was perfect for our needs and Nance was fantastic to deal with. She even took the time to sit and visit with us and share a bit of the history of the area with us. We cannot say enough about the property or the owner other than we can't wait to come back again.

Perfect Getaway Retreat

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Kate's for six nights, and our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! The accommodations were stylish and clean, the location was private and beautiful, and Kate was the perfect hostess. It's well over a thousand mile drive from our home, but it was so right for us that we have already booked for next year...bringing our kayaks next time!

Breathtaking Views!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great, relaxing time at Kate's place on Marble Hill! The views were simply amazing; every morning we got to wake up and see Port Hood Island and sparkling ocean waters when we looked out the window or sat on the deck. Everything was great, can't wait to book our next trip back!

My parents and I had a great time staying at Kates vacation rental overlooking port hood island. The views are great, the atmosphere is very laid back.

The place was very roomy and very nicely decorated, you can see the pride Kate takes in her home. There was a detailed list of everything in the walk out so there were really no questions.

The location is close to grocery stores, the beach , and a quick drive to Mabou and Inverness.
