My family and I have been vacationing on Martha's Vineyard for the past 10 years. We have alway's rented. This home, by far, has met all the comforts of a vacation home. Very clean and well maintained. We were in close distance for fishing for my son, and going shopping and to the beach. It is in a quiet neighborhood. We look forward to renting again.
In 2011 we spent a fabulous week in this lovely home. Everything about the house was superb. It is spacious and inviting, and even though there were 6 of us, we managed to carve out our own spaces to relax, engage and just hang loose. The location, staging, cleanliness and neighborhood exceeded our expectations, and if that wasn't enough, the real estate agent stopped by Vineyard style to welcome us and provide her number just in case. It was a perfect week and we are going back next summer for more of the same!
Last but not least, the owner was a dream to work with. She was/is professional and welcoming at the same time, and it never really felt like we were conducting a business transaction. All of these things combined made the decision to return a no-brainer, and we can't wait for Part II. I gave this place 5-stars because it deserved it. And if you decide to stay here, you will absolutely not be disappointed!
Convenient and quiet location...easy walk to favorite coffee spot in town and to lagoon. House is well kept and nicely decorated. It's home away from home with all the amenities for a comfortable getaway. Spacious enough yet quite cozy. Will definitely stay here again!
I stayed in this house twice already and will do so again when in Martha’s Vineyards. Superb location in very quiet neighborhood and comfortable walk to Oak Bluffs. Plenty of parking space. Lagoon is two minutes walk. House is spacious, modern, clean, very comfortable, nicely decorated with all possible necessities.
Three adults enjoyed staying in this spacious and open home, in which everything was clean and all appliances worked well. The location is quiet, great for walking around the neighborhood with the lagoon nearby, and just a short hop in the car or on a bike to County Road to get to Edgartown or Oak Bluffs downtown easily, or alternatively to Vineyard Haven. There are steps upstairs to get to the bedrooms, but if steps are a problem, person(s) could stay on ground floor with decent sleeping accommodations. Plan to try and stay again when I return to MV in the future. Price is very reasonable given location and easy access to anywhere you want to go...
Visit Martha's Vinyard for the first time with friends last October and had a great time! The house was clean, and well-maintained; we were able purchase food from the local store and do some cooking ourselves. We were within walking distance from the towns' restuarants, shopping areas, & local activities. I definately would recommend this property to other friends or relatives.
PS. There is a couple on the island that makes the BEST HOMEADE PIES!!
Home steps from lagoon (clamming, scalloping, and fishing); One and half (1.5) miles from the center of Oak Bluffs (Beach/Shoreline, Camp Ground, Carrousel, Restaurants, Ferry, and more). Bike path and Bus Route.
