Good Stay - but Complicated
8 guys traveling for a bachelor party. We chose this location for its proximity to numerous golf courses and Disney's Wide World of Sports to take in a Braves Spring Training game. The property is in a great location to Disney, numerous restaurants, easy access to the interstate, was clean and had all the basic supplies needed to stay for 3 nights. Would stay at the property again, however we ran into numerous complications with our room. The room was booked, dates were set, 1st deposit paid when I received a call asking us to move rooms for 1 night to a 3 bedroom from a 4 bedroom. The owner of the condo apologized, offered to purchase an air mattress for the suite, and we obliged, we can get along 1 night in a different room. That's settled, then I started to get check in emails on how to check in to our rooms, room codes for entry, etc. Long story short our room assignments were changed 5 times before we got checked in (none of which were the original room we booked). Once we arrived on property we went to the room we were supposed to be in for the 1 night, and the door code didn't work. Called the front desk, they gave us a new code to get in, someone had already checked into that room and no one had notified us. This is no reflection on the owner of the condo, but on the property manager themselves. I'm not sure how often this happens, but I will be finding another place to stay next time I'm in Orlando due to the property managers. The condo itself was very nice.
Again, the owner of the condo was very nice and accommodating, the property managers still need to get their stuff together.
Vista Cay is Fabulous
We came to Vista Cay to experience Orlando and Universal. We spent time at the beautiful pool. Walked to the grocery store and a great burger joint. The condo was beautiful and slept all 9 of us! We will return!
Two words “totally awesome “
Suite very comfortable and spacious. The suite was clean and all the amenities were in working order as advertised. Overall 5 stars
Convenient location, lots of space, fully stocked kitchen, and on call property manager. Vista Cay is a great place to stay in Orlando. Located right behind International drive and close to all parks and dining. Our 4 Bedroom met the needs of our 7 family members for our 10 day stay. We arrived on Christmas Eve ... within an hour of our arrival we began to cook dinner and noticed that there were no oven mits or hot pads in the unit- we called the property manager and he arrived with a fresh pack of 4 along with 2 additional kitchen towels (Hello!!! It was Christmas Eve- he arrived in under 20 min). We also made a call about the refrigerator ice maker and water not working - again, we were contacted within minutes and an appt. was made for a repairman to come and fix the issue. 4 bedrooms, family room, full kitchen, full laundry room etc provided our group the space we needed.
Overall furnishings and amenities are great for the price. This is our 3rd time visiting Vista Cay. We are Orlando regulars and stay on Disney property every other year. After renting this 4 Bedroom unit this year, we are not planning on staying at Disney next year when we return. The cheapest Disney hotel during peak season is $200+ per night. A baseline Disney hotel room is less than 1/4 the size of this condo.
The only reason we gave this unit a 4 instead of a 5 is due to the fact that it’s time to touch up paint and install new flooring where there is carpet... overall a great unit with excellent privacy and very quiet/serene atmosphere. We would not hesitate to rent again. 😊
The Moton & Gibbons Family Thanksgiving Gathering
The condo was a very nice place to stay and we thought it was very comfortable.
There is one hazard that we had to fix which was the dining room table's rug curled at the end and presented a trip hazard so we rolled the rug up against the wall. There are unsecured wiring in the Master Bedroom closet and living room.
This should be fixed immediately.
Thank you for the use of your property.
Basic items missing, decor dated, but roomy and in a good location.
Great value in terms of location and sleeping capacity but this rental has room for improvement. There was not one spice, not even salt and pepper, in the kitchen. The pantry was void of anything to at least help the renter get through the first meal or two before hitting the grocery. Good news is, Publix is close by. There was probably a total of 6 towels in this rental, yet the max sleeping capacity is 12. Listing said dining had seating for 8, but ours had room for only 6. There was a double-booking issue on our first night so I had to ask for a refund. It sucked, although I get that it happens. However, the property manager didn't own up to the problem and basically lied to us. Not cool. The owner, Tom, was nice though, so I'm still giving this a 4-star despite the fiasco. Otherwise I'd give it a 3.
This is located just off Universal Blvd and the resort side entrance leads onto International Drive. The convention center is next door and the resort has pools, fitness center all within a gated community.
