Bruce and Matt purchased this condo in 2009
Bruce Purchased this wonderful condo in 2009 after spending years vacationing in Cape Cod, and more Specifically, Provincetown. Bruce and Matt enjoy the beauty of the cape during all seasons.
Bruce fell in love with this condo and all the charm and character it has. Dormer windows that let in tons of light, beautiful hardwood floors, and original windows dating back to the 1800s were just the details he was looking for.
We had the misfortune of booking another accommodation that was totally unsuitable and were fortunate enough to meet the caretaker of Matt's place which was nearby. We were able to move in on very short notice and the place was great.
All of the amenities we hoped for lots of space, lots of daylight, well equipped kitchen, good wifi, nice outdoor space with a grill and a flower garden made us very happy
This is the second year we've stayed here, and we love it! The yard is beautiful, the apartment very homey, dog friendly, sooooo close to Commercial St, but away from the noise. The owners are great to deal with! Super helpful and informative. Can't recommend it all enough!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this perfectly situated condo - so quiet, yet literally steps to the fun on Commercial Street. The owners were a pleasure to work with, especially Matt, who was always very prompt with answers to questions we may have had. The condo itself was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities needed to make the week we spent here unforgettable. Already looking to next year! If you are wanting a nice, quiet place in the middle of town, look no further!
We had a wonderful time. The location was perfect (a few steps to Commercial) and the apartment had everything we needed. We loved having some private outdoor space coming from a small apartment in NYC. Pets were allowed so we could travel with our puppy. It could have been a little cleaner, but Matt is addressing the issue with the cleaning crew. Perhaps it will be our new annual spot.
Bruce and Matt's home is in the ideal location to experience all that Provincetown has to offer. Just steps from Commercial Street and all of the action yet on a quiet side street that is peaceful and calm.
It's a charming place to come home to at the end of a fun-filled day. Our activities included...tennis, bike riding, going to the beach and pool, whale-watching, strolling and shopping, dancing, piano bar sing-alongs and eating some fantastic meals. We highly recommend JOON and THE RED INN and HEAVEN for breakfast. Bubala's by the Bay is right on the corner and is a great place for lunch and people-watching.
The main bedroom, where I was lucky enough to sleep, is wonderful. It's roomy with a very comfortable bed and lots of light. The second bedroom (as is much of the place) is a bit dark and small with a very low slanted ceiling and a low futon-style mattress. It's not ideal for a tall person though my friend who is 6'2" made it work and slept beautifully.
The kitchen is clean and well-equipped with the basics. The bathroom and shower are a bit small yet the water pressure (most-importantly to us) is terrific!
Our one disappointment was that the place is only equipped with basic cable. We couldn't get any of our favorite channels including MSNBC, CNN, ESPN or HGTV. Mostly, all we could watch was the local news. Perhaps Bruce and Matt would add more channels if you ask them (we never did) as they were a pleasure to work with. They always responded in a timely manner and were very kind and courteous.
We'd definitely stay there again.
Thanks, Bruce and Matt!
Top reasons to stay here:
1. Awesome location - a 30 second walk to great pizza, 2 good restaurants, an excellent wine shop, and a town landing beach. Also an easy walk to the Stop & Shop if you don't want to eat out all the time. Being 1/2 block off Commercial, I was afraid we would get a lot of street noise, but I was pleasantly surprised - after about 9 pm, all we heard was the occasional conversation from people walking by on Court St. Even that noise could only be heard from the main bedroom with the window open. Put on the a/c and you won't be bothered at all.
2. Charm - lots of local artwork on the walls, old-fashioned wide-board floors, fun books on the shelf, nice plantings...
3. Convenience - Matt was in touch just enough to make sure we had everything we needed. The house "amenities" (shower & bathroom, appliances, grill, a/c, etc.) worked fine. Owners provide bath towels (1 set per person) and sheets, so that's one less thing you need to pack. Having a parking space is a huge plus.
Overall - a great week!
