'Beaver Lodge' is luxury mountain retreat nestled among lush landscaping in a gated community with direct access to the New River.
Escape the heat this summer and come to the Blue Ridge. Breezes, temps just right for tubing down the New River. No mosquitoes and mild nights perfect for a fire. Lush and green, you'll love it here.
The spacious house is beautifully appointed with luxury furnishings, a large kitchen for cooking, a dining area perfect for groups, large flat screen televisions on both the main and lower levels and a Lord of the Rings pinball machine for some old school arcade fun. At night, you can listen to the peaceful sounds of the New River right from your bedroom.
On the Outside--
The house has a number of outdoor areas to enjoy. When you're not experiencing all that the Blue Ridge has to offer you'll be relaxing by the fire on the main covered deck, do some reading or dining on the screened porch, sit on the deck off the 'River room' bedroom or sit and hang out below off the lower living area.
The house has 4 bedrooms available with the addition of a loft sleeping area with an additional sleeper sofa. Front loading laundry machines are on the lower level.
Take a short stroll through the neighborhood and find more access to the river bank from meadows. Also available in the common area at the entrance to the neighborhood is a grill and a great place to drop a kayak in.

For our guests that are interested in staying with us in the Winter months-
***The HOA does plow the neighborhood roads. Please be aware that in winter in the event of snow only 4WD vehicles will be able to navigate the main road inside the gate and the driveways to the house. If there is any ice accumulation, the roads will be impassible. There is a cancellation policy, please make sure to read it carefully before booking in the Winter. We are prepared to make arrangements to have the driveway plowed, even so ice accumulation may make this extremely difficult***
Firewood is provided on site.
We are NC natives and what residents of the Blue Ridge would call 'flatlanders'. Our immediate and extended family retreat here to this house often throughout the year. We have made so many wonderful family memories here in this house.
Beaver Path purchased this house in 2008
We knew that we wanted to have a place to retreat to in the NC mountains and went on a search for that place years ago and discovered this property and developing neighborhood along the New. The choice was obvious when looking at the proximity to the third oldest river in the world.
The most unique benefit is certainly the access to the river and all the enjoyment and pleasure it offers. We also view the quiet strolls through our little sparsely populated neighborhood to be a benefit as well as exploring the banks of the river from the different meadows and points around the neighborhood. And although the house is situated in a quiet place in a rural area, a unique small mountain town is not far away in West Jefferson. Sometimes it seems as if time stopped in downtown West Jefferson.
Spent a week at this Gorgeous house, very warm with beautiful furnishings. The sound of the river from the outdoor living room is spectacular. The fireplace outside is a welcome feature on cold nights. Recommend very highly
Recently had the pleasure of staying at the this gorgeous house overlooking a river and nestled in a gated community, however the lots of privacy. The house is like something out of Architectural Digest and equipped with all excellent appliances and amenities necessary for a most pleasant stay. If you want a quiet, peaceful getaway for rest and relaxation this is the place to go.
Catch trout from the New River right in our backyard! Travel to nearby Boone and Blowing Rock, a 50 min drive from Beaver Lodge. Boone is a bustling mountain town home to the Appalachian State Mountaineers. Blowing Rock is a beautiful and quaint mountain town filled with antique and retail shops and great restaurants. Blowing Rock is also home to the famous Tweetsie Railroad attraction and some great outlet shopping. If you are a gardener or just enjoy plants one of our stops in Blowing Rock is the Mustard Seed Market.
