This is city living at its best, as is very typical of said apartments, the owner lives above. Hence, with hardwood floors - sound may travel to a degree :)

This is old meets new, exposed brick with everything newly renovated and beautifully furnished. Full kitchen with everything you need to either cook at home or walk to the fabulous restaurant scene close by!
This is a completely separate unit from the main part of the house. The garden at the rear isnt available for use. There is great WIFI and cable included.

We are in the heart of Capitol Hill ~ everything you need is at your fingertips here! Here are some of our local favorites we'd love to share with you;
Atlas District H st NE (15 min walk) H st has seen an amazing revival in the last few years and has turned into a real Mecca for food lovers in DC. A huge choice and you really can’t go too wrong whatever you decide. We love the Mussels at Granville Moors (1238 H St NE), and the Queen Vic Pub), Taylors sandwiches and salads are great too! (1116 H St NE).
Eastern Market (25 min walk) Eastern Market, Washington DC's original food & arts market. Located in the heart of the historic Capitol Hill neighborhood, Eastern Market is DC's destination for fresh food, community events, and on weekends it comes alive with local farm-fresh produce and handmade art and craft stalls. Eastern Market is located at 225 7th Street SE, (closed Mon) Also a great selection of restaurants on 8 St SE, (just off Pennsylvania) We love Ted’s Bulletin for breakfast, Belga café for brunch & dinner, Pacific for its roof deck, Matchbox for amazing pizza.
No need for a car, you can walk or metro to everything. (If you are bringing a car there is long term parking at Union station or we can offer other properties with parking, please ask!) Union station is very close (you can see it from the front door!) Amtrak runs overland trains from here (New York & Richmond) and Metro (Red line) connects to the whole city. You can also pick up metro buses and tour buses to see the city.
Check in at 4pm and check out is at 10.30am (later / earlier check in/out times by prior arrangement only)
Our family of 4 spent four nights here while in DC for a wedding. Positives: very easy access to the metro at Union Station. Plenty of space for us to spread out. Everything we needed was already in the apartment. The only negative we had was that you could hear every step the upstairs occupants took, even the dog racing about the house.
Overall we would recommend and we would stay here again if we were back in the area!
We absolutely loved our stay at Lara's F St. rental. The location was perfect. Just a 5 minute walk up to Union Station. We could catch the Metro, Amtrak, or the Circulator to anywhere we wanted to go. The rental was clean, well stocked, and comfortable. They have a washer/dryer, but it was difficult to dry our clothes. The beds were very comfortable and it was wonderful to have air conditioning. We were able to get some groceries at the market on 3rd. We also enjoyed delicious pizza and beer at Armand's. I would definitely recommend this rental. We are a family of 4, boy and girl. It was nice that they could have their separate sleeping space. Thanks for a memorable experience!
The apartment is very convenient to Union Station and is located in a safe area. It is perfect for traveling with children. Grocery store and restaurants in walking distance. Would stay here again if traveling with kids.
Loved this place! Great location, extremely comfortable queen bed, top quality linens and pillows, and did I mention the great location? We walked everywhere we went. Very safe and friendly neighborhood. Others have mentioned noise from above but we really didn't have much of a problem. We occasionally heard footsteps and the dog running around but it was normal noise and never late at night or early morning. There are white noise machines in both bedrooms. If we were ever to visit DC again, we for sure would stay here again!
I can not imagine a better location than this apartment. It is within 300 feet of Union Station without having to cross any major streets. We were traveling with three small children and it was an ease to walk to the apartment with our luggage from Union Station. The property met our needs perfectly. It was very clean and the management is very responsive to questions and needs. It is walking distance to the US Capitol and a $10/10 minute Uber ride to the Jefferson Memorial at the other end of the Mall.
The location can't be beat! Toscano's is a great spot for wine and pasta and the Union Grocery has meal basics, some nice wines, great coffee and scandalous breakfast sandwiches. The apartment itself is cozy and definitely meets my three basic criteria for bright, clean bathroom; comfortable, clean beds; and a coffee maker! Plenty of sheets, towels and pillows and a nicely stocked kitchen. And, while it is a garden apartment, it's bright and cheery. We briefly met our hosts who were helpful and delightful. We would definitely stay here again.
The Apartment is a 10 minute walk to the Nations Capitol and 5 minute walk to Union Station, also only a 10 minute walk to the popular 'H' street neighborhood well renowned for it's restaurants and bars.
