What great hosts with great communication, and a wonderful cabin.
This was our first stop on our honeymoon in Colorado, and it certainly set the bar high! The cabin is perfect, you have post card views from every window in the town. It's a short drive from Buena Vista which is a really cool town, with some good places to eat. Everything was extremely clean, tidy, and organized. The wood stove was awesome, I was very surprised by how warm it kept the cabin on windy and snowy nights (they do have central heat as well). Really the only thing better than the cabin itself, were the owners. They were the most HELPFUL and Accomodating rental property owners I have ever dealt with. They literally thought of everything. For folks not familiar with the area, they have a binder full of information for you. While they were very helpful they were NOT over bearing over their beautiful home. They made it clear it was ours for the weekend, and gave us our privacy. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. We will be back!
This cabin is the quintessential Colorado escape. It has a peaceful and secluded feel but with the modern amenities of home. My wife and I visited the first weekend in October and had the most amazing time. The location is perfect for hiking, shopping, or visiting other towns. We visited Breckenridge for a day of shopping. Another day was spent driving over Independence pass to Aspen Colorado. With the leaves changing and stunning views, it was the most astonishingly beautiful drive of my life. If you are looking for a getaway spot that lets you choose peaceful relaxation, adventure or any combination of the two, this is the spot. We absolutely loved our stay and will return time and again.
This was my family's first trip to Colorado, and we cannot wait to go back! The views were magnificent from the cabin, which was so cozy and had everything we could possibly need! My son forgot his toothbrush, and low and behold, there were several on hand! We had so much fun exploring the area, and it was extremely helpful to read the information Carol and Matt provided as well as what previous guests had written in the journal. Carol and Matt made our stay so welcoming and comfortable -- you can tell how much they love the cabin and are so excited to share it with those of us lucky enough to stay there. Their goal is to ensure everyone who stays has a memorable experience......and you will! I have already recommended their cabin to several friends!
The cabin was clean, cozy, and well stocked. It had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable. The owners were very kind and accommodating. The views were spectacular. We would definitely recommend staying here. You won't regret it.
We had a great time at the cabin. Beautiful views in all directions as the cabin sits atop a hill. The cabin was close to Mt. Princeton hot springs and we visited those one day. What a treat! The owners do a great job of checkin in to make sure you have everything you need. We highly recommend renting this cabin. It provided a very relaxing weekend getaway.
