Best vacation we have taken in thirty years.
The views from the cabin were awesome; the cabin had everything you could think of if needed, and the peace and quiet is unmatched
The owners made contact to make sure everything was alright. There is whitewater rafting, horseback riding hiking, fishing and Buena Vista that are all very close by, we definitely will be going back! This was a can’t ever replace time had by our family!
We come to the Buena Vista area occasionally for short vacations that involve day hikes on the various Collegiate Peak trails. Staying at this house provided easy access to many trails and the town of BV. The House has great scenic views from every window and is very comfortable (with lots of sunlight). It is well maintained and clean with all of the basics and Matt was an excellent source of information and extremely helpful. We will definitely stay here again!
We were a little nervous and not really sure what to expect as not only was this our first trip to Colorado, it was the first time we opted to stay in a cabin instead of a hotel. First of all, the pictures do not fully capture how cozy and wonderful the cabin is or how breathtaking the views really are. The location is great. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed. The owners were also great! They were thoughtful enough to leave helpful tips around the cabin, which really came in handy. They were very understanding when I texted about opening a window and the strong breeze knocking over a lamp, breaking it. When I contacted Matt about running a little late getting out on our last day, again, he was very understanding! Even if the cabin or the views hadn't been as great as they were, we would stay there again based on how great the owners were! Coming back for sure next July!
The descriptions and pictures are all perfectly accurate! The views were spectacular, the cabin was cozy and well-stocked, and anything that we wanted to do during the days was well within driving distance! The owners have thought of everything, and if there is any questions, they are available to help which was very comforting!
We enjoyed fishing, hiking, and exploring Buena Vista while we were in Colorado. We will definitely be staying here again if we come back to the Buena Vista area :)
Beautifully located with stunning views. The house was very cleaned and well maintained grounds. The house is furnished with anything you would need for a great stay and a relaxing get away.
This was the perfect spot for our annual Colorado vacation. We've spent a lot of time in the state, and found Hartsel perfectly located between all of our favorite activities, including horseback riding, ATV trail riding, and more. The cabin is beautifully situated on top of a hill, and we loved the views. The home was immaculate, and most importantly, had nice beds, sheets, pillows, with extras on hand, as well as comfy furniture. We've missed this in other properties (flat pillows, cheap mattresses, old broken couches, etc). Pride in ownership abounds, including details on how to work anything in the cabin, as well as great TV channel options, netflix - whatever comforts from home you're used to. The best owners we've dealt with, including making sure we arrived comfortably (and an offer to check in early!), but then leaving us to our vacation, while being only a phone call away. We can't wait to return.
