Little Gasparilla Island has no roads. It does have a 'sand highway' and other paths that you can explore.
Amenities: Two bedrooms each with queen-size beds featuring tempur-pedic mattresses. Two full bathrooms. Accommodations for four adults. Newly replaced/upgraded A/C with UV treatment featuring true three-zone control. There are ceiling fans in all rooms. Open kitchen is well equipped and includes dishes/utensils. Other features include washer & dryer, Satellite TV in LR and both bedrooms, high-speed internet package, and whole-house water filtration. Your stay includes access to the Island's pool and clubhouse.

We had a wonderful stay in your beach condo. Your condo is well appointed, nicely decorated, updated and easy to live in. We appreciated the sun porch in the morning and the screened porches for the sunset. Luckily for us we had perfect weather for our stay and so we made maximum use of the beach. We appreciated the low key living style of the island. We found it easy to relax, read, beach, swim and enjoy your condo and the beautiful scenery. We especially liked to sound of the ocean from the lanai.
The ferry ride to the mainland was enjoyable and easy to use.
Stan and Wendy are friendly, accessible and easy to work with. Their attention to detail is evident and very much appreciated.

We already knew we loved Little Gasparilla Island from our stay there in 2013. Our stay in Placida Beach #205 made our stay even nicer. The top two floor condo location is wonderful with its 3 great balconies facing the Gulf, the treetop level view, the refreshing breezes that kept us cool and comfortable (we never needed air conditioning), the short walk to the beach and to the bay.
The bedrooms were large and comfortable (great beds!) and each had its own full bath. This made it excellent for sharing with another couple, providing the right mix of togetherness and privacy.
The kitchen is well equipped and everything worked as it should. We had many great meals and happy hours together. You have to remember to bring everything you will want on the ferry though, because you cannot rush out and find a critical missing ingredient.
The condo is very clean and well maintained. The owners are very friendly and seem determined to make their guests island experience a good one.
Placida Properties, which manages the properties, parking and ferry access to the island, are friendly, helpful and easy to work with. The entire resort, both mainland and on the island, is beautifully maintained and well managed.
We hope we can return again next year and have already recommended the place to family and friends.
Little Gasparilla Island is a very special place, and probably not right for everyone. But if you like unspoiled natural beauty, peace and tranquility, and don't mind the absence of stores, restaurants, automobiles, and easy access, it could not be better. We love it!
I am very proud to say that my party was the first to rent this wonderful unit and it was fantastic! Stan and Wendy are great owners and have gone to great lengths to make sure their tenants will enjoy the stay. As far as I know it is the only unit with 2 full baths and all of the appliances are new. The kitchen is very well stocked of wares and the beds were great. Several of the other owners had even mentioned that this was the nicest unit of all of the Placida Beach condos. When deciding on our rental we were concerned that being reliant on the ferry to get back and forth would be a problem but took the chance and were well rewarded. The relative seclusion of the island is actually one of its greatest assets. It provides a very slow paced and amicable attitude among the island's residents and the beaches are wide open and pristine. Overall it was a great vacation and would love to come back.
