About the property

Newly renovated and located in the prestigious Beach area- East End Toronto

Located on a safe, quiet street in Toronto's awesome Beach neighborhood, this newly renovated house has lots of natural light and is very cozy. An excellent location just 1km from the boardwalk along the beautiful beach of Lake Ontario and just minutes walk from the streetcar, subway, and GO train that allows easy access to all the downtown sites. Enjoy Toronto’s many popular restaurants, bars, grocery stores, cafes and much more- the city is within easy reach.

This beautifully renovated bungalow offers an open concept living room, dining room, and kitchen area with lots of windows and light. Guests can enjoy the full kitchen with large fridge, microwave and oven, two full bathrooms with bathtub and shower, the front porch, back deck with gas BBQ and garden, as well as full washer and dryer. One main floor bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the other has a single over double bunk beds. The third bedroom in the basement has a queen sized bed. There is also a pull out couch (double bed) in the family room for additional sleeping. Free parking spot for one car is included and additional parking passes can be purchased through the city that I would be happy to help you with if necessary.

Other perks of the property are WIFI access, two flat screen (40”) TVs, 100 inch retractable screen and HD projector for full home theatre experience, PS3, DVD, free-to-air television and air conditioning and ceiling fans in every room. The basement has a fully finished recreation room and has a pull out sofa to allow for more sleeping room if you need it. There are two bicycles available if you would like to appreciate the city that way.

About Karyn Bugelli

We are a couple with a young family who loves to travel as often as we can. I am a teacher and my husband has his own graphic design business. We have rented properties through HomeAway in many different countries and have always had a great experience. We appreciate how expensive and cramped a hotel room can be- especially with children. We love the idea of sharing our home and having other travellers come an enjoy Toronto in a more spacious and relaxed way.

Karyn Bugelli purchased this bungalow in 2013

Why Karyn Bugelli chose Toronto

We are very proud of our home. It is in a very beautiful area of the city. The community is very family-oriented and quiet. If you are looking to party, this is not the place for you. Our neighbourhood is well-established and safe but also on three different transportation lines into downtown. It is the best of both worlds to us and allows you to experience a different part of Toronto than the tourist area.

What makes this bungalow unique

This part of Toronto is in a very nice area. The beach which is located about 1 km downhill, is pure sand and has a long boardwalk with beautiful views of the downtown core. There is an world-renowned Jazz festival as well as an outdoor olympic sized pool, tennis courts, bike and jogging paths and sports fields throughout the summer months. The restaurants in the Beach are excellent- but there are so many different types to choose from it is sometimes difficult!

Awesome place to stay and relax!

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed the extra room. We had six adults and a toddler so the space was great. Really enjoyed the projector tv downstairs. We came to watch Canada play at the world juniors so when other teams were playing we watched them at the house. The neighbourhood was great and so close to the grocery stores. Thank you for letting us stay in your home!

The house is fantastic - lovely and comfortable and all the facilities you can ask for.

  • 5 of 5

We cannot rate this house highly enough - thank you karyn for allowing us to stay in the house. It is in a lovely quiet neighbourhood perfect for our group of 4 adults and an 8 year old. Very close to supermarkets loblaws and Tim hortons at one end of the street and restaurants and banks the other. 25 minutes from the centre of Toronto by Go or by metro. The beaches are very nice. The house was spotless great bbq grill and garden. The laundry room was very handy. We never actually met karyn but she was a pleasure to deal with via vrbo Mail and we got the impression that she would be very helpful if needed. We would describe it as a home from home and will be back if we are able to afford another trip to Toronto.

Fantastic home away from home! Perfect!!

  • 5 of 5

We booked to stay at Karyn's home July 2016. We were fantastically impressed. Perfect home away from home if you are travelling with children. We have 3 boys: ages 9,6 and 2. Karyn left toys and plenty to entertain the boys. A much better option than staying in a hotel. The house is clean and very well organised. Everything has been carefully thought of. Communication with Karyn is excellent and we had no difficulties entering or checking out of the property. Thankyou very much Karyn and family for sharing your home with us. If we come back to Toronto we will definitely book with you again.

Best Wishes from Melanie, Michael, Nathan, Marcus and Alex. Xx

Wonderful family place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed ourselves staying in this Scarbourough-Toronto home. It's nice and close to three big grocery stores and up-scale strip malls where we picked up some last minute shoes and clothes for the family we were travelling with. The lay-out is good and all the beds were nice. The downstairs has a very separate bedroom with bathroom that was good as we were sharing with another family. It really felt like a second home for all of us by the second night. They shared their kids' toys, which was so appreciated and kept our two boys busy. The entertainment system with big screen and projector downstairs was a treat for the adults. We stayed for almost a week just after Christmas and drove all over the city in a rental van. It was so nice to have a place to park and the neighbourhood felt very safe. Spent a couple of days in downtown. It was 20 mins away I think, but an easy drive. Transit is nearby and we parked in town and got around that way one day. The only thing we would have changed is more dish clothes and kitchen towels--might have missed where these were. Thanks so much for sharing your home!
