Tip-up-town winter festival, Houghton Lake last two weekends in January.
We were wowed when opened the doors, to see the spacious open concept for the living room/kitchen area.
The bedrooms all had queen size beds, and plenty of room to get around. Plus 2 rooms had extra beds.
The 2 bathrooms were clean and had fresh towels out.
The neighbour, Dave, came over to welcome us. Asked if we needed anything, and where to find him. Also said he had wood chopped for us for the fire pit.
We found the laminate floor in the living room / kitchen area was not clean. We washed the floor the following day, so did not have to wear our shoes in the house.
We brought all our own bedding & pillows, and towels for the bathrooms, as well as tea towels and dish cloths. We did not have to, as there is plenty of bedding, etc. in the closets.
There were lots of hangers in the closet.
We bbq'd almost every night. So convenient to have that out the back patio doors.
We hope to return, as the house is convenient to the ATV trails.
Great location to ORV trails, restaurants, and gas stations. Quite, in the woods setting. Will be back soon.
We had a great weekend staying here, access to snowmobile trails near property. Pictures and description are very accurate. The bedding/linens could have been better, overall a great value. We hope to come back.
We had a great stay and will be back. Trail access was very close. The open space when you walk in is huge. We had a group of nine and it felt very comfortable.
Everything was great. House was clean when we got there. Everything worked and we had plenty of room for 8 people. Only complaint we had was the guy who loves across the street and cleans after people check out came over every time we had a fire going. This was fine the 1st night, but after that we wanted to sit out there and talk about the days riding and joke around with each other. Having a stranger there didn't feel right. The guy was nice enough but we wanted to be left to ourselves. This won't stop us from coming back the house was great and it was nice and quiet for us.
