The guesthouse was completely remodeled and expanded in 2009 with new appliances, flooring, furniture & fixtures and includes oven/range, microwave, refrigerator, washer/dryer in unit, coffeemaker, toaster, glasses, dishes, cookware and all towels and linens. If you don't see it, just ask for it. Owner is on property in main house and available to make our house your home during your stay. One queen bed + blow-up bed available. Super clean, everything new!! Includes HD Direct TV satellite with premium channels HBO & SHO,DVD player and WIFI. Backyard, gazebo, pool area, and all amenities available for guests.

About Carol Kawell

I have lived in Phoenix for the past 35 years. I have always lived in North Central Phoenix because of the fabulous historic neighborhoods and quaint, locally-owned shops and restaurants. I purchased this home 20 years ago and have watched this neighborhood flourish and transform into one of the most desirable in the city. I love that I am so close to downtown Phoenix and I've watched it grow and mature into one of the nation's true 'hot spots'.

Private and Quiet

We had a very positive experience staying at this place. It is a perfect size for two people. The dresser and closet provided adequate space for our clothes. We loved the luxurious towels in the bathroom. Normally I do a lot of cooking, but took a break this time. However the kitchen is very adequately furnished with dishes and pans as well as utensils for those who wish to cook. We are not swimmers, but there is a nice unheated pool right next to the place. There also is a very nice patio with comfy chairs and a grill. Everything is nicely organized and clean. Carol gave us a very nice welcome as did her dog Macey. We appreciated our stay here. It was nice to be able to park our vehicle in the carport.

Great location and host

The guesthouse is located just one block from Phoenix's light rail and a quick 15 minute drive from the airport. Also one block away is a shopping center with a very nice grocery and a couple of unique restaurants. The house itself was perfect for our needs. We only used the kitchen for breakfasts, but everything was there for full meal prep. Carol kept in touch and was helpful with locating areas of town. We especially enjoyed a trip to the Heard Museum and a spring training game in Goodyear. Our relatives in Phoenix were very impressed with the accommodations and neighborhood.

Enjoyable quiet relaxing central location

My wife & I enjoyed our 9 day getaway at Carol's guest house. It is a great place for two people to enjoy a relaxing time by the pool or under the gazebo. The north central Phoenix location was ideal for us to get to the convention centre(10 minutes) for concerts we attended or other areas to visit friends. Carol's willingness to help in any way & closeness of good restaurants made this a place we would definitely use again.

Great Stay

First time visitors to Arizona. The guesthouse was a great retreat from the cold and Carol was so welcoming. So glad we were able to stay there. We parked in her carport and had private access to the guesthouse, pool, large yard, gazebo covered area and BBQ. The guesthouse was clean, quiet, comfortable and cozy for two. It had everything you needed for cooking and making yourself comfortable. It is close to downtown and the light rail. Restaurants, grocery stores and entertainment were near by. Some within walking distance. Lastly we could never forget Macy (her dog). She was so much fun and entertainment. Always felt safe with her around. Would highly recommend this property for booking.

Another great week at a great place!

For the second year in a row, we have stayed in Carol's casita. The house is perfect for two people - small and cozy - but it has everything. Clean and comfortable, and close to some AMAZING restaurants that are actually close enough to walk to - which is a great bonus. Carol and Macy (a lovely dog) are welcoming, and helpful. Altho it was too cold to swim, the pool is great to sit by in the sun. Coming frm Illinois - the sun and bright blue sky were wonderful to see. We hope to come back next year again!!! Highly recommended!!

Loved our Stay

We came in for the national championship game and absolutely loved our stay with Carol! It has everything that you need! Beautiful inside - So quiet and Macy is so much fun! We didn't have to rent a car -The light rail is one block away that took us downtown. There are restaurants within walking distance - Applebee's and the grocery store has awesome pastries for breakfast. The deli on the corner has great sandwiches! We felt so safe at Carol's place and came and went whenever we wanted to. You cannot go wrong by staying here! Thanks Carol for allowing us to stay and we hope to come back and visit again!
