Upscale and beautifully remodeled, spacious 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath San Carlos home. Centrally located on the SF Peninsula. Over 5000 sq/feet. Close to grocery stores, shopping, library, parks, churches, casual and fine dining.

Easy access to San Francisco International Airport (20 minutes). Half hour drive to the Pacific coastal beaches, the sights of San Francisco, and the heart of Silicon Valley. Within 2 hours drive to Napa wine country, Monterey/Carmel. Driveway parking, washer/dryer, central heat and air, linens and towels provided. Property perimeter is completely fenced.

The Peninsula is the gateway to San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Stanford (Palo Alto) and all that Northern California has to offer. While in San Carlos, you are a comfortable stroll to downtown dining, shopping, parks, hiking trails, Caltrain, bus stops and much more.

Our home is an exceptional blend of high-end details and comfort. You will find the home is spacious for you and your family and will enjoy over 5000 square feet of living space. You will have more than enough space to spread-out or come together for dinners (both inside and outside). The kitchen and bathrooms have been recently updated.

The formal living room is a magnificent 2 story room. Enjoy a large historic image of the Bay Area taken from over 70 years ago. Or make yourself a fire in the large stone fireplace. This room is spectacular.

Next to the living room is a very large study and 1/2 bath. The study has a large television and pull-out couch in case you need extra space for guests. It can sleep 2.

Also next to the living room is the formal dining room which has been spectacularly appointed with 8 seat-dining table and buffet.

Down the hall enjoy the completely remodeled kitchen which is over 300 square feet. The center island has enough space to sit 5 for casual dining. Enjoy the gas stove, french-door refrigerator, dishwasher, built-in microwave, and lots of counter space. We have everything you need to create meals at our home including cookware, dishes, and utensils.

Finally, you can also enjoy the very large family room with 8 seat sectional sofa and chairs. The large screen television (65 inches) awaits you and you relax on the sofa.

The upstairs holds all 4 bedrooms and additional 3 full bathrooms.

The master bedroom is incredibly spacious and generously appointed. You will find a king size bed and additional seating. There are 2 walk-in closets off the master bedroom in addition to the exceptional 4 piece master bathroom. Enjoy showering with side jets in the spacious shower or take a relaxing bath in the large bathtub. There are 2 separate vanities for him and her.

Down the hall you will find 2 smaller bedrooms, each appointed with comfortable twin beds. Each bedrooms also contains a trundle bed - just in case you need to sleep 2 people in each room.

Finally, we have a very large bedroom that has a queen size bedroom. On the other side of the room (and separated by a bank of closets) there is another twin bed + trundle. There is also an en-suite bathroom that has been recently remodeled (over 400 square feet).

We leave all the instructions and helpful hints you need in a handy binder for your stay. Including internet access, TV instructions, and our phone numbers.

Our outdoor space has large decks and backyard with entertainment for children. On the deck you will find a large 6 seater table (with umbrella for shade) and additional seating to enjoy the warm California evenings. You will also have access to a bbq and propane tanks. The backyard has a trampoline and climbing wall for the kids.

Guests will have access to all of the 4 bedrooms in our house. We will lock one of the master bedroom closets with our files and private possessions. The rest of our beautiful home is yours to enjoy.

We plan on leaving you to your privacy. We will communicate easy instructions for your arrival and departure and leave you to enjoy the home and beautiful bay area. We will be available any time, day or night by phone or text to help with any emergency that may come up.

'San Carlos, The City of Good Living, aims for a small town feel. Its main downtown area is composed mostly of small shops and restaurants.' San Carlos has wonderful restaurants, great parks for children, hiking trails, and wonderful open spaces.

Best location in the bay area. Centrally located between San Francisco and San Jose. All forms of public transportation is walking distance. Caltrain is an easy 15 minute walk. Be in San Francisco as quick as 30 minutes on the beautiful, clean Caltrain. Seven minute drive to highway 101. Ten minute drive to highway 280.

Perfect house for a get-away or summer break. We are close to most tourist attractions in Northern California. Since we have kids ourselves, we have many amenities if you want to bring your children along

Our Thanksgiving stay

It is a beautiful home in a lovely neighborhood and we had the greatest stay. The kitchen was super for cooking a large meal and preparing countless snacks and other meals. Wonderful gathering spaces and plenty of room! Loved it.

Convenient location if you need to be many places in Bay area

We are frequent VRBO renters and I guess we are more accustomed to renting actual rental properties when we travel, so our expectations may be different than others. In this case, as noted in the description, this is a family home that the owners vacate when they have renters - so expect the home furnishings to have some wear, especially in the children's rooms and family room, and the refrigerator and island will have the family's food in it, kid's drawings tacked up on the kitchen windows, owner's personal care products in the bathroom cabinets, etc. The home's exterior deck area is very nice. The bathrooms are new and very nice, and neighborhood is nice and quiet. The owner is very personable, responsive and easy to work with - thank you Kate.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Ladies Weekend! The home was so beautiful and we had plenty of room and comfy beds. Our Hosts left some wine for us to enjoy, and were great communicators throughout. We highly recommend this property!

Great location, lots of space!

This is exactly what we needed to house our out of town guests on a recent visit to the bay area. The location is excellent and the house well-equipped.

This property is a primary residence offered as a rental when owner is out of town, so the house has much more in it than a typical vacation rental and it is set up to meet the needs of the family that resides in it rather than the basics for a vacation stay.

The house sleeps 10. We had 8 (4 adult couples) and while there was plenty of space, two of the couples were in rooms with a twin bed with a second twin pull-out trundle. It worked ok for us, and was as described, but review the sleeping accommodation arrangements to ensure it will work for your group.

Easy to get to, great location, plenty of space. We would stay again.

We did everything we could to ensure that this party had appropriate sleeping arrangements, early access to the home, and a bottle of wine to greet them. Awesome location with more than plenty of room

This home was amazing and perfect in every way and in a great neighborhood with more than enough space inside and out. Our family and friends were in town for my sons graduation and were very impressed with the entire 5000 sq.ft home. The large flat backyard with basketball hoop was great not to mention the huge spacious deck with plenty of seating and barbecue. We would stay here again. Thank You Richard and Family.

Perfect house for family with kids
