Our home is a large 4-5 bedroom, 3 full bathroom house located in a wonderful North Falmouth association, Seascape Association. Our home is less than 300 yards to one of the two private beaches and the community tennis courts. For boaters, there is also access to a private shared dock for the association and an association boat ramp.
One of the best public beaches on Cape Cod, Old Silver, is also just a short bike ride or walk away, about 2 miles. Don’t miss the western sunsets over Buzzards Bay from Old Silver! And the start of the Shining Sea bike trail is just minutes away from the house. You’ll have a fabulous time riding the 10 mile trail which traverses salt marshes, cranberry bogs, ponds and woodlands, sandy shores, and a busy working harbor all the way to Woods Hole.
The home itself is very large. It is a perfect fit for big families and can make an ideal fit for sharing among two families with plenty of bedrooms and 3 separate living spaces in addition to the wealth of community amenities, fun, and private beaches.
The home is newly renovated as of 2014. Brand new heating and cooling (including central air) was installed, kitchen updated with professional grade stainless appliances and granite counters, one bathroom completely renovated, new fixtures installed in the other two, hardwood floors refinished, new paint throughout, new outdoor shower installed, and extra large back deck rebuilt. All the furniture and decor in the house in the house is brand new as of 2014 as well.
The kitchen is a gourmet kitchen with plenty of counter and cabinet space for large meal preparations, and counter seating for quick snacks. It is open to the dining area and one of the three living spaces. The dining room has a table that seats 8 and glass sliders right to the deck for easy additional al fresco dining. The living space open to the dining area showcases a soaring brick fireplace and cathedral ceilings - a perfect place to unwind with a favorite book. Natural light streams into these rooms through the extensive wall of glass sliders going to the deck.
On the deck, we have a Weber Gas Grill, large outdoor dining table, and outdoor sofa and chairs, providing for very comfortable outdoor lounging or eating.
On the upper level, through a doorway separating it from the dining room, there is an additional huge family room, also with extra tall ceilings. The room features plenty of seating for large groups around the new 60” flat screen tv with cable and dvr box. A brand new bathroom with tiled walk in shower is directly accessed from this room. For large groups, this room can also be used as a 5th bedroom since it can be closed off at night and has the en-suite full bathroom and a large queen size sleeper sofa. That’s how our family uses it for extra guests at night.
There are two additional bedrooms (one bedroom with a twin bed and full size bed, sleeps 3, and the additional bedroom sleeps 2 on the queen size bed) on the upper level, along with another full bathroom.
On the lower lever, there is the 3rd living space, with a wall of glass sliders leading out to the patio and good sized yard. Just off the patio is the brand new outdoor shower, perfect for rinsing off after walking home from a long day at the private beach.
Back inside, the living room also has a 2nd working brick fireplace, and features a round game table for cards and board games or an additional eating area. There is a sofa and chairs arrangement in the room as well with 42” flat screen TV (with premium cable tv) in this room as well. The sofa can be used as a queen pullout for additional guests.
Also on this level are 2 additional bedrooms, both featuring queen beds (sleeping 2 people each).
Other bells and whistles include Sonos wireless sound system, Apple TV, and free Wi-Fi throughout the home.
With 4-5 bedrooms, and additional queen sleeper sofa, the house very comfortably sleeps 10 and can easily accommodate 13, though we do ask for an additional amount per guest for guests over 8. Please see our rates section for up to date pricing.
One last thing. This is our home, and we treat it and maintain it as such. We only rent it for a few weeks per year between our own personal use. We expect guests to treat it as their own home for the time they are there. In return. we think you’ll find it a very high quality home for your vacation and substantially better than other houses that may be primarily investment properties. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
My group had an awesome stay at this house! It is even better in person than in the pictures. The kitchen is beautiful, spacious enough for my large group and beautifully updated. It overlooks a large dining room table and living room which made it easy for everyone to hang out together. There are two additional living rooms creating plenty of spots for people to retreat to for privacy. There are two beaches that are around a 6 min or so walk away. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Both beaches are nice, the "Sunrise" one is more sandy and the other is nice as well. We enjoyed the fire pit and made smores, the yard was beautiful as well and hung out there reading and chatting. Everyone in my group was so happy with the house and we loved our stay. Lauren was helpful in answering all of my questions. I highly recommend this house, it was a great place for my group, which had multiple families with small kids.
Falmouth is a wonderful destination throughout the year.
