Nestled on 23 acres of land that run adjacent to the Welland river is an updated 3000 sq. ft. century old farmhouse that is ready to become your family's favourite get-away.
During the summer months, the farmhouse can comfortably sleep 15 people.
The farm is located south of the Twenty Valley Wine Country and there are a variety of wine tour companies that will pick up your parties at the farm and will drop you off following a lovely day of wine tasting. If you prefer more nature than wine, there are many beautiful parks and a sandy beach on Lake Erie only a short drive away...and the infamous Niagara Falls and all of its attractions are only a 35 minute drive away.
Plenty of sleeping spaces can be found in the four upstairs bedrooms. A king size bed and a four piece ensuite are found in the large master bedroom; an adjacent bedroom has two double beds that can sleep four; a queen bed is found in the third spacious bedroom and in the fourth bedroom a daybed can expand to comfortably sleep two. A three piece bathroom is also located on the upper floor.
On the main floor, a queen bed is tucked privately away and additional sleeping spaces can be found on a comfortable pull out sofa that is in a quiet sitting room and on the comfortable couches in the family room.
A third spacious bathroom is located on the main floor and is equipped with a shower.
Multiple eating spaces can be found between the kitchen and the dining room, which has three patio doors facing the river. The large family room has a large TV, Blu-ray player and a big and varied selection of DVDs. There are multiple games for the family to enjoy as well as a selection of children and adult books and puzzles.
A large in-ground pool and a hot tub are two of the extra amenities that will make your retreat memorable.
The kitchen is stocked with almost anything you would need during your stay. Crock pot, punch bowl, serving trays, serving bowls and bakeware are just some of the extras besides the multitude of plates, glassware and cutlery provided. There a few pantry staples, herbs and spices, and condiments provided.
A 10 acre forest is located on the south end of the property with well-appointed walking trails and a charming little shack. Several kayaks are available for use in the river that runs along the length of the property. A BBQ is supplied and there is a large fire pit on the property and the wood is available for purchase (or you can collect fallen brush).
An 18 hole golf course and a family diner are in walking distance of the property.
Pets are allowed :)
I am an advanced care paramedic in the Niagara Region and love animals and being outdoors. I was raised in a small village of 350 people, I enjoyed years of living in a city and it's nearby amenities, but in the end, the serenity of the countryside won my heart.
Lindy purchased this farmhouse in 2012
I fell in love with this property before it was even listed. I remember the sunlight hitting the big old red barn on the property and thinking how I would love to get pictures taken there. I bought the farm and it has been the family gathering place ever since.
I am a dedicated bird feeder, so if you love birds, you'll be guaranteed to have some fun sightings! This spring we have had LOTS of activity: indigo buntings, baltimore orioles, hummingbirds, yellow finches by the dozen, cardinals, red-winged blackbirds, chickadees, a variety of woodpeckers, blue jays, grosbeaks, mourning doves, nuthatches, juncos (winter regulars) as well as turkey vultures and bluebirds nesting on the property. The occassional hoot can also be heard by a pair of Great Horned Owls.
We absolutely loved staying at Pine Creek acres! Our family had so much space!
Everything you can think of they have! The kitchen is so well stocked, the bedrooms are huge, bathrooms are beautifully updated, everything was perfect. It was a perfect combination, because it had the character of the old farm house, but updated nicely to have every amedity you could think of. The hot tub was so wonderful, the river runs through the property beautifully, and lots of bush to take the dog for long walks. The board games were so fun, and they had tonnes of movies as well. They do have a keurig machine, that was nice to find. Literally anything we could think of, they had! Would love to come back in the summer to take advantage of the pool, but the winter visit was amazing! Luxury!
We chose Lindy's amazing farmhouse property for its size, amenities and the ideal central location to Niagara Falls, St. Jacobs and some family that was meeting us from Toronto. We couldn't have been more impressed by the property. Our family absolutely loved our time there. The inside of the house was gorgeous. The layout of the house was perfect too, more than enough room for the ten of us that stayed. We were able to cook all our meals right there and appreciated that there was a second refrigerator where we stocked our drinks. We spent a lot of time outdoors as well. We walked the trails, kayaked, enjoyed the fire pit and overall just had a great time.
Lindy was very accessible if we needed anything and was a pleasure to deal with. Our stay was very memorable and I hope we can make it back one day!
This property is absolutely lovely - the view out over the river in particular. The house is very clean, well equipped and spacious - in short, totally comfortable for our group of 9. Lindy was highly responsive and all details were attended to in a very timely manner. We would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a rural experience on the doorstep of "wine country".
My family and I spent several days at Lindy's lovely farmhouse!
We've done these types of vacations before but this was by far our favourite! The house was clean and comfortable. It's just perfect for large extended families looking to spend time together. We enjoyed the privacy this property offered and we loved the fact that we were able to bring our family dog.
Lindy was wonderful and was easily reachable in case we needed her but also respected our privacy. Thank you Lindy! :)
Our stay couldn't have been any better! We immediately felt at home. The atmosphere was exteemely calming and the amenities were outstanding. From the view of the river to the farm yard back drop everything was there! We enjoyed our stay very much and looking towards our next visit!
