We had a wonderful week-long stay in Falmouth at Mary's property. The interior of the unit was beautiful - we loved the open kitchen/living room and the decor throughout. Everything was clean, spacious, and comfortable for 2 adults and 2 small kids. The location was perfect - we made the short walk to Main St (for shops, restaurants, library, playground, carousel) multiple times per day. Surf Drive Beach is within walking distance (around 1 mile). We were also able to walk to Falmouth Harbor to take a ferry trip to Martha's Vineyard for the day! There is a farmer's market next to Falmouth Harbor (Thursdays) that had wonderful produce and baked goods. We would definitely recommend this rental to others and can't wait to stay here again!
Great location. Very homey townhome. Friendly owner. Would definitely come back.
Wow. We are a picky family who could not have asked for more. The location was prime. The home itself was pristine. Mary and her family were beyond accommodating. They even "loaned" us their granddaughter as a playmate for our 6 yo! Their backyard is a pleasure for grown ups and kids alike. And the grow ups disguised as kids: play sets, pool, outdoor living spaces, and a fire pit. You need, you take it: beach supplies, towels, tons of floaters. We are regular Cape summerers and have put Mary's at the top of our checklist for next year. Book it, reader, before we do!
Located in a hidden offshoot of a street and right down the road from all manner of restaurants and shops, my kids and I adored this place. Huge vaulted ceilings, fantastic widescreen TVs, wifi, amazing kitchen, amenities, a great layout, comfy furniture, a beautiful backyard with a hammock I fell in love with.... Overall I cannot rave enough. Seriously... If you look around the place, you'll find most everything you might desire tucked away somewhere, but organized well.
The owners met us and waved hello, but otherwise have left us entirely at peace. We even have a wonderful little blackish dog named "Butkiss," who belongs to the owners, yet he camps on our porch and is a welcome sight each day and morning. He's super friendly. Been leaving him fresh water to keep him happy on hot days. He's old, blind, deaf and adorable and is obviously loved. We really love having our buddy waiting for us.
We have been walking everywhere because of the location, so we feel fit, and have very little stress because of parking worries. Who needs that nonsense? We went to the Island Queen ferry to the Vineyard yesterday and the walk was maybe fifteen to twenty minutes. Bring good walking shoes or sandals because you'll need them. It's fun to walk off dinner in town and boy are there some good restaurants... Wow.
Two bedrooms and a gigantic master bath shower that we take turns in.... I WANT to take that beauty with us!
My siblings are all staying in rented homes here around Falmouth for the same week for a family gathering. Our little place is smaller than theirs, yet they all stared around wide eyed when they walked in and the oohing and Anahi g made me smile. We are hosting a a card game tonight in that huge open space and looking forward to it.
I highly recommend you put your faith and trust in this delightful cottage.
We just wrapped up 2 wonderful weeks on the Cape. The home was perfect for us. It was open and comfortable with great amenities. The owners go out of their way to make the rental feel like home providing everything from basic kitchen and bath provisions to towels and chairs for the beach.
The location was quiet and convienient to both town, beach and the MV Ferry. We hope to be able to rent here again when we come back.
We had a wonderful week on the Cape, the house is gorgeous, amazing finishes, open floor plan for easy living, well equipped kitchen, beach extras like big towels, laundry on-site, and two good size bedrooms with two full baths. Master bath is like being at a spa. Mary is lovely, welcoming and informative. Overall this property is a no-brainer yes! And most important - it's within easy walking distance of both the beach and town. Perfect place to rent, you'll wish you could stay a month!
laundry is in the townhouse. Boat rentals very short walk for fishing or ferry to Martha's Vineyard Sunset cruises available as well
