This three-bedroom, two-bathroom classic Coronado Village home, (fourth bedroom & third bathroom available) which was built in 1910, seamlessly combines the charm of a unique early twentieth-century home with the look and feel of contemporary styling. Completely remodeled, refurnished, and repainted in 2011, this home is nestled on elegant and tranquil A Avenue and situated only minutes by foot from one of America's finest beaches, the Coronado Municipal Golf Course and, of course, the world-famous Hotel del Coronado. You can enjoy the comfort of a fully air-conditioned home with travertine bathrooms with multiple and rainhead shower heads, a private and spacious master suite, French doors that open onto a private patio and walled garden, and hardwood floors of rare beauty and style. Covered for decades by carpet, the original 1910 clear Douglas fir floors breathe again after being restored in 2011 to their original splendor. The home features an updated kitchen with a new stainless steel refrigerator and a filtered water system, a new tankless water heater, a gas fireplace, three flat screen televsions, cable access, and high-speed WIFI internet access. Known as the Ben and Camille Wyatt Home, the house has a rich history. Commodore Ben Harrison Wyatt was an early U.S. Navy aviator, a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross for his work in 1926 in mapping Alaska, and a driving force behind the founding of the Coronado Municipal Golf Course. During his 30-year naval career, he also served as naval air attache in several European capitals and, later, as military governor of the Marshall Islands. His wife, Camille Palmer Wyatt, was the daughter of a well-known British landscape painter.

About Robert Koch
My family has lived in Coronado since 1957 and at 729 A Avenue since 1967. We love this house and its history and plan to retire here someday.
Robert Koch purchased this House in 1967
What makes this House unique
One of the many wonderful things about this home is that it is within short walking distance of all that Coronado has to offer and within minutes by car or water taxi from all that San Diego has to offer. The home is quiet and peaceful and a perfect place to relax and unwind. Known as the Ben and Camille Wyatt house, this home has a strong and direct connection to the history of Coronado and to the history of the U.S. Navy and naval aviation. Just 5 blocks away is Coronado's nationally reknown Central Beach, and the city's climate is temperate year round.

First, Bob was great to work with very accommodating to all of our special needs. The Home was wonderful we loved how it was set up and how well maintained it was. We have stayed in many homes on Coronado and we like this place the best! Definitely will be back.
Coronado dream come true
Everything about this vacation home is well-designed with comfort and convenience always a priority. Bob walked us through all the details without making it overwhelming, and was incredibly responsive when we had questions. You don't feel like you are a guest in someone else's home, you feel like this is your home for as long as you are staying. I have never been more relaxed during and after a vacation!
All You need for a Great Vacation
Everything we needed was in the house, really cozy, and the kitchen was very well equiped, the back yard was impecable, we had a great vacation
Such a beautiful property. Well-maintained and upgraded. The backyard is a perfect secluded oasis. Perfect for relaxing or family BBQs. Close to everything: restaurants, shops, Hotel Del, beach and parks. We loved walking or biking to anywhere on the island. Bob was so accommodating. Made special trip over when we had problems with the cable box. Just bring your clothes, everything else you will need is in this quaint home. Hope to be back.
What a wonderful rental!
We had a wonderful Coronado vacation this summer, in large part to this fabulous home and the attentive and gracious landlord Bob. The house is so nice...and it's perfectly appointed with everything one needs for a comfortable stay. The location is superb..quiet neighborhood but close to beach, restaurants...we even found a wonderful yoga studio five minutes away. Bob was helpful and responsive throughout the entire process..couldn't have been a better experience. If you are looking for a wonderful place to stay in Coronado..this is it!
The Perfect House In Coronado
This home in Coronado is just simply perfect. My wife and two kids stayed here for a month in June and I cannot say enough nice things about the property, the location, and Bob, the owner. The house is kept up super well and extremely well appointed with everything you need to live here and make this your second home. Bob was very responsive if we needed anything and you can tell he certainly takes a lot of pride in the home and making sure you are comfortable! The house is in a great location just blocks from the Hotel Del beach and tons of shopping, dining, and great happy hours.
My family made life-long memories in this home and in the area. I thank Bob very much for the opportunity to stay in his beautiful home.
Coronado Beach Makes Top Five All-Star List by Greer Goebels San Diego’s Coronado Beach: This broad, family-friendly beach ranks No. 1, best beach in the nation, on the lists of both National Geographic and Forbes. Both lists are Hawaii-heavy, so it says a lot that they’re topped by Coronado, where the sand sparkles with mica and surfers and families mingle seamlessly. Coronado is also No. 6 on the Travel Channel’s Best U.S. Beaches list (topped by Hawaii) and No. 9 of Most Popular U.S. Beaches.
