This amazing home is fantastically located just 3/10's mile to Bank Street Beach and is a short walk to the many restaurants and shops in beautiful Harwich Port Village. Harwich Port was ranked the 2nd Happiest Seaside Town in 2013 by Coastal Living Magazine!

This home is tastefully decorated and features all new furniture and bedding. There is room for the entire family with 6 bedrooms on the main floor and a separate 1 bedroom apartment upstairs, plus every room gets its own bathroom!

On the main floor, you will also find: a beautifully decorated living room with A/C and TV with DVD, an adjoining den with 2 oversized leather chairs, a fully equipped kitchen, and, due to the large size of the home, there are 2 dining areas to accommodate 14 people.

Additional amenities include: plenty of parking for everyone, WI-FI Internet access, washer/dryer, a high-end gas grill and outdoor furniture, and plenty of fans will also be available.

the upstairs apartment and upstairs bathroom have been completely remodeled! We have also completely remodeled two of the downstairs bathrooms. We do stay busy in the off-season!

No Smoking. No Pets.

Bed linens and towels NOT provided. You will have to bring your own sheets and towels. Here's the bedding arrangement:

BR1: King sized bed

BR2: two twins that can be joined to make a King (mattress adapter in closet.)

BR3: one bunk bed with two twin sized mattresses

BR4: two twins

BR5: a full-size (in between a twin and a queen)

BR6: a queen size bed

Upstairs: a King size bed (and pull-out couch)

About Jay and Bonnie Kenney

Jay and Bonnie have either lived on the Cape or visited the cape since we were kids. We've always been in love with it, especially the Harwich Port area. When we had the opportunity to buy 88 Bank St, we jumped at the chance.

When we are not enjoying SurfSide, we live in Southern NH where we both have jobs in high tech.

Why Jay and Bonnie Kenney chose Harwich - Harwichport

SurfSide was built around 1950 and run as a B&B for many years. That's why it has so many bedrooms and bathrooms. Around the late 1980s it was purchased as a retirement home for nuns. Over the years, their numbers dwindled and in 2013, Bonnie and Jay Kenney purchased 88 Bank St, named it SurfSide. We spend as much time there as we can, when it is not rented out.

What makes this house unique

SurfSide has two features that make it unique. It sleeps 14 people, and it has a great location in Harwich Port with just a short walk to downtown and the beach.

Unique and Charming Rental for Large Groups

This home was perfect for our group which comprised of three families with kids. The layout was not what we expected but surprisingly it worked well for us. With 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, there was no shortage of space for privacy. But there were also a lot of options when we came together. We spent time in the living room playing Pictionary and jigsaw puzzles with the kids. The kitchen and dining room combo was a good size for us to congregate. But, with such a spacious side lawn, we often ate al fresco. Parking space in the back in ample for 4 SUVs.

The owners were so welcoming and responsive to our questions. They provided menus and brochures from local restaurants and attractions. The home is neat and well-kept. Jay and Bonnie stocked the vacation rental with all the comforts of a true home. There were Cape and nautical, beachy touches throughout. The beds were very comfortable. And there were storage and closets aplenty. It is apparent that they love their home very much.

This rental is close to several restaurants. Embers was quite good. And we were a short drive from Brax Landing and Sundae School which the kids loved. We walked to the Bank St. Beach. We drove to other beaches but that wasn't a problem. Actually, all the driving we did was easy.

The only thing I would suggest to the owners is perhaps labeling the light switches. It took us a while to figure out which opened what. All things considered, I think we were blessed to find this house. Luckily, we booked nearly a year in advance. We hope to visit Cape Cod again soon and would not hesitate to book this home again.

Fantastic Family Vacation!

Thanks again Bonnie and Jay for the use of your fantastic home! Its a great location right down town with access to all that Harwichport has to offer. The house is spacious and allows you to enjoy a quiet cup of morning coffee or some evening drinks without feeling like the family is closing in on you. The kids love the house and the quick walk to Sundae School and look forward to our future visits again!

Another great vacation

We had another wonderful vacation at Surfside this year. This house is just perfect and we love coming here. The owners are always working on updates in the house and we look forward to our trips each year. Can only say good things about our experience renting this home - Jay and Bonnie are fabulous to work with and genuinely care about your visit to their lovely house.

Awesome Family Vacation Location

We loved our stay at Surfside in Harwichport. We had three generations for a week's vacation and found Surfside to be perfect !

Everyone had their privacy with a bathroom for every bedroom and extra refrigerator space for everyone's beverage of choice.

We walked downtown for Breakfast and walked to the beach every day ! Jay and Bonnie made sure the house was clean and comfortable with AC, as the weather was warm !

Surfside was even better than we remembered. It sits In the perfect location and is large enough to accommodate all of the needs of a large family. Jay was very responsive to a question we had.

Perfect location, great for large groups

This house is amazing. It has so many bedrooms and bathrooms to easily accommodate large groups. There is not a bad room in the house. You can walk to adorable downtown Harwich Port which has great restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. You can also keep walking and you will end up at the beach! You don't have to worry about paying expensive beach parking rates. The house has plenty of different of areas to hang out, whether you want to veg out on the large sectional or sit outside and enjoy the huge yard. What I found to be one of the nicest parts of this rental is that the owners genuinely want you to have fun! This was a great experience and we will rent again.
