The Skagit river in the front yard, this house is an ideal home base from which to explore the area or just stay put. You can take a day hiking trip in majestic mountains and come 'home' to sleep in a comfy bed instead of a tent! There are several dams to visit nearby and the historic town of Concrete is fun to explore and nearby. This is also the perfect place to just relax on the deck enjoying a lovely view of the Skagit River or roast marshmallows at the fire pit next to the river. The large sandy beach at the community park is within walking distance and a must see with beautiful vistas. Bring your camera and your fishing pole! Come in the winter to see the eagles or in the summer to explore the North Cascades!

I have lived in the Pacific Northwest all of my life and love to kayak, hike and photograph nature.
Robin Mallory purchased this cottage in 1982
This is such a peaceful place and the river is beautiful. Easy access to the North Cascades National Park where beauty and hiking opportunities abound.
The nearby Community beach is easy to walk to. The road in the community are flat and great for a jog in the morning. I love to sip my coffee from the deck and watch the river.
My husband and I loved going to the Mallory Cottage. It was a great winter retreat for us and we had tons of fun hiking and eagle watching. Can't wait to go again......
Loved It! Melisa & Rod White
Beautiful views of the skagit river had treats waiting and well stocked. Would highly recommend
We loved this place. My husband likes to cook. The kitchen is well equipped and very clean. All directions were well written and we had no problems. I recommend this place highly, especially if you are looking for a quiet getaway.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary over the weekend here. The cottage is exactly as advertised, clean and super cozy. We cooked all our own meals and found the kitchen well stocked with just about all needs considered. It rained a bunch and it was cool to watch the river level rise throughout the weekend. Plenty of outdoorsy stuff to do in the area or if your thing is kicking back with a book, playing games or doing puzzles (that actually have all the pieces) with the family, the cottage is just right. Thanks Robin!
Robin was prompt in responding and we found the cottage well-supplied and comfortable.
The Mallory Cottage is in a beautiful setting on the Skagit River. My three adult children and I used the cottage as a place to cook and sleep after hiking in the North Cascades each day. We found the cottage cozy & comfortable being equipped with everything you would need to cook full meals. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed watching a movie from the vast selection in the cottage.
The North Cascades Highway is considered the most scenic highway in Washington State and makes a lovely day trip from the Mallory Cottage. Historic Concrete WA is just 6 miles away and a walking map of this charming town is provided. Mt. Baker and Baker Lake as well as Lake Shannon are nearby as well. Many hiking opportunities nearby and hiking books are provided. The North Cascades National Park visitor's center is 33 miles away. When you visit, be sure to take the short boardwalk trail for an outstanding view. In the winter, eagle watching is very popular up river. There is a wildlife viewing area where Elk are seen regularly on Highway 20..
