The Skagit river in the front yard, this house is an ideal home base from which to explore the area or just stay put. You can take a day hiking trip in majestic mountains and come 'home' to sleep in a comfy bed instead of a tent! There are several dams to visit nearby and the historic town of Concrete is fun to explore and nearby. This is also the perfect place to just relax on the deck enjoying a lovely view of the Skagit River or roast marshmallows at the fire pit next to the river. The large sandy beach at the community park is within walking distance and a must see with beautiful vistas. Bring your camera and your fishing pole! Come in the winter to see the eagles or in the summer to explore the North Cascades!

I have lived in the Pacific Northwest all of my life and love to kayak, hike and photograph nature.
Robin Mallory purchased this cottage in 1982
This is such a peaceful place and the river is beautiful. Easy access to the North Cascades National Park where beauty and hiking opportunities abound.
The nearby Community beach is easy to walk to. The road in the community are flat and great for a jog in the morning. I love to sip my coffee from the deck and watch the river.
Cabin was very clean and equipped with everything you need. The nearby river beach is amazing. Had a great time. Thank you!
Great place to stay, quiet, clean and a great bed! Everything you need for a relaxing vacation is supplied. We will stay here again.
This was a quiet and relaxing place to stay for the weekend. The property backs up to the banks of the mighty Skagit River. The description of the place was accurate and the house was clean and well-maintained. A good place to stay if you want to get off of the beaten track and relax.
Mallory Cottage was very nice and equipped with everything a traveler needs. Beautiful location and reasonably priced. Would like to return some day.
My family of 4 enjoyed our stay, right on the Skagit River. The cottage was perfectly clean, well stocked. The kitchen had everything, and we made several meals there, always finding what we needed. The beds were comfortable. There's a small park about 1/4 mile up the road where we took a walk on a sandy beach on the river. Town is easy to get to, and we bought several really nice items from the Sauk Mountain Pottery which is close by on Highway 20.
Robin responded quickly with the checkin info we needed.
This was a wonderful cottage in a great location. Both queen beds were very comfortable, the view of the river was stunning, and the place was immaculately clean. We hiked to nearby Blue Lake, and encountered awesome views of Mt. Baker along the drive up to the trail head. Beers and burgers at the Birdsview Brewery is a must, and if you make it over to Lake Diablo you will never forget that view.
The North Cascades Highway is considered the most scenic highway in Washington State and makes a lovely day trip from the Mallory Cottage. Historic Concrete WA is just 6 miles away and a walking map of this charming town is provided. Mt. Baker and Baker Lake as well as Lake Shannon are nearby as well. Many hiking opportunities nearby and hiking books are provided. The North Cascades National Park visitor's center is 33 miles away. When you visit, be sure to take the short boardwalk trail for an outstanding view. In the winter, eagle watching is very popular up river. There is a wildlife viewing area where Elk are seen regularly on Highway 20..
