Overview

About the property

3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, 4 Sleeps

Built in 1875, this 2,400 square foot house radiates early Victorian charm. We chose warm colors throughout, inspired by our time living in Mexico. The furnishings are simple and uncluttered.

Ours is a light, comfortable home in the heart of historic Concord. The first floor living area has many great features, a front door and rear, mudroom, entrances, and full bath which includes bathtub/shower. The living room is furnished with a sofa, loveseat, wood-burning stove, armoire with flat screen TV. The kitchen has granite counter tops, three barstools, and stainless steel appliances. The Family room has a breakfast table, love seat, and French doors leading to the backyard patio. In the dining room you will find seating for six along with an upright piano.

The second floor has a master bedroom, two smaller bedrooms, a full bath, and a home office. The master bedroom has a king bed with a memory foam mattress, with a skylight overhead, cherry dressers and bedside tables, and an elegant hardwood floor. The second bedroom has a queen bed with a memory foam mattress, with a skylight overhead, and a light pine dresser, bedside table, and desk. The guest bedroom is used as a study/TV room, with one wall has a floor-to-ceiling bookcase and a flat screen TV. A home office has skylights, desks, and a twin bed. The upstairs bathroom has a full bath with separate shower and soaking tub. The home enjoys high-speed wireless Internet access throughout.

The house enjoys a small yard, easy to maintain, that is landscaped with perennials and shade plants, with a private, Japanese style contemplative side garden. The rear yard has a private brick patio with Adirondack chairs and a private screened back porch under lots of shade from tall, leafy mature trees.

Perfectly Wonderful !

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the fresh energy and uplifting art in this 1875 house. Jay and Stephanie have gone out of their way to decorate and organize this historic home so visitors have plenty of space to spread out and many places to relax. They have added little details like festive holiday lights that make the kitchen sitting area extra special and cozy. It is a simple but beautiful, clean and comfortable home, with easy to access instructions for heating, entertainment, laundry and all the basics. On top of that, it's great location in a quiet neighborhood with a short walk to restaurants, groceries, and even the train station (no we couldn't hear it) make it perfect for getting easy fun exercise. Down the street and around the corner is a Starbucks and Dunkin' Doughnuts! Head in the other direction and you find quaint Concord! What more could you ask?

Concord house

  • 5 of 5

The owners are delightful to work with and left the home in excellent condition for our stay. We had all the needed cleaning supplies and paper goods to use. House is bright and sunny and well cared for. We especially liked the location because we could walk to all parts of the town. Home was very clean and ready for our stay.

We would like to return to Concord Mass in the future and stay at the house again We would say stars excellent
