About Mary Woodcock

Like to meet and greet new friends. On a recent trip to India my children commented that there is no place on this earth that I don't run into someone I know.

Mary Woodcock purchased this house in 1972

Why Mary Woodcock chose Merrimack Valley & Essex County

Ideally located to downtown Salem with out waiting in traffic or trying to hunt down an illusive parking space. Also after enjoying the sights and sound of Salem you can walk to the commuter train station to take the inbound train to Boston or the outbound Train to Newburyport, Rockport, Gloucester or Manchester by the Sea.

What makes this house unique

Close to everything you may want or need. While walking the nieghborhood you'll get to see the GIANT GNOME that lives next door or view the massive garden that is home of prize winning GIANT PUMPKINS over 1,000 lbs.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We couldn't be more thankful that we had your house to stay in during our wedding weekend! Everyone had a wonderful time between a pot luck on Thursday evening, opening gifts in your living room on our wedding morning, my girls reading gossip magazines while having their hair done, and enjoying some time in Salem. Our experience just wouldn't have been the same in a hotel. THANK YOU for sharing your house with us and for making sure we were comfortable there!

Salem adventure

  • 5 of 5

Home was warm and welcoming in every aspect. The beds comfortable and everything was clean. Everything you need is at this home! We went to Salem for a brief vacation. Salem has its history however the surrounding towns were phenomenal in beauty. Rockport is a quiet, by the sea town with touristy shops. Another day we went to Boston and the hay markets, along with the US Constition. If you like history this is your town! We then ventured to Marblehead, which is a sleepy adorable town that has a Parker which overlooks the ocean....sweet. All in all this iPhone in Salem was a great location to venture out to seethe any sights of Massechucetts.

Owner's Response: As a local to the area I take for granted some of the "regular" sights I am exposed to of the area and just how unique and special that this area is. It fabulous hearing about the places you visited and how enjoyable your travel was. I have walked, biked, swam and hiked most of the nooks and crannies of the area but seeing it through someone else's eyes makes me smile and the wonders I sometimes overlook. Thank you so very much for your visit

This home is perfect for a family vacation. Mary is very accomodating and helpful, before during and after your stay. We were able to walk to town, which is a big plus! We enjoyed sitting outside, drinking our coffee in the morning. Highly recommend this home!

Beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

The guys and I very much enjoyed the stay. It was close to everything and walking distance to downtown. The property was beautiful and very well maintained, we didn't need much. Also the property manager was great, although due to timing we did not meet on the first day. She made it a priority to meet us the next morning! Mary thank you very much for being awesome.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay, the house was as listed. Mary was very nice and accommodating, she even had a pack n play ready for my daughter. She gave us recommendations around town, which we sought out and found to be delicious. Overall a great trip to Salem.
