About Jane Davis
I purchased this house in 2005 because I fell in love with it and the location. I love the desert and love traveling. I spent two years in Europe (one in Paris and one in Switzerland). I speak French. After two years abroad at age 21, too much wine led me to my past and current interest in health and nutrition. I do daily research on healthful living styles and vitamins and minerals. I have two children, both musicians. 3 grand children. When I come to my desert home about 10 hours a day are spent in the pool with my children and grand children.

Why Jane Davis chose La Quinta Cove
I have a wonderful manager called First Class Cleaning Service in La Quinta. This property is so well kept up. It is ready for anyone to move into. The area is spectacular. The views of the mountains and the hiking trails are some of the best in the world. There is a statue of a horse (new) on top of a mountain which lights up at night and can be seen from this house in the backyard. Also house is 35 minutes to Palm Springs, The Palm Springs Art Museum and the Thursday night walks. 10 minutes to Palm Desert with their art galleries and extravagant shops, great restaurants. This property is close to the Coachella Music Festivities which occur once a year. It is also one block from the hiking trails. A pool and spa which is absolutely extraordinary. Lawn and a double lot size. Very friendly house. Fell in love with it the instant I saw it and bought it within 5 minutes. Never a regret.
What makes this House unique
The Pool and Jacuzzi (remote turn on in house) have great charm and that is why I fell in love with this place. Facing the patio is a large lawn used for a lovely sitting area. The front of the house is also beautifully landscaped and has a sitting area as well. The bedrooms are very large and I have had as many as 8 people stay there with no problem. Many extra futons available. I love this house. Total vacation away from home and just 1.3 miles to Old Town famous for shops and restaurants.

Relaxing and quiet
This was one of our favorite vacation rentals. Jane was very prompt in replies and checked on us when we had the 6.2 earthquake. Very nice and loads of amenities
Another great visit.
I’ve stayed at the Pool House several times and it never gets old. Everything was great - quiet, nicely air conditioned, clean, great bbq gas grill, and, most importantly, a great pool I enjoyed each and every day and night. The yard is private enough for skinny-dipping as well as working on a great over-all tan
I'm already looking forward to my next week-long retreat in La Quinta next June.
The home was cozy and warm. It is so well stocked with everything in the kitchen you could want. The whole house is well labeled....lights, fans, kitchen drawers. The pool is beautiful and well maintained as well as the lawn. My husband and I both loved it as well as our two Golden Retrievers. It was easy to walk my pups in this neighborhood.
Great fun, again!
We enjoy coming here over and over for a fun, relaxing time. Everything we need is here to make an enjoyable stay. Can't wait for next time!
Well equipped and comfortable property
The property was clean and well maintained. My 2 sisters and I were comfortable there and had plenty of space. We really enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi, patio (with misters) and outdoor space. There’s even some fun pool toys! And an air pump, we discovered after using a hand pump for a while. We loved that kitchen drawers and shelves were labeled—very clever.
Oh and it’s worth mentioning the shampoo and ‘rinse’ which left our dried, out sun damaged hair incredibly soft and revived. We’d love to know what those products are!!
Only criticisms we have are not enough outdoor plates so we had to hand wash them after each use. Also, quite a few outdoor lights don’t work, but what did work was very pleasant and provided a beautiful ambiance.
We all agreed the property was well equipped and comfortable overall.
Nice pool and yard but the house is very dated.
We just completed our 6 day stay here and we actually tried to find other accommodations on the 2nd day but we we where unable to cancel and would have lost money.
The good :-
The pool and yard where very nice , the misters didn’t work at first and although the owner had the handyman come out to fix broken water line I personally had to remove all the nozzles, clean them and reinstall ... not a big deal but it kind of bugged us.
The edge of the hot tub had a large piece of stonework missing which was dangerous and you had to be careful around that area. The yard in general was nice and very private.
The kitchen equipment was excellent , washer , dryer, fridge, stove , microwave ... countless utensils very good indeed.
The bad :-
The house is dated ... and I mean old ... the structure is old and with an old house comes old smells ... the house literally smells so bad we looked at moving out on our 2nd day, we couldn’t make it work though and so we tried to use scented candles to mask the smell. I’m not exaggerating on this, we have just spent an entire day here back at home washing and re-washing our clothes trying to get the smell out of everything.
Other than the kitchen cupboards every other one is old and especially in the bathrooms where you can see old water damage under the sinks.
Which reminds me .. first day there I had to repair the main bathroom sink as it was not draining and I didn’t enjoy going under there especially on vacation.
We told ourselves while we where there that because we didn’t really have anything nice to say we wouldn’t say anything at all, but after the smell followed us home we felt we should pass this info on as it may be important to others also.
We are sad to say that it spoiled the end to our California vacation, we where actually happy to leave and get home.
If we could have cancelled on our 2nd day and found alternative accommodations we would have done so for sure.
I will say however the owner was very easily reachable and quick to try to remedy the mister issue.
We are saddened to have to leave such a poor review.
In all the years we have rented out this house, no one has ever complained about a bad smell. You have cost me over $100 by not being able to turn on the hot tub, not being able to do several things and I have had to call my pool person more than once. The tile missing is being fixed (since the house is rented all the time we had to wait until it was empty to do so). The house was purchased in 2008 and was completely redone to the tune of $125,000. All is up to date. You have written to me daily about problems. I have never had this happen before. I wish you luck in your endeavors and sorry you stayed at my place. I have nothing but 5 star rating and many repeats. I will not rent to you again ever. Jane
La Quinta's downtown commercial district is officially known as 'The Village.' The Village District includes private commercial developments such as 'Old Town' and 'Plaza Calle Tampico,' and contains many professional offices, the City museum, small tourist-oriented shops and boutiques, and several restaurants.
La Quinta is close to Palm Springs, Indian Wells, Rancho Mirage, and Palm Desert. These cities offer theaters, plays, museums, art and plenty of culture. Gambling, weekend flea markets, and the famous EVERY THURSDAY NIGHT FAIR in Palm Springs. People watching! So many outdoor restaurants! Such fine dining.
