Overview

About the property

Suite, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 1-4)

The Villa Pacifica Suite at Rogue Shores is located in beautiful Gold Beach, Oregon. Your stay with us will be relaxing and rejuvenating. It's luxurious, super clean and footsteps to a really nice beach. The view is always changing, with the seasons, the weather and the tides.

A wonderful place for Honeymoons or your Anniversary. It can be quite romantic. So private, you feel like you are on your own island. Great for the small family, 1 couple or 2 couples. A comfortable, safe location for single women and children.

You can sit outside on the deck or be in the hot tub and enjoy the waves crashing in front of you, or stay inside and view the shore through the 12 foot wide window/sliding glass door. The partially enclosed deck has been constructed to give you privacy and wind protection while you sit outside at the beach in almost any weather.

Watch the whales, dolphins, seals or sea lions frolic in the sea. Or the seagulls, pelicans and shore birds flying by, or diving for fish before your eyes.

You may just want to wear your slippers, cook your meals in the suite, and never leave the comfort of the Villa Pacifica. The two bedrooms are cozy and warm, and you are sure to sleep well on the pillow top beds. Everything you should need during your stay is provided for you, towels, dishes, fresh linens, quality cooking utensils and more. Your stay with us should be truly enjoyable.

We do not allow pets. Smoking is allowed on the deck. We clean without heavy chemicals, and use mostly organic bedding and towels. Great for the chemically sensitive guest.

Why Susan chose Coastal Oregon

The owners built this house in the early 1990's. We love the location. You can't get any closer to the ocean.

What makes this house unique

Peace and serenity. Walking the beach and beachcombing.

Quiet, Beautiful & Peaceful

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay here. This property isn't downtown so the beach is far less crowded & more peaceful. The size, layout & amenities were perfect for our family of 4. The only downfall was the beach access. It wasn't impossible but a bit difficult to navigate with smaller children.

Owner's Response: Yes, the beach access has changed this winter with the large amount of rain and snow in the inland valleys. All that washed down the river, into the ocean, causing higher tides. This winter, the tides and winter storms at the beach were tremendous. It has been 20 years since I have seen this heavy weather. The pathway on the north was cut 10 feet. My German Shepherd flew over it in the dark and injured himself. He couldn't understand what had happened to the pathway he has always known. The pathway to the south is workable, but yes, I would think it would have been tough with small children, which is why I recommended the path at the neighbors. Normally it is a short, easy walk to the beach. It is tougher at the moment, but the dune will build back up this summer. Also, this next week we are planning on trying to rebuild a working pathway, until nature has the opportunity to rework it herself. I apologize for mother nature. She was really busy this winter!

Absolutely wonderful place to stay.

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I stayed on 2-16-17 and 2-17-17 for our 17th anniversary. The place was wonderful. We had a great time and will be staying there again as soon as we get a chance.

Just what we were looking for

  • 5 of 5

We have been many places that say they are beach front property...this one really is! Sitting inside, outside, on the deck, or in the hot tub, there was nothing between us and the ocean except beach. A beautiful view from a very clean and comfortable portion of a nice home and stocked with many great appliances and various spices and other things that came in handy. The beds were very comfortable and linens, etc, were great.

A few things to be aware of:

1. About 15 stairs leading up to the home are a bit of a challenge for large or heavy items (for us older folks).

2. The range is a small four burner unit that could use some attention.

Overall, we were very happy with this rental and would recommend it to anyone that loves the ocean.

Its all about the view

  • 3 of 5

Truly a million dollar view. The place was neat and tidy.

The property itself is a bit shabby. There is only one room with places to sit to read, etc, which is the the living area. This area gets intense sun in the afternoon, making it challenging to sit in that room. That leaves the dining area or lay in a bed. And there is no where in either bedroom to put your suitcase but the floor (old carpet) and no dresser for your clothes.

There is only TV in the main room, the tv channels do not work in the bedrooms, only dvd, or you can see whatever channel the main tv is on...somehwat annoying

If you are short, good luck! I was unable to reach the dvd player to put in a movie since i was using the only little wooden stool for my suitcase.

I had to call family for help on how to operate the shower, no directions anywhere. Overhead light burnt out in living room and bathroom as well

The furniture in the living area has truly seen better days. The one recliner close to the kitchen, when you sit in it, be careful! It will flip you back and if you recline it is hard to un-recline as the arm is very loose. The other recliner is a bit better but not much. The sofa...seen better days...a long time ago. And the mattresses...yikes! Major back and shoulder aches.

There was a large assorment of glasses, dishes and cookeware, which was nice. I would like to have had something to clean the windows looking out at the ocean though. Dont think they have been cleaned in a while.

There no screens on windows...be careful of flys and wasps (and no air comditioning so you need to leave some windows open).

The bedrooms are on the back so no listening to the waves as you sleep.

But, the view is amazing and mesmerizing. You could never build something this close to the coean on the east coast.

If the furniture issue (bedrooms and living area) was addressed, along with screens for the bedrooms, some better patio furniiture, clean windows and remove the nasty carpet in the bedroom, then this place would be a 5+ star.

Most relaxing home

  • 5 of 5

We were so impressed with this rental. The three night stay was so incredibly relaxing. Walking out the door and being right on the beach was very nice. No one to bother you, no noise from neighbors, no traffic, all added to the serenity of the stay. I went out berry picking there on the street, went for walks on the beach, enjoyed the hot tub, and really liked the comfort of the home. You have quality in your home and that was very much appreciated. I will plan on staying here again in the future and will recommend this jewel to my friends. Happy Visitor
