our stay was just ok. Beds were clean and bathrooms well kept. However, we did encounter a few cockroaches during our time there. Also, we noticed random people walking around the property at times. Not sure if work was being done or what, but it made us uncomfortable. All in all, for what we needed for those few days the stay was ok.
Very comfortable and spacious, I have my team with me for a convention and was enough privacy for everyone .
A group of 6 of us recently stayed here. It was a 4 bedroom 2 full bath which was prefect! The backyard was very clean and well kept as well as the I ground pool. Inside was very clean and roomy. For beach days it was a quick walk around the block. The beach itself was very clean, quiet and not crowded. I would definitely recommend staying here again!
Honestly, don't bother staying here. Its really not worth all the hassle.
First, the owner will ask about ten times if you are throwing a party. We were not, and we said so every single time that we were a small group of mature professionals, but that didn't appear to matter.
The house is ok, but nothing special. The pool is cold, and that's with the "heating on" (apparently). To say that they'll actually heat the pool is a bit of an exaggeration. They will turn the heat on low, but the pool is barely tolerable, as long as you can tolerate it cold. So definitely don't pay extra to warm the pool, because you'll never see that money again, even if they promise to give you a refund, like they promised us.
Finally, if you think you can stay until the posted checkout time, think again. The cleaning crew will show up about an hour early and shame you for still being there. Barge into bedrooms and start doing laundry. Probably the most unpleasant a check out experience could be.
If you don't mind all that, then it's not too bad for 2 stars!
3 friends rented this home for a relaxing vacation. Very convenient location--close to grocery stores, great restaurants, block from the beach. Plenty of room with 4 bedrooms & 2 baths, good size living room. Kitchen isn't large so don't plan on having more than 1 person in the main part at a time & 1 working on the island but worked just fine for us--you can see this from the photos. Great pool area-large pool-not much yard for kids to play in if that's what you're looking for but again, not an issue for us. We picked up some white plastic side tables on the cheap at Target to use with the outdoor chairs & left them for those of you renting in the future which was helpful! It's an older home but well kept and clean. TV's in all the bedrooms if that's important to you. We did have an issue with the breaker going off for the hot water heater but worked through that. The response from the maintenance team was good. Tip--for the Jack & Jill bath you have to turn on the light switch for the electrical outlets to work. Winn Dixie was a better grocery store than the Publix closest to the house. We never had a bad meal out-and all of these restaurants are near the house---Ceviche By the Sea, La Dolce Vita (Excellent Italian! We ate there twice), Red Cow BBQ, 15th Street Fisheries (if you want to go casual eat in the bar area), Rosie's Bar & Grill is fun & unique--we went for brunch on Sunday, Original Pancake House for your basic breakfast, Country Ham & Eggs for breakfast, Pane Dolci has great Italian desert pastries & gelato, Zona Fresca for freshly made Mexican and very good ceviche on certain days. Recommend this property for a great vacation location
I brought my kids and grandkids for a winter break from our Michigan winter. The house is conveniently located a mere 3 minute walk from the beach and about a mile or so north of restaurants and hotels on Ft. Lauderdale beach.
We had 6 adults and 3 little ones, and the house was well equipped to handle us all, including having a high chair and pack and play. It is an older home and shows a lot of wear and tear, but was clean and sufficient.
My complaint was that I paid extra to have the pool "heated" because we rented in February, but the heater was not able to sufficiently able to warm the water enough for my grandchildren to swim. It may have been that there was a governor on the system that did not allow the water to be heated above 75 degrees. Even though I complained about the water's temperature, and afterward asked for a refund of my money, I have gotten no response.
