Cozy, pleasant vacation cottage

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was a cozy place to stay while on Kodiak. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and there were current movies to make a fun movie night. The walls and niches were decorated with vintage and Alaskan items. It was a short distance from everything in the town of Kodiak. We would definitely stay again.

Absolutely perfect for our needs

  • 5 of 5

The house on the lake was peaceful and quiet. Lots of sunshine streaming in the windows. Can imagine sitting on front and back decks in summer and enjoying the BBQ and large lakeside lawn would be wonderful. We enjoyed watching kids on the frozen lake from the cozy fireside indoors. As we were there for medical reasons very convenient to hospital and all shopping etc. recommend some weather stripping on lakeside door and flat mat at front door Otherwise a perfect spot. We enjoyed friends and family visits. Thanks for the well stocked kitchen with tea coffee and spices and plenty laundry soap and toilet paper. We were so blessed. Never met the owners who live on the property but appreciated they were nearby if needed. Thanks for giving us recovery space. Bless you

Love this Place!

  • 5 of 5

Owner provided great communication prior to the visit and very good directions. The house was stocked with more than enough linens, dishes, utensils... and it was beautifully decorated! It sits off the street, which meant great parking and very quiet. Great outdoor space with grill, fire pit, plenty of fire wood and seating! I would not only recommend this place to friends, I hope to stay here again my next trip to Kodiak.

The only thing to watch is pulling out on to Mission Street, not a real good line of sight.

Felt like Home

  • 5 of 5

My wife, daughter and I stayed here for about two weeks in July, as my son lives down the street...What a tremendous spot...All descriptions were "spot-on"...Great back-yard, w/ nice grill and nice table n chairs, quiet w/ awesome view...Perfect for cooking at home, or dining out in town...the Beds were very comfortable...Bathroom new, and "just big enough"...Whole place was very clean...All appliances, especially washer/dryer were great convenience, and work well... Parking and access, very easy and welcoming...Nice neighbors too...I've done the hotels downtown and this is a much better "set-up" than either one..., at comparable/ or better pricing...Close proximity to grocery store, and entertainment ("sea-plane sightseeing", fishing, beach walking), could walk to downtown, but better by car...Kodiak also has a cab service available...I highly recommend this quaint little cottage to anyone.... On our next trip to Kodiak we definitely plan to stay here.....
