Description

Warrensville Cabin Rental Photos and Description

2 Private Bedrooms, Sleeping Loft With 2 Twin Beds, And 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 6-8

Alluring Ambiance is a wonderful cabin for your family and friends. You work hard for all year long and it’s time to take a vacation to the Blue Ridge Mountains. You deserve to relax and spend quality time with your loved ones and Alluring Ambiance is just what the doctor ordered!!! Sorry but this cabin is NOT pet friendly.

This wonderful 2 bedroom with sleeping loft and 2 full bathroom cabin is a great place to make those memories that will last a life time!! We sit perched above the historic South Fork of the New River with beautiful river views and river access at the common area. The river is perfect for fishing, canoeing, rafting, or just taking in the peaceful beauty. You get the best of both worlds…..river views and mountain views! After spending time here, you’ll realize that life is really good!!

Once inside you’ll just love the open floor plan of the living room, kitchen, and dining area. The living has a cozy gas fireplace for those cold winter days and a 42” flat screen TV with Direct TV. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and just off the kitchen is the dining area for seating up to 6. There is also a full bathroom just off the living room. You’ll also LOVE spending time out on our covered porch with a porch swing and several rocking chairs.

The master bedroom is on the main level with a comfy king size bed, Satellite TV, walk in closet, and a private full bathroom. It’s your own private retreat! There is another private bedroom on the upper level with a queen size bed and Satellite TV. The sleeping loft has 2 twin size beds for extra sleeping as well.

As you travel downstairs, you’ll find our family/game room. There’s plenty of room for everyone to spread out. You can watch Satellite TV and relax on our cozy leather couch or enjoy a friendly competitive game of Foosball. Plus there is an electric fireplace to keep everyone one warm while taking advantage of our game room. There is also a full size sleeper sofa for additional sleeping if necessary. NOTE: We do not endorse sleeper sofas or futons for any guests over 12 years of age due to comfort factors.

Just outside of the family room on the lower level, you’ll find our 4-5 person hot tub. Indulge yourself in our bubbly and soothing spa after a long day of hiking, shopping, canoeing, fishing, or biking. It’s a great way to relieve the stress of all of the hustle and bustle of everyday life! After all, you do deserve it!!!!

Take a nice short stroll down to the common area near the entrance of the community and enjoy the access to the river. From here, you can take advantage of everything the river has to offer…..fishing, swimming, canoeing, or tubing. You can even take a picnic lunch and a blanket to the common area and enjoy yourself by relaxing and feeding the ducks. All of this could be yours! This area is laid back, the local folks are friendly, and our area is majestic.

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow and some foggy days and occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive/AWD, good tires and chains may be necessary. It is YOUR responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO REFUNDS, allowances or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.

Avoid This Rental Agent!!!

  • 1 of 5

The home is nice enough but the rental agent is a disaster. Here's why; Gave us directions to the wrong house. His response to this is (quote), "The wrong directions only took you out of the way maybe 1/2 mile and maybe 5 minutes" Actually it was 19.6 miles and 35 minutes on mountain roads.

The next day I called him to let him know that the grill would only work on low. And, although I had followed direction and put chemicals in the hot tub it would not clear up. HIs reply was "Now, the water got cloudy by your guests using it. That is not my fault". So what are we supposed to do, just look at it but don't get in! On the grill not heating, his reply is, "It is a little aggravating but after a few tries, it starts working again". At 8:17 when I called him after 3 tries, I gave up.

Did someone come to assist us? Yes, his wife came about 45 minutes after I called and brought another propane tank (there were supposed to be 2 at the home anyway) and brought more hot tub chemicals. I added the bromine tablets to the hot tub floater and shocked the hot tub. In his text the next day he says that, "you refused to let her treat the water and make it right", when all I did was offer to put the bromine tablets in the floater which was inside the house and not in the hot tub where it should have been anyway.

He refers to these issues as "minor inconveniences" but the conveniences listed with the rental were precisely why we paid to rent this property in the first place.

His final resolution to these "minor inconveniences" is a text stating that... "I've made the owner aware of your inconveniences".

My advice is find someone more reputable.

Owner's Response: I am so very sorry that these guests had a less than perfect weekend. I will admit that I did send the wrong directions to the guests. I take full responsibility for my mistake. There was a glitch with my automated email software for the directions/code that should have been emailed 5 days prior to arrival. He called a few days prior to his arrival to say that he did not receive them so I manually sent them in an emailed and it was the wrong one. This is a very rare occurrence and it won't happen again. I did offer the guest a partial refund of $100 for his trouble but he did not feel like it was adequate. The grill was working fine prior to the guest's arrival. He called on his 2nd day there to let me know he was having issues with the grill. He let me know the next day that the grill was working fine and that the propane tank that is on the grill is almost full. So, I really don't know why he had issues with the grill. We checked it after they left and turned it on and it was working just fine. The hot tub was drained and refilled with filtered fresh water and chemically treated the morning of their arrival. Plus the water was tested using a digital meter for accuracy. We do this to ensure that the water will be in perfect condition for our guests. When he called on the 2nd afternoon during his stay about the water condition, he admitted that his family did use the hot tub the night before. He said that the water was a little murky and he was unable to clear it up. So I immediately sent someone up there. I wasn't sure, at the time, about the propane tank so I had them to take a brand new full tank, just in case. My representative was going see what she can do since she has more experience. When she arrived, she was greeted at the door and was told NOT to come in that they will take care of it. This particular spa does not use a bromine floater. The bromine tablets are kept in the built in KLEEN H20 dispenser which is inside the filter cartridge which is not regularly accessible by our guests, which is the reason I sent someone immediately. I have instructions at all of my rentals with rules and policies for our hot tubs. If they are not followed, then something like this can happen. However if it does happen, we do everything possible to rectify the situation and to try to keep all of our guests happy. I am really deeply sorry that our guests were not happy with my services and attempts to make them happy.
