The Cardinal family enjoys living just around the lake from our 2 vacations rentals. We are just a phone call away if we are needed and are able to tell you great things about this fun filled area.
Barbara and Richard Cardinal purchased this cottage in 2009
We chose to buy this rental for its location across the street from the Beach. Our other location is nestled in the woods on the opposite side of the lake so we can now offer our guests the vacation they choose.
Once you pull in the driveway, you never need to get back into that car again. If you have small children this is super convenient. No car necessary, you can walk across the street for a swim and run back for nap time while you catch up on your reading relaxing on the front porch or getting organized for your next trip to the beach where they can have fun with new friends in the clean waterrs of Culver Lake.
Loved staying at Barb & Rich's lake/beach house. The house was super clean and provided everything we could have needed for vacation and then some. Couldn't ask for better hosts.
We had use of kayaks and a canoe and the lake was beautiful. The house had a fully stocked kitchen, barbecue, washer/dryer, and a cooler to bring to the beach, only steps away. The place was beautiful inside and out. Built by the owner, the interior was rustic and cozy but had plenty of room for friends and family. A/C for the hot days and there was even a fireplace to take the chill off or for a romantic night. Across the street is the clubhouse with a sandy beach and has lifeguards, diving board, ping pong and also has a canteen for snacks and lunch if you don't want to cook. The private backyard with golf course view was quiet and perfect for relaxing and reading a good book or hanging out on the deck with friends. A few doors down is the golf course's Robin' Nest restaurant for drinks and dinner. Also enjoyed relaxing on the front porch with coffee in the morning which also provided a great place to sit back and watch the sun set.
Perfect location - awesome house! Already thinking about next year's vacation.
Thank you for letting us stay in your lake retreat!
As always our stay was great. The house is just as advertised plus more. The kids had a great time being so near the lake and clubhouse. Barbara made sure we didn't want for a thing. A fun, relaxing and pleasant time was had by all. Looking forward to next year. June & Ed Merrill
The house is beautiful, and built by the owners themselves. It has a very open floor plan, so it's easy for people sitting in the living room to talk with people in the kitchen and dining room, and even the lofted spaces upstairs, which was wonderful for our party, since there were twelve of us. Everything is extremely clean and well cared for, and Barbara was very prompt and helpful in answering questions. We had a really wonderful stay!
8 of us in our early 30s, college gang reunion party. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Barbara, for your warm hospitality. You answered our questions promptly and thoroughly. Absolutely no confusion or disappointment when it came to the description and details. We liked that your home is right next to the golf course and the lake. Convenient for us to BBQ in the backyard and cook in the kitchen. The table is nice for card games and the DVD player allowed us to play our favorite music. The beds were comfortable and the driveway allowed us to park several cars. The house was easy to find and the surrounding area allowed us to purchase food and drink and also dine after leaving the home. We will remember your home and we hope to return. Enjoy the autumn season.
This is our second year renting this house and we can't wait to come back again next year. The house is clean, roomy (had 6 adults and 6 kids fit comfortably) and has beautiful views of the lake and golf course. Lake is clean and everyone enjoyed some great swimming and terrific fishing. Golf course is perfect for a quick morning round and was in very good condition. Plenty of scenic hiking nearby as well. Quaint antique stores nearby were a great getaway from the sun when we needed a break. We will definitely be back.
The owners, Barb and Rich, are great and VERY accomodating. Easy to deal with and they keep the house and property in GREAT shape.
I can't thank Barbara enough for how wonderful our stay was at their lake house. We live locally, but wanted a more central location for my bridesmaids and I to stay before our wedding. She was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and understanding throughout the chaos of the wedding weekend! The house is in a perfect location across from the lake, and everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided. My girls and I loved staying and then getting ready for the wedding day at the house! We took wonderful pictures there, and the best are in front of the beautiful fireplace. The house is a perfect cozy lake house! Thank you so very much!
Many hiking trails through out Stokes State Forest, water falls, highest point in New Jersey at High Point State Park, Mining museums, zoo and much, much more.
