Thank you so much for fitting us in to stay the extra night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your condo. It is so comfy and clean. After a month in our truck camper traveling through and exploring Alaska, finding your condo gave us a few days of space to relax and regroup for the rest of our travels.
William's condo was an exact fit for our needs. Great location that allowed us to make many day trips and gave ys this wonderful condo to come back to. It was clean and comfy! I would highly recommend a stay at William's condo in Girdwood! What an awesome vacation!
We had never been to Alaska and we would have spent more time here now having been there. Girdwood is a great location for Seward Hwy, Portgage, Anchorage and the Winner Creek Trail was awesome! The property was very nice. The kitchen was well appointed and the Jacuzzi tub was much needed.
Booked a week here as our base for part of our Alaska vacation. The location was wonderful - quiet, uncrowded, and close to amenities. We loved having the kitchen with all of the basics for making meals, the video collection for some down time, and the laundry facility for getting our clothes back in order.
Everything was comfortable, super clean and exactly as described; and we had no problem getting settled in. Billy was a wonderful host and quick to answer all of our questions and concerns. We would love to return someday and would most definitely recommend a stay here to a friend.
location and condo was exactly as described. Everything there for your stay. Very nice / modern bathroom.
This condo was very well kept. It was clean with up scale appliances and furniture. The Jacuzzi tub was a big plus! Loved having the fireplace (this was a big deciding factor, for me, when I chose my place to stay). However, the fireplace was not cleaned out or stocked with firewood. The poorest character, was that the whole building smelled lake stale mildew, and the beds smelled like chemicals. I had to keep the sliding glass door open a little, to keep the smell down. The listing was very accurate about this condo and it's location and attractions. Although very clean, and I did enjoy my stay, I could not stay here again, due to sensitivity to odors.
We loved it here and would definitely stay here again. It is steps away from the sitzmark where there is live music and delish food. Also near by is Jack sprats and the bake shop. Cozy up next to the fire or play a bored game. This is he perfect getaway spot.
While visiting Girdwood here are some ideas of activities. Ride the scenic tram to the top of Mt. Alyeska and capture the panoramic views of Turnagain Arm, surrounding mountains and “hanging” glaciers. For the active, hike the new North Face Trail to the Upper Tram Terminal and catch a complimentary ride down on the tram. Explore the floral and fauna of North America’s northern most rainforest on a hike on the Winner Creek Trail. Take a trip out to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center just ten minutes south down the Seward highway to see moose, bears, caribou, bison, musk ox and much more! Take a helicopter ride up to a glacier high in the mountains and dog sled with an authentic Iditarod team. See the valley surrounding Alyeska Resort from the skies with a tandem paragliding outing paired with a certified paraglider. Choose from a variety of full-day cruise adventures in Prince William Sound (Whittier) just 15 minutes south of Girdwood or Resurrection Bay (Seward) 2 hours away.
