About Mike & Julie Parker 7351 Penny Ln, St Helen Mi. 48656 parkerscozycabin@gmail.com

We are life time Michiganders and thoroughly enjoy the 'up north' experience. We enjoy riding our ATVs and Jeep and have taken so many trips to this area because there is just so much we love to do! We hope you will come and stay and make wonderful memories of your own.

Mike & Julie Parker 7351 Penny Ln, St Helen Mi. 48656 parkerscozycabin@gmail.com purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Mike & Julie Parker 7351 Penny Ln, St Helen Mi. 48656 parkerscozycabin@gmail.com chose Northern Michigan

We have traveled to the West Branch/ Houghton Lake/ St. Helen area for years to drive our jeep and quads and to play golf. After numerous trips, we realized this area was the perfect 'up north' destination! We feel lucky to have found such a beautiful log home in such a great location.

What makes this cabin unique

After seeing the character of the log interior, along with the beautiful river rock fireplace, we were enchanted. After relaxing out on the deck and taking in the surrounding beauty, we were sold! This property has the charm of a log home with all the modern amenities that make for an exceptional experience.

Absolutely Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay Parker's Cozy Cabin! It was a fantastic weekend. The cabin has everything you need. The beds have tons of blankets to keep you warm. The bathrooms have plenty of towels. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking supplies. There wasn't one thing that we needed to bring from home - it was all there. We especially enjoyed the fireplace. It's beautiful to look at and it so nice to sit around and enjoy family talks. My daughter enjoyed the sledding hill right in the backyard. We spent hours outside as a family enjoying the snow. We highly recommend staying at the cabin! You won't regret it.

An unbeliveable vacation home

  • 5 of 5

Parker's cozy cabin was a great place for our family's vacation. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place. Our grandchildren loved kayaking to the island and fishing from the dock.

Wonderful home made for a fabulous family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had the pleasure and good fortune of being able to stay at Parker's Cozy Cabin this August. It was perfect! The owners were great and easy to work with. The beach was ideal for the grandchildren as they could swim all day without having to worry about deep water. Everyone caught a fish or two off the dock or in the canoe. The kayak's were favorites of mine (65 years old) and my grand daughter (7 years old). Each night we enjoyed the beautiful fire pit and watched the sunset. Our pictures and memories are amazing! Thank you!

A wonderful week in a beautiful home.

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week with our children, their spouses and our 5 grandchildren, ages 4 months to 9 years, in Mike & Julie's, beautiful home. They were so easy to communicate with and they go above and beyond what they need to do as the homeowners. They even have little toothbrushes & soaps in case you forget yours.

The home was very well kept and fit all of us very easily. The deck is a wonderful place to have your morning coffee, which we all did every morning, or to send the kids to play when they need to get rid of some energy. The firepit is one of the nicest ones that we've ever seen and we had s'mores on more then one occasion. The lake is perfect for little children and they could always catch their "big" fish right from the dock. They even used bread and nets. We are pretty sure they kept catching the same ones but it didn't matter because they were having a blast and still say that was their favorite part of vacation.

The lake has a sandy bottom for a little ways but then gets very mucky and you start to sink in. This was perfect for our grandchildren but it was not great for those of us adults who wanted to go swimming but there are many lakes around the area to go swimming, so we weren't bothered by that. The kayaks allowed us to go out and play in the water without actually having to be in the water. My 9 year old was thrilled that she went around the "island" with her daddy in her own kayak. Such a beautiful memory for her to have.

The Internet connection was not great, but once again, we didn't go on vacation to be on electronic devices We went to play yard games by day, card games by night or just sit around and talk and make memories. That was certainly accomplished and everyone had a wonderful time. It's amazing how fast a week can go when you are all having a good time.

We even spent a day on a pontoon boat at Higgins Lake. That was a wonderful day, as well. There are many things to do in the area, but we spent most of our time just enjoying the "cabin".

I would certainly recommend Parkers Cozy Cabin to anyone who wants to have a very enjoyable, relaxing vacation. We certainly did and you won't find more accommodating and attentive people then Mike & Julie.
