About Mike & Julie Parker 7351 Penny Ln, St Helen Mi. 48656 parkerscozycabin@gmail.com

We are life time Michiganders and thoroughly enjoy the 'up north' experience. We enjoy riding our ATVs and Jeep and have taken so many trips to this area because there is just so much we love to do! We hope you will come and stay and make wonderful memories of your own.

Mike & Julie Parker 7351 Penny Ln, St Helen Mi. 48656 parkerscozycabin@gmail.com purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Mike & Julie Parker 7351 Penny Ln, St Helen Mi. 48656 parkerscozycabin@gmail.com chose Northern Michigan

We have traveled to the West Branch/ Houghton Lake/ St. Helen area for years to drive our jeep and quads and to play golf. After numerous trips, we realized this area was the perfect 'up north' destination! We feel lucky to have found such a beautiful log home in such a great location.

What makes this cabin unique

After seeing the character of the log interior, along with the beautiful river rock fireplace, we were enchanted. After relaxing out on the deck and taking in the surrounding beauty, we were sold! This property has the charm of a log home with all the modern amenities that make for an exceptional experience.

Beautiful Cabin for a Relaxing Retreat

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is beautiful and even the photos do not do it justice! They say love is in the details - and you can tell owners Mike and Julie love their guests! They have everything you could possibly need for your stay. There are instructions throughout the home on how to make your visit relaxing, but they are done in a way that is homey and relaxing and doesn't make you feel like a guest. We were awed at every turn!

The lake the cabin sits on is shallow and so clear you can stand on the little dock and see to the bottom and watch fish swim by. Our kids were able to play on the beach and we had no worries! We spent many hours out by the lake relaxing, fishing and enjoying the sunshine.

For your stay consider visiting nearby Houghtown Lake for supplies, its relatively close and there are a mix of tourist stops and the staples (Wal*Mart, gas, food).

This is a beautiful home and well worth the price! We will definitely be back!

Thanks Mike & Julie.

Immaculate and cozy

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was perfect for my family, 7 adults and 5 kids. I wish there was a picture of the driveway in the front of the house. Since the weather wasn't great for us last week, the kids spent so much time riding their bikes in the long circular drive without any worries of cars. You can see everything from the kitchen. It was so perfect since we like to keep any eye on the little ones. The beds were awesome and the space was plentiful. If we lived closer we would have booked a week for next year already. The owners were super helpful from start to finish.

Wonderful.

One improvement needs to be made. All of our group could not open appt sent to us on direction s. so just like the owner said it took us done a rustic seasonal road. He needs to send directions the old fashion way.

The house was perfect!

Incredible Property!

  • 5 of 5

We had 4 couples spend the weekend. Lots of room to spread out. Plenty of bedrooms. We stayed in April but it would be a great place to stay in the summer and use the lake. Incredible view! The dining table is a little small to accomodate any more than 8 people and the benchs are a little difficult for older people to sit comfortably any length of time. But overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely go back. The cabin was beautifully maintained and pristine clean. Couldn't have asked for nicer people to work with than the Parkers! Thank you for a n awesome stay! You definitely go above and beyond to accomodate your guests!

Beautiful cabin and relaxing atmosphere

  • 5 of 5

This is the second year my family and I have rented this cabin. It is truly an Amazing place! There is so much room to accommodate everyone and it is so beautiful. It has everything you would need and then some. Mike and Julie have thought of everything...lots of extra blankets, sleeping bags, air mattress, etc. They even have a cute tent downstairs for the kids. We have really enjoyed this space to spend time with our family...we watched movies, played games, cooked hot dogs over the camp fire, and brought sleds this year to sled down the hill on the side of the cabin down to the lake. Everyone had so much fun! We obviously stayed during the winter (both years), but I'm sure this place is just as Amazing in the summer. There is just a sense of relaxation while you are here...I don't think you can help but be happy and not want to leave! Mike and Julie are also Amazing if you need anything at all. They will do anything to make sure your stay is perfection...just great people! We will definitely be back and continue to stay here for years to come! You will not be disappointed...if anything, I'm sure it will exceed your expectations!

Womens 15th annual Winter Weekend

  • 5 of 5

I give this cabin and their kind services an A+++. They were prompt with answering questions and giving detailed information to help plan our stay. They had all the supplies we needed, and it was very clean and comfortable, from furniture to linens. We loved the décor from top to bottom!! What a pleasant environment to spend a weekend away. On our way to the cabin, we stopped at Tipsy Bear in West Branch for some flaming coffee. YUM! Also stopped to some Thrift stores. The 2nd day, we purchased an auger and a couple fish poles at the nearby Dunhams, to try some ice fishing in the back of the cabin. Couple gals snow-shoed, and we built an outdoor bonfire to sit around, and of course smores! :) Only minimal snow fell in the 4 days we were there, but the outdoor temperature was beautiful to be out in, and inside the cabin was absolutely a beautiful place to be! We played lots of games, made a puzzle, exercised in the awesome room downstairs using the big screen TV, and did some line-dancing in front of the fireplace on main floor. What a happy place!!! (I am not a very good "remote-controlling" person, so we greatly appreciated the step-by-step instructions on how to operate it for our DVD use) Thank you once again, Mike, Julie, cabin-cleaner, and whomever else makes this rental possible, for all you did to contribute to a very enjoyable weekend.
